Hey i see lots of posts talking  about their accounts being hacked

Can i ask how exactly hackers was able to steal your accounts in order

to get aware of it and protect our selfs
In addition to what "jackg" said, some of these incidents are connected to the "breach that happened in 2015 (About the recent server compromise)"

Also someone said he was able to block his account  after he got hacked   so  the hacker  can't use it   .. how can we do that  ??
That's correct. For that, you should setup your "Secret Question", then use it to recover the account (it locks your account automatically):
PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT

Profile > Account Related Settings > Secret Question (second to last part)

I think the locking of accounts also comes from changing their email. They get an email to the old address to ask if they want to block it.
Afaik, secret questions are quite easy to get an answer to by a bit of social engineering.

With browser security, two layers of mail, two layers of accounts, and a phone, it's hard to attack unless you're attacked by malicious code. Grin Grin Grin

To recover your account, you post an address anywhere on the forum (where the conditions allow), prefereably in the corrosponding thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/stake-your-bitcoin-address-here-996318.

Someone will quote this. You then need to keep the private key of this address safe and secure so you can sign it if your account gets hacked.

There are multiple ways accounts can get hacked. They're normally due to people using weak guessable passwords. Requests to ther server are either done by picking security flaws in recaptcha that can be liberated or copying certain information from the servers.

If a dormant account is hacked or an account that cannot be recoeverd easily then the account could be used to scam (before it gets detected that it's been hacked). If you're ever unsure, the seclog has all the recent password resets and account "wake ups".

Also  what is that  proof of ownership  and how to activate it  ? Because it seem  important to get back  your account

Also someone said he was able to block his account  after he got hacked   so  the hacker  can't use it   .. how can we do that  ??

And  also  if someone can tell me what is the benefit of hacking an account   that am sure it will get lot of  negative  trust
