Hi. I don't know how do it with security and trust. Lets discuss about.
I have a ideia of a lottery project in which people bet 0.0015 to a scrow address, and weekly a lottery for choose a random winner from the donators and send 90% of lottery address balance.
Every week with a new address and a history. Too I'm planning a site for it and wanting know how do Bitmessages+PGP signs.
For this week my planned address will be 1LUCKpajTjE8d2HPDx7Z5awQ59PGKpCaxV
What you think about?
Lets discuss.
its going to take a long and hard work to really convince people into your project and actually sell the idea without some basic infrastructure on ground. I will suggest you focus on getting the infrastructure ready before venturing into this project... my opinion though...

Please only bump your thread once every 24 hours. You can edit the previous post or the op with any additional info. Thanks.

Also, you're likely wasting your time with lotteries as they're usually very unsuccessful even with more veteran users.

first, do you know what is the use of the "EDIT" button? since you have a paid signature i think this will be a ground for you getting banned

there are some users that tries to run a lottery here in the past, they even use escrow, some are even trusted member of the forum but they all don't get users interested in lottery

I know the "EDIT" button, but I don't see a "HISTORY" button  Tongue I'm a Git user  Undecided
I can explore benefits of have a very low quantity of users  Wink (High bets and higher chance to win)
I'll think about it. Good to know that it is legal, is only the info I need.

If you're looking for opinions, then I'd rather see a Bitcoin Lottery pool with a focus on some of the large paying lotteries like the California lotteries that pay out 100's of millions. But you would have to start small and build trust over time and be able to convert BTC to $ to buy the tickets.

The user doesn't have a paid signature and given their posting habits, they might not have one for a very long time.

Its so easy to do but you don't have the skill otherwise you would be doing it and not here talking about it. Its such a good idea though that I may take the idea and make it a reality myself. You don't mind do ya?
It's neither a new idea nor a very good one.
There've been similar projects in the past that went...well, not so good.

Well honestly noone will show any interest in a lottery where the house takes 50%. You may as well forget about it now and not lose sleep.
IIRC even projects with a low house edge/no house edge have a problem getting a foot on the ground.
Wasn't there a +EV lottery by RHavar not too long back?

Whats the minimum value the "house" can get weekly?
I think 10% is good enough.
