I am on Linux in command line mode only through SSH , will I be able to use the client ?
Is there a command line version of the client ?
Sure, compile the daemon as described here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7841608
Unix build notes:
https://github.com/LottoShares/lottoshares/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md

It is compiled, I can launch it but nothing happen. I think I forgot to launch with an argument that display what's going on.

Code:
~/lottoshares/src# ./lottosharesd

What going on you can see only in debug.log file which located in .lottoshares folder.

is it safe to import the private key?

We strongly recommend you move your BTC/DOGE/PTS/MMC/ShareCoin/FootballCoin balance to new wallet before importing your keys or wallets in LottoShares.

I'll be writing a guide on this shortly.

I didn't try again but does it compile properly now ?
for compiling lottoshares daemon in linux:
- install the dependencies
- move the txt files (they are located in the /release) to the src folder.
- cd into the src and type this -> make -f makefile.unix
after that, run it with ./lottosharesd
(it's important for daemon to see txt files in the same directory.)

Code:
make: [obj/db.o] Error 1 (ignored)
cp: cannot stat ‘obj/db.d’: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: 2: cannot open obj/db.d: No such file
g++ -c -O2 -pthread -Wall -Wextra -Wformat -Wformat-security -Wno-unused-parameter -g -DBOOST_SPIRIT_THREADSAFE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -I/root/lottoshares/src -I/root/lottoshares/src/obj -DUSE_UPNP=0 -DUSE_IPV6=1 -I/root/lottoshares/src/leveldb/include -I/root/lottoshares/src/leveldb/helpers -DHAVE_BUILD_INFO -fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2  -MMD -MF obj/init.d -o obj/init.o init.cpp
In file included from walletdb.h:8:0,
                 from init.cpp:8:
db.h:14:20: fatal error: db_cxx.h: No such file or directory
 #include
                    ^
compilation terminated.

No idea what's going on. Can someone upload a Linux binary ?

EDIT : seems that I forgot to sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev
No more errors.

How do I import wallet?

Why is AGS shares vested while BTC and DOGE holders are not vested?

AGS shares are awarded proportionally and there are some large holders - their shares are vested and awarded over time to avoid large dumping distorting the early market.

BTC and DOGE holders each receive a small amount of coin irrespective of their amounts of BTC/DOGE.

Hi FreeTrade. I failed to get LTS from my AGS BTC address. When I import the BTC private key, it shows "Error adding key to wallet". I don't know why.
My BTC address is 17enyuDJz5w5ybgKcsATgfgxQrhnB5Szu5 (http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/17enyuDJz5w5ybgKcsATgfgxQrhnB5Szu5).
Could you help me? Thanks!

The problem is done. Thanks!

If you really wanted to protect your coins you could just send them to another wallet and then use the original empty wallets private keys.   Wink

This is very good advice. Please heed it.

Hopefully we'll have a more secure route to importing your balance shortly.

after reading every post, i still don't get how to get a stake; i hold btc, lost my sharecoin's at the hit and run exchange, and ofcourse bttalk user  Huh

https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/1307786496/hA2DD081B/

Its easy, open up your bitcoin wallet and go to the console, type walletpassphrase yourpassword 9999

That will unlock your wallet, then type dumpprivkey RECIEVEADDRESS (do this for each receive address you created)
It will display your private key (do not give this to anyone)

Open your Lottoshares wallet and do the walletpassphrase thing again in console.

again in console type importprivatekey THEKEYYOUGOTFROMBITCOINWALLET

When the block chain moves forward you'll get your coins.

Do this for your Dogecoin, Memorycoin2, Protoshares, Footballcoin and sharecoin wallets. Imort all the keys into your lottoshares wallet.

POOF! free coins, make sure that you thank Freetrade for the free money.

awesome, thank you for the help. any tips on getting a private key out of multibit? I tried exporting the key and opening it as a text file... but the private key inside appears to be of a different format than the ones I extracted from my DOGE and PTS wallets :\

Wouldn't be great if instead of introducing private key we could just Sign an address and introduce that signature to get the lottoshares?

Does this make any sense?

Yes it does. I'm going to look into whether it is possible to generate the transaction with a public key, and then sign the transaction in a trusted wallet.

For now, move your balance to a new wallet so that your wallet/privkey is empty before claiming LTS.
