I don't think this TX accelerator will help much more seems they already rebroadcast your transaction
Tx accelerators do not rebroadcast your transaction to other nodes. They are owned by mining pools and if you are lucky enough and they accept to accelerate your transaction, they will include it in the block they are trying to solve regardless of the fee you paid.

Quote
But I rarely heard that about transactions get rejected by mempool by low fees, it will always be confirmed but it takes a couple of days or weeks.
If a transaction remain too long in the mempool and don't get confirmed, it will be dropped (after 14 days/default setting). Also, if the mempool become too congested, nodes will start dropping low-fees transactions.

The TX has been confirmed though. It has currently got 583 confirmations, which means that it was first confirmed about 4 days ago (mined on block 672004, on the 2021-02-24 17:08).

The mempool at the time was still seemingly pretty packed (see https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,1w), so it seems to have been pretty fortunate (bearing in mind that RBF was not an option).

Transactions are irreversible. It’s just stuck on the blockchain, and it’s highly expected that low transaction fees are the cause of the delay for it to be fully confirmed. I have done that before on a low transaction, and it took me a long while to make it confirmed until someone suggested for me to use a Bitcoin TX accelerator. That would solve the problem, but only a limited number of users can use it every hour.
That's why in every moment that you are trying to make transactions on Bitcoin, I suggest always check these sites first before deciding to transfer your Bitcoin to another wallet. (Mempool and Johoe's Bitcoin Mempool Statistics ).  To know what exactly the required amount by the network needed if you're in hurry and I don't think this TX accelerator will help much more seems they already rebroadcast your transaction, I much prefer to use (RBF) Replace-by-fee for the stuck transaction due to causing a low fee.

But I rarely heard that about transactions get rejected by mempool by low fees, it will always be confirmed but it takes a couple of days or weeks.

It's been stuck for 21 days now, I think it's pretty much lost forever.
I'm still surprised your transaction is taking much time to confirm since 17 Feb you created the thread, the problem is your old BIP32 seed phrases that's impossible to export to electrum to perform fee bumping. Two weekends already passed and trx still not confirmed, have you tried submitting your trx id to free accelerators on the forum at service board?

They may help you out but your chance of been helped will be low because the fee you used is too low.

Bitcoins don't get "lost" this way, they stay in your original wallet until the transaction confirms.

Fees are still high, as long as your wallet keeps broadcasting the transaction, it doesn't drop from mempool.
You've been offered several solutions, if you have the receiving address in Electrum, all you have to do is making a new transaction to your own address with a high fee.

I mean your transaction might get confirmation next 2 weeks (in the weekend with your fee 3 satoshi per byte) or will be dropped from mempool (expired) next 7 days. Your transaction was in the mempool 7 days ago, and 7 more days will be the minimum time to wait for its expiration from mempool.

Thank you. I did not know about the acceleration with raw transaction. In your topic you added links to many coins and not only bitcoin. Amazing.

Do all those tools can give free acceleration?

All bar one of them are free, I have no evidence the one that charges doesn't actually do what it claims to.  I really need to clean up the listings in the first post especially seperating broadcasters from accelerators.

I'm trying the good old fashioned way:

Most accelerators won't work if the TX isn't in their mempool:

Mostly I noticed that in the course of low fees number of users started using low quality wallets and after it they claimed number of issues and as my opinion if we paid more fee but the wallet is safest it's best.
Higher than the previous low fee would be much helpful. Having a low fee when the mempool have lots of unconfirm transactions means that the unconfirmed transactions that has low fee are less likely to be confirmed right away unless you pay higher fees.

It will be good to make use of child-pay-for-parent in this case, provided if the OP is able to spend the unconfirmed transaction. Using paid accelerators is a way high. According to the txid above on blockchain explorer, leopheard paid a fee of 2.526 sat/byte for a transaction that has 3 inputs. The fee is very low and can not get the transaction confirmed in time because of the congested mempools. But, using paid accelerators will demand for much higher fee that you can still use CPFP to manipulate. Currently, I have a transaction of 1 input and 1 output using native segwit transferring to legacy address, set the fee for 5 sat/byte, although, for experimental purpose, I tried to use ViaBTC acceleratator, it demanded for $75. I can use very lower fee to pump the transaction or low fee for CPFP.

Also, regarding free acceleratator, it does not just work like that, the fee used is also a determinant, if the fee is too low like in this case above, it will not be included in the 100 list per hour. People that make use of the free acceleratator earlier per hour (but not that only) and that pay higher fee but not getting confirmed transaction will only be included. So, the likely chance that the transaction above can be included in free acceleratator is not likely this time around when the mempool is so congested.

Seems this fee errors often occur when the bitcoin market seems to boom newly and later drops even with the price relatively stable for a period on the high side. So, is that to mean we should avoid transacting when the market booms? Or is there a strategy to go about transacting?

I do thinking that is happening during this time that we have bull. Before this time, when btc was bear , transactions were taken with the low fees and delivery was no problem. Now it is bull and you make it with low fee , the bitcoin price increase just when you click for sending the coin and also immediately the fees increase. This make your transaction stopped for process until bitcoin drop for the fees. I see in my side this can be one reason transaction delay is happening.

I use this site https://bitaccelerate.com recently when my transaction stuck for quite long so give a shot about this option so that your transaction will be confirmed.
Another tax accelerator: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

This accelerator provides two services: free or paid service. The max transactions per hour for free accelerator is 100. See details at the TA section
Quote
How to use Transaction Accelerator

  • Free Acceleration: No need to sign in, you can submit any TXID of delayed transactions that at least include a fee of 0.0001BTC/KB. By order of submission, ViaBTC supports acceleration of 100 FREE transactions per hour. Please resubmit your TXID at next new hour (e.g. 13:00 sharp) if it surpasses the hourly limit.
  • Paid Acceleration: You must sign in to use this service. The fee will be deducted from your BCH account balance. If the available balance is insufficient, you will then need to deposit to continue.
  • We will prioritize submitted transactions to be included in the next block we mine. The block generation time may vary due to the change in luck. For more details, please view the block record.

Hi all,

So I found an old Android wallet and sent the remaining funds to my new wallet. The wallet I used to send the funds was this old Android one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet. Obviously there's no RBF feature.

I stupidly put the fee WAY too low, here is the stuck transaction:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/5efd80ebe5edfe7cb21974b27a33b735151f30706271c1ce467348acd3a8350b.

What can I do to bump this transaction? I can't use Electrum as it won't accept the old BIP32 phrase or the 12 word seed as it's too old. Exodus won't import it because it's not in base58 format and tells me the WIF is too long?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking my only option is to hope that the transaction is bounced back to me in a few weeks.
Not few weeks, only a week maximum because unconfirmed transactions can stay in the memepool for only 14 days so it will be dropped by pools sooner.

And it seems that is not the only choice you have, thanks to double spending. Wink

Okay, now I'm getting more confused. It created a transaction that transferred the balance of that address to this new electrum wallet.
In your new Electrum wallet, make sure you enable spending unconfirmed coins within Settings. After that, make a new transaction with your unconfirmed 0.04963597BTC, send it to your own address, and pay about 5 times more fee than needed to cover the previous transaction. At the moment, around 100 sat/byte would be enough. So the total cost still wouldn't be that bad.

Okay, now I'm getting more confused. It created a transaction that transferred the balance of that address to this new electrum wallet. The transaction that has been pending since Feb 11th or so is nowhere to be seen, doesn't appear in the history as unconfirmed.

I'm thinking my only option is to hope that the transaction is bounced back to me in a few weeks.
The fee for the unconfirmed transaction is 3 sat per byte and you will have to wait to 2 more weeks and I think it can get a confirmation in the next 2 weekend.

Bounce back. I think you meant about the automated drop of your unconfirmed transaction from a mempool. The default option allows each mempool drops unconfirmed transaction each 14 days. It is one mempool and you would know other mempools might add yours to their mempools as well.
