Yes, i agree, but the price is at $11,500 at the moment, it broke that resistance.

Anyway, it will keep going down for a few more days until the futures are finally liquidated after all. So expect to see the downtrend until January the 26th at least.
It seems to hit bottom around 10k every time. Then when it creeps back up to 12.5/13 it drops again. Weird cycle.

I think that Bitcoin can go as low as $6-7k. At this price people will start buying bitcoins again, so there will be demand and the price will go up or at least stay at about the same level. If there will be no interest at $6-7k, BTC can go even lower to $4-5k, but no more. Otherwise it will be considered as Bitcoin's death.

We could be looking at a major 75% correction. These markets simply went parabolic, too fast. If this happens, I'll be buying with both fists.

I don't think it will go below 12k like it went few days back.

But it also depends on the kind of news which is being shared like being banned by a country or a new technology being introduced.
Today it reached the price of 11k though I believe it will recover in a few days or so.

Banning of bitcoin in certain countries with low bitcoin traders will probably have no effect or just scratch.

No, the wider the use of bitcoin, the more likely it is to rise
yes it would be true in relation to every currency that can be used to pay for everyday services. But unfortunately it is no longer the case with bitcoin. Something needs to be done to reverse the trend to use bitcoin as store of value only. For one thing, I have great hopes in relation to LN. If it delivers on its promises, than yes - the wider the use, the higher the price.

If bitcoin much longer stays as store of value only, we may all be surprise how quickly it will sink towards 0.

It could easily fall back to mid-2016 levels since, really, not much fundamental has changed since then. $600. Many rational investors would say even that level is totally ridiculous given the paltry transaction volume so really there's no bottom. I'd be a buyer under $1,000 however just for speculation.

all investors have a price threshold of Bitcoin,
if the price of bitcoin past 11k, certainly will happen panic sell extraordinary
and if the price does not touch 11k, then investors will continue to buy bitcoin at current prices
believe me, the price of the BTC will rise again on Tuesday

It is now at present at 10k. Lowest went till 9200$ . So I think this would be the last dump wave that could happen and again in couple of days the upswing will start and the price recovery from 10 to 13k should happen every quickly say within a week or so.

BTC should make a comeback next week after the dust settles from South Korea.

Denied Cheesy

I'm afraid we might have broken the uptrend. If this is true, Bitcoin could go back to 7-8K I think. Say hello to 8K bear!

This 8K is not the lowest target tho, it just like the most likely scenario. As usual, there have always been no lowest and highest for Bitcoin Cheesy

Kinda sad this scenario really happen. Just three days after I made the post. :/

Of course, it would make me feel terrible as well. But if you bought at, let's say, 14k, then you shouldn't think about selling at all, you could just keep your coins till the price rises again.... I mean if you've bought at 1k then it is up to you when to sell - you still will earn a lot. This is sadly a mistake that a lot of newbies do, selling when it's bad idea as they think that bitcoin is "dead".

when it fell from a 1000 to 200 and stayed there for a few months I felt nervous too Smiley Well, everybody who sold at those levels can blame themselves. I didn't sell but rather persevered, and look where I am now - at 13k (used to be 20k too at one point). So it is just a question on one's nerves - how resilient they are Smiley

You're example to everyone why they should HODL! I mean lots of bitcoin newbies expect for easy and fast profit so they think that by selling when btc started crashing will protect them losing less... But they wouldn't lose anything if they've just kept their bitcoins.

my post was not intended as any guidelines but rather as providing the past example of what may happen. I stand by what I wrote - that is a personal choice of anybody how resilient they are and what risk levels they accept. Van Tharpe recommended to have a top loss for every trade you make. You see, I was lucky because it stayed at 200 long, but then came back up to 20k. Equally possible was the other scenario: that it would hover around 200 indefinitely.

I do not like such kind of predictions, we really do not know what is going to be with bitcoin in the future, the humanity is still learning to use it. But of course I am hoping for the brightest future for bitcoin, as every holder apparently.
all who hold bitcoin certainly want that bitcoin has a bright future. because the bitcoin can help us in fulfilling our life needs to be better than our previous lives.

But these are only predictions... And even if bitcoins price would fall to 8k through next 24 hours it wouldn't be that bad, as it's price will go up anyway, just give it some time.

If OP is asking this because he bought bitcoins at higher price and wants to sell them now, then don't. Just keep them and wait till price will go up again... It might be hard to see how you "lose" money every day if price is falling but you'll be glad that you haven't sold them later, once price rises up again.

8K would make me nervous a lot. My threshold of comfort is 10K as my trend like is passing from there. As long as btc doesn't go below 10k level and stay there a little bit I will be holding but if it goes below it can be a trend change.

I like your positivity. Don't totally know but I don't think it will reach below 10K-11K its far enough. Last week it only reached 12K even there was a fud of the South Korean ban.

Some people is waiting for a correction to $8k and some another one believes that can decrease to $5k.
For now, the lowest price of bitcoin was around 12k this year.

it could happen as we know that bitcoin price is too volatile. the more people panic, the more the price will go down and the correction will go too deep. but one thing that we should know that even the price is going to go down, it will back to reach the highest price and if we could, then we should buy more bitcoin if we still have fiat in the exchange because that moment will not happen again in the future.

I think Bitcoin will stabilise around $15,000 but the dynamics of the platform have to change before Altcoins start to develop a better platform and increase their share of the market. It's only a matter of time unless Bitcoin changes and adapts to new technological advances then it's crown might begin to slip. Don't get me wrong Bitcoin is the daddy of all Crypto's but the fees and transaction times are going to become the proverbial weights that start to drag it down so it needs to change its model to survive as the cryptocurrencies main coin.  Smiley

Looking forward to seeing some advancements and hope 2018, will be just as good for BTC as the previous year. BTC

well we can never be sure about it of course. for me most important is my own technical analysis, my support / resistance and trend lines. as long as it doesn't break below 10K usd  I don't see any problem.

xm this is nasty situation for all crypto,  total market cap went down $100 bln since Monday. Don't expect the start of a turnaround in the Bitcoin price until mid-February. The price will likely end up in the $10k range by then. we all need more patience and new momentum to start, then we can expect value around 25K.
