Very easy. LTC holders are fearing that we are approaching a new all time high on Bitcoin, so they are dumping their LTC. ALL altcoins have been on the red for the past 24 hours and more. The thing is, everyone just wants to make more Bitcoin, and Litecoin holders are no different, make no mistake.

Ironically, from the top 10 coins Zcash was the only that I saw on the greens with a 5% price increase. I wonder who the hell was buying ZCash in the middle of a massive Bitcoin rally lol

Revival should come soon.

Target is 0.018 BTC per LTC.

I thought you were saying LTC was dead one month ago. Now you prediction for LTC is 0.018 BTC Huh
Can you give me any reason why LTC will rise to that high? LTC is in a long term bear market and price just keeps dropping every month. There seems to be nothing that is able to stop this long term downtrend.

Why makes you feel optimism about LTC? I think SegWit won't give something for LTC. Because I don't see anything was being special caused by SegWit soon.

realistically as an actual proposition for commerce it's far better than btc, quicker, lower fees, no shadiness, but if there's no demand then it isn't.

That's the main point how will be useless it. Even SegWit was held for increasing the bitcoin performance and fixing the block size problem.
There is no a reason give SegWit for LTC in my mind.

i don't think segwit will do much for ltc. i don't really see where the need is for it. it will be good for all crypto to see a working implementation. perhaps a fully upgraded ltc with all the bells and whistles might actually inspire more people to take a look at it.

The litecoin may test the segwit for the bitcoin.

any idea why this is happening right now?

no clue so far

I also got shocked when see the price yesterday..anyways who loses big money for this situation/Price like that

could there be a relation between the LTC crash and the crash of ETH and REP? did they steal LTC from Bo Shen? at the 5th they sold LTC and on 6th of December they sold ETH and REP.

Well I think personally that Litecoin has been dead for a long time now and there isn't really anything that can revive it except a big pump, which will only last a while, or a huge change in the litecoin code, which i think it is pretty much impossible.

However chinese are still pretty big on it. Interesting to see.

Litecoin is not dead neither does it intend to die. The coin has come to stay and it has real-life uses - at least in China.
Yup, Litecoin will not die unless bitcoin dies or if there is major manipulation involved to kill it. It has lasted the most in altcoin, and is the first major altcoin,  I wouldn't give up on it just yet.
May the second reason caused by bitcoin trend and they also get any impact for their price. But LTC have enough power for that.

Not an end, just a big dump, that's all. You'll see a pump coming soon too. Same old tactics of big whales. Pump and dump.

Litecoin has a lot of future, don't under-estimate it. Roll Eyes

There will never be a LTC pump ever again Smiley.

Some litecoin whale decided to dump a lot litecoin onto the market, all at once.  Someone needed money.  That's bout the only real explanation,  everything else is jist guessing.
Very well said only bagholders or whales could able to dump its price like that. I think this is the end for LTC or just another strategic move and would tend to pump up on the near future. If it doesnt then LTC would remain its place.

altcoin market is at a pretty bad stage right now, everybody is dumping every altcoin in the market and turning their moneyz to bitcoin!

but as for litecoin it is really strange to see this kind of big dump and this only happens when Chinese dump, they are the only ones that dump like this, remember the LTC halving pump and sudden dump?

but one thing is certain: this is not the end of litecoin, a coin that has been around since 2013 ish
