Even if it is true or not, still majority of the people all around the world will choose bitcoin as their mode of payment in terms of money transferring, online payment, billings and many more.

Even having issues in transactions fees and delays still users trusted btc, since they see how it performed before, and maybe they don't trust or tried other alt yet.

High volume just means that its a speculative time, it got a big price boost so there was more trade. Generally though if the volume is higher but the marketcap lower it means people are trading and speculating rather than looking at the underlying value behind it.

Bitcoin has a lot of long term hodlers that don't trade.
that statement was right there's still a big numbers of bitcoin holders which still holding their coin and really wait for much bigger value,
even ltc already gaining huge volume its still speculative to think that it will hype that big still aiming for some good analysis before
falling to any thing i don't want to be trap though.

Most of the big time holders either lost their private keys or simply forgot about it. Tongue I am pretty sure that those who had a lot of coins either trade or gamble with it,some of the coins will be held for the long haul but they will be using it for reinvesting as there are many good investment opportunities to multiply your coins and why would anyone waste those opportunities.

Similar to what happened to Litecoin on Coinbase pump, Litecoin on Bitstamp caused a similar pump, but this time with way higher volume and with a way smaller dump, at least until now, from 0.01952 to around 0.018.

Let's see if the volume remains high, signaling the break of the ATH for good and more jumps in price.

There will be some profit taking and the speculative money will then rotate into another coin...

One thing that IS interesting is that transactions in the last 24 hours have picked up:

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/litecoin-transactions.html

It's still very low compared to bitcoin, but it indicates that some people are now using litecoin rather than bitcoin to move money (because of bitcoin fees and delays).

All I know is that I know nothing.
Is it worth investing at this all time high?

Was ethereum worth it when it was $48?

sadly the same thing can not happen with litecoin because for the most part litecoin is a decentralized crypto currency which does not have the advertising funds of centralized ethereum! and it doesn't have the funds dedicated for pumping it either.

also the only thing making litecoin relevant was SegWit and all the rest that came with it and that won't last long since bitcoin SegWit activation has reached 75% support in past 24 hours...

imho trade volume is mostly a vanity metric. The use cases of the coin are much more important. In LTC's case, the difference between the coin and Bitcoin

Yes, litecoin is trading 1/2 is market capital everyday and its phenomenal as other altcoins trade like 1 percent everyday. I think it will show massive growth in next few days so i think everyone should buy litecoin.

As we didn't know the price would skyrocket like now, it was a relevant question  Tongue Same question : does it worth it now ?

The answer is a bit harder.

Anyway we are in a pump so we can't predict when it will dump but we could see some violent movements in the next future.

if LTC market cap was the same than current ETH market cap, one LTC could cost around 700$

This is not surprising as Litcoin is a "major" currency and need really high volumes to get pumped as now.

what do you think 'Volume' represents?
it is simply showing how much an asset is being traded.

now what do you think can cause 'Volume' or how much it is being traded to go up?
it is simply changes in price! when bitcoin was stable around $2550 and creeping up towards $2600 slowly (a 1.9% rise) litecoin has been rising from $25-$30 to $50 (~60% rise) and when a big rise happens a lot of volume is changing hands hence the volume increase...

I am glad though! litecoin is one of the rare altcoins that deserves the rise.

Pumps can happen with low volume too, in fact happen all the times with crapcoins. High volumes during a rise are indicators of a solid grow, because an artificial growth would be too or more expensive.

But even without big pumps Litecoin is really close to Bitcoin, with 25.51% of 24 hours traded volume vs 29.15% of Bitcoin

This article kinda explains some of what is going on.

Other good news coming.

Lmao. Litecoin has done literally nothing ever except follow in bitcoins footsteps. It's just a copycat and only has low fees because no one uses it.

At 1/21th the market cap

 Shocked

Yeah I saw that and it's very noticeable this is the reason why I have to trade some of my coins for litecoin, this is a big week for litecoin I should have bought earlier, anyway there's still room to make a profit once it is listed litecoin will be on the moon.
