Out of curiosity, what exactly is Litecoin used for? I understand that Litecoin has fixed many of the problems Bitcoin has yet to (blocksize), but what use does it actually have? The only instances I have heard of Litecoin acceptance is in the gambling industry.
Used for? To make money that is. They fulfill what bitcoin lacks and the next best alternative there is. It's like Skrill for paypal (atleast that's my opinion).

The lower it goes the more I am accumulating. Actually even if it drops to $1 or under I would be fine, as I cannot help shake the feeling we have another pump before the block halving hits in late August.
I'm also waiting for LTC to hit $2 below before buying mega tons of it. I'm basing on ecoin.eu's chart. Do anyone here thinks that LTC will hit a low price mark soon before a big pump? Where do you base your speculations? TIA

i am pessimistc now, we can see a drop to 0.012 or 0.010 in the worst case.

Problem is the risk factor. It also has the potential to drop quite a bit after such a huge rise. I wanted to get back in but now Im rethinking things.
As it very well could go down more, the pull back we saw was much needed...nothing can go straight up forever, but it could start another slower move up from here.

It's really hard to know where Litecoin goes. up or down.

That article seems a little over the top on gloom and doom, consider this quote from the article:

Zoom your charts out a little fella, we are still up compared to even two weeks ago. Anyone who didn't expect it to go down after such a rapid rise shouldn't be trading. It will go up again, how fast who knows, it may even go down more, but its certainly no catastrophe.
I am not really hopeful after reading this.

One good indicator to me that the ride is not over yet is the fact that the volume has not dried out yet.. Still plenty of trades being made, the graph above might come true

Price in $ is not that important in the moment. The question is amount of LTC you can accumulate. Litecoin will be back at $8 easily.
Not neccesarily.. The drop in price may attract investors who missed out on the first increase and are ready to jump aboard now.

LTC is going to the moon! I expect it to hit at least $50!

because actually there are only plans from the NASA to get to mars. They where already on the moon(50$).
NASA is the main investor in Litecoin, so mars(150$) is the main Target

I think these wild price fluctuations are actually very bad for Litecoin. When it comes time for consumers to adopt an altcoin, price stability will be first and foremost on the list of desired traits. No one other than traders wants to be invested in a currency that is subject to such price manipulation.
