I'm contemplating an automated exchange and have one fundamental question. I see various exchanges using varying amount of confirms, bter uses 4, btc-e and clients use 6 confirms. Have people had experiences with the transaction getting lost with < 4 confirms? How big of a risk that is at all?

By the way guys this will have a cost for me because if for some reason I'm stolen and lose someone's money while it's being escrowed I'll have to put my own money. This is obviously very unlikely to happen but if it does the cost will be mine.

No offense but you joined this forum April 30th 2013 and posted 237 times already (little unsettling), including this exchange for which I thank you.
However, when it comes to money i would like a user with at least 1 year membership if I were to use him/her as escrow.

Cheers

PS STill buying looking for 10K Yac pm your price Smiley

Hi guys,

I've just read there were arguments regarding who's scammer and who's not and some wanted me to act as a "escrow service".

It's a pleasure for me to help as always but don't want to do it just for a tip. It has to be for a % that everyone agrees is a fair fee.

My ethics is very straight and as you could see earlier on this thread (and other threads too) a user from China have sent me 10,000 YACs by mistake (he wanted to send it to someone else) and I retruned it as soon as I checked it. I have to admit I got depressed when he claimed it because I thought it was some YAC millionaires that was annonymously tipping me haha Smiley But yes I have a very straight concept of making my money which is very far from taking what's not mine.

But again this will take me more time and carefulness and I don't want to do it for a tip (if I'm lucky). So we agree on reasonable terms and I'll be very happy to help whoever want to escrow and help YAC community to have a safer trading environment.

Thanks guys for the trust!

Peace please peace Smiley

I will buy 10,000 YAC's for 8 BTC.

All transaction details will be done in this thread, so you must be willing to do a public transaction.

1) You will confirm that I am ready to commence with transaction(s) - i.e. I am online and ready to monitor my wallet Wink

2) You will send 10,000 YAC's to my address within 20 minutes     Y9H3tANhMroxU4rCre4bkoeDRhHKRSGwsi

3) You will post your BTC address here

4) I will send you 8 BTC within 20 minutes or return 10,000 YAC's

5) I will send a YAC tip to OP.

6) If you don't like or agree with any of these conditions, sell to someone else Wink

EDIT - updated price.

I'm still looking for 10,000 YAC's.  We can do in increments if you want, but we'll have to compensate for BTC fees.

I'm willing to use escrow/ public trade. But I won't go first especially not in a ripple style transaction.

escrow? donjonson

Don't know him. Post some links, references.

The viability of donjohnson's thread would be enough for me. I would do increments with donjohnson as escrow.
0.8 BTC per 1000 YAC's    donjohnson would have to determine his cut. I'm signing off for a bit - let me know.

He created a google doc. Doesn't do much for me. He never handles money, so how is trust derived?

Donjohnson was accidently sent 10000 YAC and returned it to the sender if you want to check out pages 24-26 of this thread. If he wanted to take someones coins and run he had a pretty good chance and didn't. On the other hand he hasn't even said he'd be willing to do the escrow so you'd have to wait till he gets back.

Strange to see a Jr member defending some one in such a non newb thread ... just sayin,

Is it? I'm not exactly sure what you are 'just sayin'. Are you accusing me of liking Miami Vice?
