no the new shares are like the old, but Chris said something vague that they (all) will be transfereable into
a new product with multi-algo capabilities. No idea if this will be paid or for free, and if it will be tomorrow
or when the universe collapses.

Well, what he said was
"The new chip will be presented along with an offer to convert old shares (worst power consumption) to new shares (better power, multi coin but with an extra cost.)"
Which I would assume means that we'd be able to mine other Scrypt coins, not coins on other algorithms.
As for Vert, let's just hope he gives us some more information soon.

I'm also a bit speechless that Chris does now (more or less) actively promote his MODs, but
he doesn't care to explain
1. what will happen after the VTC-fork
2. what the purpose of these MODs shall be when all qASIC-shares can be changed into these
announced "new product"-shares capable of multi-algo mining

Are these new shares capable of mining multiple algorithms? I thought they were just able to mine different Scrypt coins, like whatever's most profitable on Clevermining.
I'm not sure about the VTC thing though. According to the Vertcoin developers timeline they're supposed release it to the mainnet in about three days, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. If I remember correctly though, somewhere Chris said that he should still be able to mine Vert on Lyra2.

Hmm, I don't know if I like Chris' new attitude. He used to deliver a solid product but keep silent for weeks and only implement
changes long after his self-set deadlines. Now every day a new promotional item, everyday a new temptation to spend coins.
I don't want to spread fud, but this doesn't add much trust to this already tense countdown to friday-payouts..

Then just wait till the end of the day when the payouts have happend? Maybe it is still in time for a last deal

My experience is, Chris (or his team) is quite reachable. Sure, if you just want to have a nice chat with him
that won't work.. But once I had an on-hold problem and I wrote him. He didn't care to reply
but he fixed it within a few hours.
