Has anyone entertained the idea that Chris has moved on to a new scam and that Scrypt.cc is actually him under a new alias? The ROI times seem similar to what LTCGear was claiming and they seem to be sucking in people using similar referral scams? 
I think Scrypt.cc have seen how many people have fallen for the ltcgear prices/returns, then offered it themselves. Highly doubt it's Chris.

The chance of us LTCGear users getting paid are about as good as Scrypt.CC not folding up anyday.

I don't think that has ever been claimed to that extent. That wouldn't have been possible at all very soon after the launch

Still no proof about that, there were few people claiming to have hundreds thousand or millions of share, I suppose they did a bulk buy during the crazy black friday discount, although there is no proof to that but it can be one of the assumption the fall of ltcgear is that he sold too much that he can pay for
The updates suppose to give some hopes to the believer , although some people got hyped about this, I wouldnt even touch it if someone give me his account for free, since I know it will useless and chris wont even pay a penny for the share
