Euro just ended and Portugal just won it, Congrats to all who participated on this Luckybit's competition. As I see there are only 18 valid entries on Portugal. If my math is not too bad so the biggest prize with x10 is around 0.19btc for those who sent the entry before June 10th.
Nice winning amount for just 0.0006/entry.

I've been processing the guess history so I can publish a nonofficial list of entries by team, and I have discovered a definitive instance of cheating.

I was very liberal with the rules. I said you could guess every team if you wanted to, just don't guess the same one twice. That was all - give everyone an equal chance. I even offered to refund mistake sends or large amounts that could be costly (nobody has taken me up on this offer yet). I really wanted this to be as easy and cheap as possible, with a chance for many people to win fairly.

I'm sure you can imagine my surprise and chagrin to discover a 100% positive identification of a cheater. This individual attempted to guess the same team multiple times with multiple addresses, which is the one and only thing in the rules that is clearly and explicitly prohibited. Rest assured those guesses will not count, and the amounts are not eligible for refund (as they're invalidated). You have wasted your money and my time and will not be receiving a share of any prize.

I will also no longer be publishing the list of entries. Winning results will be announced at the end of the Euro 2016. That is all. I will not reveal more information about this situation; if you are curious, the blockchain has all the data you could require.

I must say the full rules state everything pretty clearly. All I did was just read it. I am still not sure if many understands this is truly a 3BTC giveaway (just as in the title) and not a betting pool or something similar with a guaranteed prize. The only real cost is the tx fee.

It appears you're doing a better job of explaining things than I am. Is the address on your profile still good? You deserve a gold star.

If I understand correctly, there are no big and small shares. You need to make a transaction to the address for 1 share * your multiplier.

For winning team, if,
X sends 0.00006 at 10x
Y sends 0.001 at 10x
Z sends 0.0001 at 5x

and the total prize is say 10, X gets 4, Y gets 4, and Z gets 2.


To determine your share, divide your multiplier by the sum of all multipliers of the addresses that have participated in the team. (For X, 10/25 in the above example. Prize for X, 10/25 * 10 = 4)
