Depravity? It was no more depraved than your local boozeshop or Pharmacy. Lots of people saw it as a great libertarian experiment regardless of its ultimate fate. People should be allowed to buy or use whatever drugs they wish and some people see that as a fundamental human right and whether you like it or not and Silk Road and other darknet markets allowed that to happen for those people.

Agreed. Large swathes of the planet do not feel that way.

Why is no SilkRoad a good thing? You do realize that there's plenty more of darknet markets and when one gets taken down another just springs up to take its place? Besides, darknet markets are good for bitcoin as it gets money flowing in and out of bitcoin and coins moving around.

Silkroad was the posterboy for Bitcoin's perceived depravity. There are a ton of other markets out there and always will be but that's the one that people who want to hate it fixated on.

Re: Are you ready for the ride?

That's what she said  Grin.

I'm actually getting a positive vibe about bitcoin again. Just the general feeling and lower amount of doomsayers on the forum, coupled with a lot of good news.

yeah same here. so many good news, even big good news, no silkroad, no mtgox..next destination - moon

I guess you finally stopped posting 'bitcoin crashing to sub 100$' 'what do you think?' threads and bought in, finally.

Welcome.

Don't cross him off yet, he might have mood swings. Cheesy
If we go below $220 you can expect another wave of doom preachers.
haha, they will preach doom all the way up as well...it's all they know how to do.

We've been on the ride for a long time... Smiley

When I look out the window I don't see us connected to the tracks, we are on a run away train or maybe even a run away train. Will it get back on track to take us to the moon, who knows.. Here's to hoping it does,,

Great news, but not something that will trigger a small rally. More than a year ago we would have seen a 10% peak with this news.

When the rally comes it will be to late to board the train Smiley.

Perhaps this is the "it's coming" signal.

It depends on who you are reffering to regarding being to late to board the train. Smart traders have bought in way before now at lower price levels  Wink

At this point it's just a matter of relaxing and watching the price climb.

day after day such news appear with no effect on prices. Not even a $10 mini rally
When will the train leave station for good?

To me it's more like bending a bow. At some point you will not be able to bend it anymore and the arrow has to fly up in the sky.
It's just a matter of time until we will reach that point.

Yeah, just a matter of time.
Think of it like putting milk vessel on gas stove, till when will it remain in the vessel.
Time will come when it will start boiling and start going up.
Let the things get hotter for Bitcoins, it will surely shoot.

Let us wait and watch for the good to come.
I would just like to ask the OP that what did he actually mean by saying "Get on the train before it's too late"?
He wants us to buy Bitcoins or what?
If that's the case, then it is obvious that if people start buying coins, we would definitely see a rally on our own monies.

they will just update the price once per day. which isn't really something to be happy about. if there would be any reason for optimism we would have seen the price go up. which it didn't.
