Hello!
I'm a newbie here, so be gentle. So, I have question in regards to how meme coins works – how DO they work, guys? Is there are any ACTUAL value to them at all? Is it all about memes and whatever?

Here is some info about meme coin from https://memetic.ai/

"What is Memetic / PepeCoin?

Memetic is an open source peer to peer cryptocurrency also known as PepeCoin, launched in March 2016 and under continued development. PepeCoin was renamed to Memetic due to pressure from the ADL and "politically correct" exchanges, was renamed back to PepeCoin in March 2017 and now uses both names.

Memetic / PepeCoin is digital decentralized crypto-currency, a hybrid mix of several other cryptocurrency projects, plus a lot of custom code and goals. Memetic incorporates both blockchain 2.0 and blockchain 3.0 technologies and is under continued development."

Use cases

Memetic is a Proof of Work (POW) / Proof of Stake (POS) cryptocurrency fork of 6 different cryptocurrencies with many security additions. Memetic is decentralized, encrypted image storage in IPFS, cryptographically verified against the Memetic blockchain.

Memetic network is further secured with the addition of MasterToads, these nodes will also provide incentive for investors to hold Memetic long term.

Protect your memes and political information from censorship. Memetic will have the blockchain provide hash secured image & file storage with a decentralized moderation ability.

Hey Smutboy,

YES, definitely  Smiley Pool is running healthy 24/7 with no more problems. We have two constant workers and I would love to see some more hash power Grin
Please spread the word

Thats great to hear.  a pepe pool has been something that's been so hard for people to get running right. That its been hard to get anyone to mine to any of the others.

Hi everyone,

the pool is finally up and running + payouts are working.

http://pepe.mine.bz

The pool fee is 1.5%, you don't need an account. This is configuration for a D3 miner:

URL:             stratum+tcp://pepe.mine.bz:3032
Worker:        your wallet address
Password:     anything

You can PM me, if you have further questions.
Happy mining  Smiley

Alex is the pool running good enought yet. To start sending people there to mine pepe's

Thats kickass man..  I was just looking at the pool and see it even seems to be showing the found blocks from the pool.  Thats something all the past attempts for pepe pools had a hard time with.

Hey,

finally the pool is running and I'm able to find blocks, which are not rejected. But still the pool thinks they are: We thought a block was found but it was rejected by the daemon.
The blocks are not rejected, I do get the rewards. As long I'm the only miner, this is no problem, but for the payment to work, the pool has to recognize them as valid blocks...
It seems to be a problem with the correct blockhash. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thx in advance.

Ahhhh I just popped into the telegram and see you made it over there and making some progress on that bugger.  all the other pools people tried to run in the past all seemed to have the problem where it would not be reporting found blocks correctly and it would look like they were not finding any even when they were finding blocks.

If you dont have telegram chat to be able to go to the meme chat. Maybe I can pop in and see if someone can pop on here and see if they can help..   Tho I do know they are working on something pretty cool right now for meme and might be busy.

Hey Smutboy,

I used this pepe nomp github rep to set up my server Sad
I also checked some other nomp github reps, they all got this error:

Could not start pool, error with init RPC getblockchaininfo - {"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"}

Maybe you could contact pepeteam for me? Since I'm a newbie I'm not allowed to do that Sad

best way to get hold of anyone from the pepe team would be to go to the telegram chat here ---> https://t.me/pepecoins

Hey there,

I already tried that and can try again, but I think it's not gonna work...

I still hope, that someone of the devs will check in and send me a PM to sort this out.

It's strange to see Memetic (MEME) in the second place in https://masternodes.online/ in terms of total daily volume.
However, the price of Memetic has not witnessed any dramatic rises or falls.  Roll Eyes

We even made number 24 on the list of top gainers on coinmarketcap yesterday.

Thank you smutboy.
Unfortunately I knew that already and the yiimp guys are telling me the wallet daemon is suppose to sort this out. I don’t get it. I’ve tried to setup a nomp mining pool but the wallet daemon and the pool can’t talk to each other. This problem should be fixed: https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal/issues/588 but it isn’t. Right now I don’t see a way to get a pool up and running…

I went and searched back in the telegram chat and found these links from a few months ago. that pertains to the memecoin nomp and some of the configs..       Tho its all Swahili to me.

Tho I dont know much about running the nomp stuff. But I think there was an issue with others who didn't run the version of nomp that was compiled for memecoin. With out haveing to configure all sorts of stuff and to get the found blocks to report right.
