I dont use windows, but I do agree that gatra needs to get the windows wallet out very soon.  It should be a priority if he wants to keep this as a fair launch.

As for a pool, yes needed, no not coming soon.  This is a new PoW and building pool software for it is going to take time.  I'll talk to ypool and beeeer as they are pretty well versed in creating a pool interface for new PoW's

No kidding. I wish I'd kept my Linux partition around now. I could've been mining from the start.

Btw....for anyone who is getting an error like this:

Code:
g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus)
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See for instructions.
make: *** [obj/alert.o] Error 4

It is because of not enough ram.

You might want to try making a swapfile to make sure it does not run out of memory.

Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1024 count=512k
mkswap /swapfile
swapon /swapfile

The Fourth Generation of Blockchain in DeFi
seriously, an honest ETA on Windows wallet would be appreciated.  some of us have rather expensive VPS sitting here, eating money waiting to mine this thing.

thanks!
Don't get me wrong, but why do you use Windows on a VPS?! It's probably the reason the VPS is so expensive.  Grin
Also I recommend getting root servers, the VPS won't make you happy (unless it's really powerful). Hetzner.de is great for cheap rootservers (look at the server-exchange).

This coin is difficult to mine because people can only solomine now. Pool for primecoin, datacoin has proven to be very difficult to set up. Expect riecoin is the same. So although I hate solomining, somehow my client only accept 4 connections from other PCs, it is the only way to mine riecoin now.

Put this into your riecoin.conf

rpcthreads=10

Doesnt have to be 10, just >= the number of miners you have.

That's what I'm looking for. Thanks so much.  Grin

We should all leave a load of negative trade history for the guy that posted a virus in here. What a douche bag.

The Fourth Generation of Blockchain in DeFi
50 blocks in 10 minutes.  Wink
What? Either you're incredibly lucky, or you have cluster of about 3000 PC's ....
I mean the network generated 50 blocks in 10 minutes. Shouldn't take long untill we reach #576. (#365 now)
