Bitcointalk forum board you're to concentrate on depends on what you wish to learn about or where your interests of contribution lies. All the boards are important and also filled with contributions from top ranking members of the forum to help all.
There firum is big enough to accommodate anything we want to talk about without missing the track. Since there are different boards where we can write depending on what we intend to learn and give opinion about. It is very important for us to know that every board has there own contents and it will be off point for us to go write on a board that does not contain what we plan writing on or want to read. It is just like going to the trading section to gain some knowledge about what a newbies ought to know and other rules that will keep them safe here. It is very important for us to always write where it is pertaining to the kind of information we want to pass or get.

I'm beginning to understand the forum better by the day, but I'm still under a learning process, cause we learn everyday and I'm big on receiving advise from older members
I find it easier to post on gambling, economics, politics and several others, but I want to know which board to focus more on as a newbie, what's your say on this? I'm open to learning from your opinions.
When I was still new to the forum, I focus mostly on beginners and help because that’s the section which I believe that things will be broken down to my understanding, which really helped me a lot, but their are different sections on the forum here where you can learn about different things. You can even visit your local board to learn about thing’s happening in your local society, their are different sections here in the forum, and am sure that any of the section which you visit, you are going to learn from their. The forum is sub divided so that you can know the appropriate section to visit when you are having any information, but every section is very useful on the forum here.

because you are in a forum that basically discusses bitcoin then you should also focus on trying to make a post in the bitcoin section in the discussion, you can ask questions about anything there (as a newbie) while the other sections are where you express your opinion because it has nothing to do with whether you are a newbie or a senior in the gambling, economics and politics section.

Stupid question, every section on this forum are well labeled and anyone who can read will know where they are heading, if you are into Bitcoin then Bitcoin discussion is the right place, if you are into Bitcoin mining then the Bitcoin mining section is right for you,  it's same with altcoins and altcoins mining sections, there are gambling sections and reputation board too.

I found this question stupid because you knew that this topic you created is suited for beginners and help board, how did you know this? As you can see, you asked a stupid question, this forum is not confusing at all but you made it look that way.

At least you have places you find interesting to post and I believe you have so much ideas and contributions to add to those mentioned boards (that's was how I started). I'd advise you to continue posting on those boards but try as much as you can to involve yourself on other boards like Bitcoin Discussion, Meta etc because there would be a time that you have to involve yourself on those boards more than your preferred boards, when you keep doing that it won't be like a new thing to you.

~snip~ but I want to know which board to focus more on as a newbie, what's your say on this? I'm open to learning from your opinions.

I think local board is the right choice. I learned a lot at the local board, the members on the local board warmly welcome new members like me. It's the same on this board. In addition to the local board, Beginners & Help. Looks like we are one generation, have the same activities. Let's fight together to be consistent in this forum. I think besides learning the forum rules, what's more difficult is being consistent

This forum is very broad, you can post anywhere as long as you understand well what is discussed there. You have described one by one the Boards that have been involved in the discussion there during your journey on the forum so far, understand the forum better day by day the form of improvement process that you have gone through so far. It really depends on your goals and what you want to learn here, if you want to learn about Bitcoin, you can focus on the Bitcoin discussion board. Every Board in the forum has a lot of knowledge if you know how to take it, never be lazy to read to help you understand even more knowledge in the forum.

It depends on which section you want to focus on. Generally, this board, Beginners & Help is where newbies navigate as this board focuses on beginner querying and helping discussions. However, if you seek to explore thoroughly other sections such as Bitcoin, then you might want to check out the Bitcoin section. On the other hand, if you want to learn more about the forum, like its rules, then check out the Meta board.
I highly suggest you read first the Help menu which you can find here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help

Good luck!

all boards are good in my opinion whether it's for beginners or not, in the end it will all depend on individual interests and potential. knowing and exploring each board is recommended for beginners as apart from adding to reading material and knowledge it will broaden understanding of the forum.
once you have visited the various discussion boards you will understand for yourself which discussion boards you are more able to develop your potential to contribute actively and constructively to the forum.
In general, beginners will focus first on the Beginners and Help boards until they really understand how to work or the concepts in this forum, but what's more important is that every beginner has read and first understood the existing rules so that beginners don't do things to their own detriment by breaking the rules.

Beginners & Help is the best board for newbies, you can get good answers from the threads ask by other newbies. Then also you can ask any question which is related to crypto or any other forum related stuff.

Other than that its your choice on which board you want to focus since every forum member have their own niche or what board they like. For sure you discover this when you are consistent posting here since you will find those things more entertaining.

Also for now best to explore many threads so that you can accumulate more idea on what topics are been discussed by other users here.
OP can explore other boards like bitcoin discussion. But Beginners & help is the best board for newbies to learn, second Local board is best for learning about the forum and bitcoin and blockchain if the local board is rich enough with information.

Well if you are really a newbie then it's best to explore the community first. So I guess there's no such thing as newbie friendly board here. Everything is for everyone, be it a newbie or if you have been here in the community for so long.

So just read interesting topics or posts and understand it. Well that's good if you can post in the gambling board, because there are a lot of good topics if you are into sports and sports betting or any other games like slot machines, roulette, or poker.

Just continue to grow and learn in this community and don't violate any forum rules.

The forum alone has a lot of variety of topics, some may suit your interest and some may hard for you to understand. But if I were you, you don’t have to limit yourself to those who only make you interested to learn but also deal with those topics too that you feel you hardly understand. The more you don’t understand the topic, the more research you need to undergo. You need to be familiar on all topics in the forum, and not just on those few ones that are keeping your will and interest.

So what's the problem, then? I'm starting to think merit is the problem. Do you want to improve your rankings quickly but find that the boards you love aren't getting enough merit?
I understand you correctly?
At first I also thought that what's the purposes of asking this question because he could have been more specific like which board to post certain stuff or learn from but as you said he might be looking for some active boards where he can write more posts to get merits or come into notice but can't say for sure. But after your post I checked for his history and he need to work and mainly focus on learning which will help him in that way also.

Based on when I started on the forum, the Bitcoin discussion board was my favorite place because I really wanted to learn more about Bitcoin than anything else. My second favorite board was the Economic Board, and that's because I love anything investment-related and money management-related, and I am good at sharing my own experience and knowledge too. After that, the Beginers and Help Board is my favorite place to obtain new knowledge from others and also share in the experiences of newbies and other members. I am not very good at political stuff (not as if am bad either), so I don't do well on the board and a few other boards, but I mostly go in those boards to read very helpful threads about Bitcoin and other helpful stuffs. Boards like Wallet Software, Bitcoin Technical Support, Development and Technical Discussion. Those are boards that have some sort of very educational thread to help you on your bitcoin journey. Even if you cannot contribute to comments there, you can learn from what others are saying if you remain active on the very boards where you can make a healthy contribution.

Am sure you are going to learn from the forum here, just ask about what you dont understand and you will get your answer for free here, and also you can make meaning full contribution to other peoples post, but make sure you understand the forum rules and regulation so that you wont go against it. You can learn in any section of the forum, depending on what you want to learn about, if you go through the forum, you will see different sections and you will see that information's are being shared in every sections. The most interesting part is that the forum is having local boards which you can meet with people in your region, which you can communicate with them locally.

But as a beginner and you want to learn about basics of bitcoin, then i believe Beginners and Help is the best place which you are suppose to be visiting often, and if you cant really speak English fluently, then you can learn from your local board.

The forum is like a whole nation all by itself, with different sections for different interests and everyone having their own ideal location where they may freely engage. Because Bitcoin is so vast, it can be very challenging for some individuals to comprehend everything about it. Instead, you should focus on the aspects that most interest you. There are people who are overly interested in mining and the technical aspects of bitcoin and so they spend most of their time on those sections and also there are people who love gambling and most of their posts and discussions are about gambling.

You should spend the majority of your time as a newbie on discussion boards that will advance your understanding of bitcoin, such as beginners and help, development and technical discussions, and bitcoin discussions. You may expand your knowledge on these boards and learn more about how bitcoin works. Once you have a basic understanding of bitcoin, you can go on to other sections.

It totally depends on your desire.Because a person is more happy in the language that is his mother tongue So if there is a local board in his mother tongue then I think that board is suitable for him to become a new member. But it's also a very appropriate threat to the newbie members you posted on the board.
