Yeah.

Sure.

So a liquidator with liabilities up to its tits is going to send its coins to a far off land to a shaky exchange, destroy the price completely and then be told that they've been unverified or that the money has gone.

lol i suspect they wouldn't sell all at once as that would really limit the amount of funds they can get from liquidating.

Why would they sell through an exchange, anyway? If I'd wish to either sell or buy more than 10K, I'd do it OTC, F2F.

1. Sell at low point for past 5 months.

2. Sell all at once to $0.50

If they are going to liquidate it would be more likely that the Winklevoss twins buy Mt Gox assets for a few million (bargain bitcoins).
Bitcoins will go into the trust and bitcoin gets more scarse and price goes up and not down.

Why are you even posting that? If you think they are dumb enough to place a 200K market order, place your stink bid over BTC 10K@$0.5 and wait for it to fill.
few will surely do that to tryout there luck.. ! :p not at 0.5$ but maybe a lil higher as the news spreads everywhere..! that no one knows how true it is. I'll the news is totally absurd .

They do it already, slowly. I bet they sold most coins. Why should they drop 200k coins and sell them that cheap if they can do it slowly and get $500 per coin. That als may be the reason why we´re stuck at the 400-500 range...

The combined USD / BTC volume for the three main exchanges stand at 60,000 BTC / Day. If we add up the minor exchanges as well, the volume will go over BTC100,000. Also, there are other currency pairs as well... such as EUR / BTC, JPY / BTC, RUR / BTC, and most significantly the CNY / BTC. Does anyone know about the volumes of localbitcoins?

Bitstamp is not Bitcoin. The surge would be temporary, but no one would sell 200k on exchanges.

Don't rule it out.

Ridiculous. The market has no chance to get back at 0.50$ even with a huge dump like this.
