The best-case scenario for Manchester City has come true. Both of their rivals lost points in the same week, which is quite interesting and surprising. A very critical week for the Premier League has passed. Now the points ranking has changed and each team has to wait for each other to make mistakes. We can say that Manchester City was the luckiest team this week. Let's see if there will be a team that loses points in the coming weeks Smiley
Man City has been very lucky this week. Because of the 3 strong candidates in the race for the title this season, it turns out that only Man City managed to get full points. Meanwhile, Liverpool lost surprisingly to opponents who were weaker than them this season, namely Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, Arsenal's defeat was equally surprising. But considering that their opponents are Aston Villa, that can still be considered quite reasonable. The most surprising thing was that Crystal Palace managed to win over the home team, namely Liverpool, at Anfield Stadium.

Now Man City leads the standings with a difference of 2 points from Arsenal and Liverpool. And I think this will probably be the same as last season. When Man City managed to reach the top of the standings, it was very rare for Man City to relinquish that ranking.

Maybe I was too busy celebrating Eid so I just found out that Arsenal and Liverpool lost. Both lost at home. Even Liverpool had to lose to a lower ranked team. Of course this situation is very favorable for Man City, they can pass two teams at once to become number 1 in the meantime. This is quite interesting because we understand small mistakes at the end of this season are very detrimental. Is it possible that Asenal will fail again like last season after a long time at the top? I think it's very likely. Grin

You are right, Manchester City is the luckiest club this week, because they won and their 2 rival clubs had to suffer very disappointing defeats which occurred in front of their own supporters. Manchester City failed to win when they faced Arsenal and Liverpool at that time, but they were still able to excel because of the fact that they didn't have to beat the two clubs that were competing with them.

At the start, the bookies gave Manchester City a bigger chance of becoming champions and it looks like that will really happen. Of the 6 remaining matches, I don't see any club that is really strong enough to beat Manchester City, maybe Tottenham could be a stumbling block for them, but on paper Manchester City is better than Tottenham who is ranked 5th in the standings. Tottenham's advantage in this match is that they will play as hosts, but I don't think that will be a problem, because Manchester City will go all out.

It was a big disappointment to Liverpool and Arsenal to loss against their opponents in this period that is making people to look up to them like the teams that will take first and second position at the end of this tournament, but they lose points that made Manchester city to use two points to gap the two teams right now. Liverpool have the opportunity to use home advantage to win the match, but they allow crystal palace to used the 14 minutes in the first half to scored a sign goal, but Liverpool try their best to equalized the goal to draw the match 1-1, but crystal palace never allow Liverpool players to have access to their goalpost till the end of the match. If Arsenal can allow  Aston villa to defeated them 0-2 without allowed them to score a single goal from the match, I think Arsenal will still lose points in their next match, because they are still going to play with a strong team that will not give them opportunity to defeat them and it will make people to give up on Arsenal to win this premier league title.

There was never a doubt about Arsenal blowing up their opportunity in the premier league, it was just a matter of when it was going to happen. Frankly speaking I never thought it was going to be on the same day that Liverpool also lost to Crystal palace. It was just too easy for Manchester City to climb to the top of the table just like that. I was hoping this drama will linger to the final day of the season. Just like it happened when Manchester City won the league against Manchester United under Roberto Mancini. But it's quite disappointing to see it this way. But regardless all hope is not gone, as there are still 6 matches remaining anything can happen from now till end of the season.
Arsenal and Liverpool's performances were laughable. They missed their big chance yesterday. Because their opponent team was a very weak team but due to some negligence on their part they lost the match. Such a result may be difficult for everyone to accept, especially as Arsenal and Liverpool fans suffered so much from watching the game. Because these matches were too easy for them. But I am confused whether it is their failure or bad luck that they lost the match

Yeah, what a fantastic week for City and Pep Guardiola caused by this is unpredictable result and i strongly believe almost all of bettors were putting their bets for arsenal and liverpool since these clubs were facing home game but they are loosing at the same time which is surprising many people. City appears to have win the Premier League trophy again this season as long as it can keep winning the remaining game available till the end of season, of course arsenal and liverpool will be mocked by many fans again this time. It's amazing to see how situation has changed in such a short time and city leads the competition again after it was only sitting at the third place. I never expected Manchester City to move to first place so quickly to surpass arsenal and liverpool with two points gap. Liverpool and Arsenal are both frustrated with their results, as are their fans caused by the situation is even more difficult when city leads the competition by having greater score. It appeared to me that the city would win the trophy again this season. Things are going to be even tougher than I expected. Shit happens to Arsenal and Liverpool at the same time, and it's a great day for Manchester City. I have a feeling that people are becoming dissatisfied with Arsenal and Liverpool for winning the Premier League this season.
The recent results against Villa and Palace have demonstrated that weak clubs are not always weak, as they were able to defeat what many regarded as one of the best clubs in the PL this season. Things are changing so quickly, and Manchester City is likely to win the competition soon. It doesn't surprise me that the city has a stronger winning mentality than its competitors.

The title race surely is over as Manchester City has some easy games coming but boy were Liverpool and Arsenal disgusting to watch yesterday, you bet they were especially Arsenal which was even more ugly football on display while Aston Villa played much better than them and truly deserved the victory, imagine if you put in a parlay ticket both Palace and Villa that would be an over 100 winning odd for someone bold enough.

The question is, who is in this world willing or brave enough to bet on Palace and Villa in a parlay bet? Maybe betting on Villa only is still reasonable enough and I can even say that betting on Palace alone would have been done by those who like to bet on underdog and with small bet only. Anyway, the result of both Arsenal and Liverpool is a big advantage for City obviously. Now City is leading with 2 points and the remaining games of City can be said as easier than their 2 competitors. What City needs to do is to keep their consistency in all the remaining games, the only thing that may make them failed to lift the title is themselves now.

Yes, I think all the competition has ended, we might decide that Manchester city is the champion this season, having seen Liverpool and Arsenal lose very easy to their opponents yesterday which they should have won to secure back their positions in the table. All 3 teams have equal games played, City on the lead means not coming below because the only big match for them is playing Tottenham which they might win or draw. Football is yet unpredictable, some shifts might happen that may cause City the title, let's just sit and wait but quite obvious Manchester city are too strong headed to drop down their leading position.

Really unexpected first half came out with the advantage of Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace should have scored 2 goals, but in some fantastic podcast Robertson knocked the ball out of the gate and it's good that now there is technology fixing the ball crossing the goal line, because the referee on the line could have counted this goal.
Liverpool also had a chance to score and even hit the bar once, but in general it seems that Liverpool players do not really need a win in the EPL, because they play extremely relaxed.
It's true as you said, the results of this match really surprised many people and disappointed Liverpool supporters. Crystal Palace, which should have been easy to beat, actually made it difficult for Liverpool to win. Liverpool seemed to underestimate Crystal Palace so much that they didn't use a very strong strategy to win. facing Crystal Palace.

It can be seen that Liverpool have tried their best to try to give several kicks towards Crystal Palace's goal to try to penetrate the defense, but it was all in vain because not a single goal was scored.

Unfortunately Liverpool have missed the opportunity to get additional points on the standings. If Liverpool succeed in winning this match then they will be in first place in the Premier League standings and will still compete for the best position in first place between Manchester City and Arsenal.
Unfortunately for Liverpool and Arsenal fans, their teams have apparently decided to give this year's EPL win to Manchester City.
I have no other arguments in favor of Liverpool playing like that against Crystal Palace. Liverpool played poorly, relaxed, as if nothing depends on this match at all.

The most frustrating thing is that I guessed that Aston Villa will beat Arsenal, but I bet that both teams will score. Of course I expected Aston Villa to win, but I could not even imagine that Arsenal would not score.
If someone bet on Crystal Palace and Aston Villa to win, the odds would be over 100. And the fact that there were two wins for teams with odds over 10 I think is a rare phenomenon.

There are still 5 Matchdays and it would be too early to decide who will win the titel in england. Manchester City still have to play vs. Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, which are good teams. But Arsenal and Liverpool cleared the way on Matchday 33 and City took their chance. There are only 2 points, so it is exciting for the coming games. In the FA-Cup they have to play Chelsea this Saturday, that will also be a good game and in 2 days they have to play vs Real Madrid. The coming weeks will be the most important of the season and Manchester City are very strong at the moment. They havent lost any of their last 10 games and have won 7.

I said some time ago that of the three teams currently competing for the title, Manchester City is the team that looks better prepared to face any pressure, whether facing a strong team or facing a tight schedule and that has been proven.
If some time ago Pep Guardiola seemed to be complaining about the busy schedule his team had to go through before facing Real Madrid, and he managed to overcome situations that were not in his team's favor, while Arsenal and Liverpool were disappointing.
Liverpool was very bad because they suffered two consecutive defeats at Anfield in two different competitions, what was worse was that Crystal Palace was a team that had always had difficulty winning this season, and Liverpool even failed to get just one point, while Arsenal's defeat was no less surprising because they lost with a score of 0-2, and for Manchester City what their competitors experienced was an advantage they certainly never thought would happen.
Arsenal and Liverpool are very likely to fail this season, and Manchester City will become champions again.

Arsenal will not be able to win the title this season from what I watched, I don't know if the fault started from the changes but I don't think Arsenal can win anymore with such performance if only they continue like this. Liverpool also lost at Anfield surprising, I never expected the poor performance from both teams but the amazing part is how did Crystal Palace manage to defeat Liverpool, what will happen next or it's likely we might see Manchester city winning the title this season again.
I agree with this because actually Arsenal is beginning to look like they don't ha e the form to be able to maintain their position till the end of the season except if Manchester city loose and give them the opportunity to come and stay ahead of them on the league table again which is almost not possible.

Arsenal lost to Aston Villa right at the Emirates Stadium, this loss significantly reduced Arsenal's championship chances. Not only that, it will also affect the psychology of Arsenal players. They continued to make the same mistakes as last season. They could not learn valuable lessons. Man City will be crowned champions again if they win the last six matches. In theory, Arsenal's chances are not over yet.

But Arsenal's ability to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004, to me, the championship is already far away. The chance to win the championship is over. Certainly so. Because coach Pep Guardiola and his team have enough strength to win the remaining matches.
Well, it's really a shame that Arsenal had to lose to Aston villa the way they did yesterday, very shameful to say the least, I had really high hopes for Arsenal this season, but right now, seems to me they like they have lost all their chances, the Aston between them and Aston villa that happened yesterday I believe was a major test of their skill, to see if they truly are worthy and ready to be crowned the champions in this season, but unfortunately, they failed woefully, not only did Aston villa scored only 1 goal, which I believe many of the Arsenal fans would have considered as a mistake, but then, the Aston villa guys went ahead to score the second goal, which I would say confirmed their superiority over the Arsenal players in their yesterday's game.

Arsenal of course still have some games to play going forward, but their loss to Aston Villa have greatly reduced their chances of winning the title this season, the only way they can have a chance again after this loss is if for whatever reason, Manchester city lost or draw most of the games they still will play upfront, Liverpool also does the same thing, Arsenal manages to win all their upfront games, then, we can say that Arsenal may win the title, but right now, I have lost hope in Arsenal, but then, let's see what happens going forward.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I think the title race is over, with the mistakes made by Liverpool and Arsenal, City is the team is likely to be able to win the remaining matches. This is not to underestimate the teams that City will face, but of all the remaining teams, City is the most favored. City no longer have big teams to face in the EPL match remaining, this is making them have a better chance to win till the last games of the season. Liverpool and Arsenal, who are always fighting for 1st position, now seem to have to give that position to City until the end of the season.

And the next question is, who will be in first position until the end?
Who will be the best run?
Manchester City?
Arsenal?
Liverpool?
This may (probably) change again.
Obviously Manchester City, both Arsenal and Liverpool lost their consistency.

Manchester City once again have a big chance to win treble this season, they're currently in the top position on Premier League, semi final on FA Cup and quarter final on Champions League. Even Manchester City had a tighter schedule than Arsenal and Liverpool, but most of their players have a good quality.

Yesterday Manchester City beat Luton and took the lead. The excitement in the Premier League will continue with today's matches between Liverpool vs Crystal Palace and Arsenal vs Aston Villa. Liverpool drew with Manchester United last week. I think it is normal for them to lose points in this kind of matches. This result should be acceptable for them. But they definitely need to win today's game. On the other hand, Crystal Palace have not won in their last 5 matches. They are just above the relegation zone. But they are close to the danger zone. I don't think they can give Liverpool a hard time in this match. Liverpool will win today.
Liverpool and Arsenal disappointed again and as usual Guardiola’s Manchester City take charge of the league once again and I don’t think they will be dropping points like others anytime soon. Manchester City totally destroyed Luton town just as a title challenging team is supposed to be, a title challenging team should be ruthless and clinical and this is what Manchester City showed against Luton now they are 2 points ahead.

Liverpool disappointed me the most for losing to Crystal Palace at Anfield, they are making is easy for Manchester City. I don’t know what happened to Liverpool in the past weeks but they seem to have lost their spirit and Draw against Manchester United started it all for them then they went on to lose to Atlanta in the Europa League and now they lose to bottom table Crystal Palace. I know teams battling relegation are difficult to face at this ending stage but i expected better from Liverpool that claim they are the favorites to win both the Premier League and the Europa League.

Arsenal had a more strong team to face this week but there is no excuse to start losing after going so far and winning tougher teams in the past. I think Arsenal fans deserve better because their hopes are always raised high making them believe they will win the title soon enough but in the end the team fails to achieve anything leaving the fans disappointed. Arsenal didn’t play well against Aston Villa in my opinion especially in the second half they couldn’t create chances they were only keeping possession at the back and so Villa who are good at counters showed them how it’s done, the most disappointing part is that Arsenal lost at the Emirates Stadium when they needed the points the most.

Liverpool's match was defeated by Crystal Palace, of course it was very surprising and in fact it was difficult to believe that Liverpool lose to Crystal Palace.

Even though M. Salah played, strangely he wasn't able to score even one goal and I'm sure many Liverpool fans be disappointed, and Arsenal fans also be disappointed.

Yes, Manchester City is certainly lucky at the moment and it seems like there is potential that Arsenal will fail to win a trophy this season like last season and if for example Arsenal fail again, it would be a shame, but there is still hope for Arsenal and Liverpool to beat Manchester City, but it looks like it will be difficult for Manchester city to drop in ranking.

I feel pain for arsenal and Liverpool fan because these team and one of the best yet they stand to disprove their reputation by the performance they put in during the end of the season. Currently, it's obvious Manchester City would loss any match and they have taken the EPL title ones again, it would have been better if Liverpool or arsenal took that title this season to prove that the premier league is a very competitive league. My greatest surprise is that, Manchester City are not in their best form, unlike the previous season where they just a few loses and kept a good form with more goals. I thought the reason Liverpool loss to atalanta at their champions league competition was because they did not start Salah on time but, from what happened in the EPL yesterday, it's obvious their form has reduced.

Previously, Arteta was Pep assistant coach at Manchester City and in 2019 that job ended which made Arteta looked at by Arsenal as head coach and it can be seen that in the few seasons Arteta has been Arsenal coach, has he won the League title?
I don't know what you are using to be able to say all this but what is clear is that as long as Arteta was coach there was only one chance to win the title and that happened last season, Arsenal failed to win the title because Manchester City managed to surpass them and in the end Arsenal were runner-up.
And I want to ask when Arsenal managed to win the League title as you have said, we discussed winning the Premier League title and as long as I followed the development of the Premier League, I never saw Arsenal becoming champions under Arteta.
In fact, for the last 9 seasons Arsenal have not been able to win the Premier League title but they have been runners-up twice, and this season they have the opportunity to win the title but it is not guaranteed.
In addition this discussions about Arsenal achievements under coach Arteta, so if it is related to the past there is no need to talk about it, but I agree that in the future perhaps Arteta can make Arsenal perform optimally with the young players he has.
Are we now judging Arsenal because they weren’t able to win the league last season. Well we know the team is just and still young and they’re building up and you can say same for the coach. Yes the coach has been under the tutelage of Pep and i think that’s not enough reason for you to judge them with their performance last season.

With Arteta they’ve had some major achievements like winning the FA Cup and this is one that the players look and take as a boost. This season they’re a very quality team as you can see them in top contest with City and Liverpool for the league and you can also see how much goals the team has been able to score and add to their tally this season.

The team is young and they’re quite organized and have all opportunities to go for both Epl and Ucl titles. The team just needs to remain organized and winning titles will sure be a normal thing and seen as a usual for the team. The future is bright for this team and you can say they’ve been able to build a very good project with this young squad they’re having at the moment. Arteta has very confidence in his team and I know the board has same confidence in him also and he’ll sure win titles with these boys.
