The owners of 1000Burst asset at Nxt Asset Exchange - please withdraw your BURST coins from Burst gateway with 5% interest (5% more BURST coins).

Just transfer your 1000BURST assets (not less than 1 asset) to the issuing account (NXT-VVTV-U25N-U2FY-2V35H) and in the attached message place your BURST address (in alpha-numeric format, like BURST-MCHC-LBKK-ZLZY-C3XL5).

Concerning uray's v2 pool http://burst-pool2.cryptoport.io

What does the Balance column refer to when you look at your stats at his pool? My thought was that was your Burstcoin Balance before it is sent out to your wallet. I am hoping I am wrong because I keep getting a balance and then it disappears with no Burstcoin sent.

I am having some reservations about these pools, the Burst calculator says I should be making 5000 a day but I rarely make 1000. I am mining with 14 TB but it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Thanks in advance.

The thread slowly turning better until your message came up (mining question)

and I did something wrong? If this is not the proper place would you be so kind as to point me to the proper place?

Dear dcct,

I plot on 2 servers, and both servers create the same name of plot file. If both servers have them same plot file name, will the pool support this.

Best Rgrds,

Dear all

Code:
./plot -k -s 100000 -n 500G -m 10G -t 3

is different from account id, right?  If it is, how can I get my public key in my burst wallet.

Thanks and Rgrds

Public key is your numeric account ID

I haven't been in this thread too much but isn't Burst the closest thing to a decentralized ebay anybody's got working so far? The escrow features could help with that. I suppose you could use the "Digital Goods" in NXT but they are still working on their MRKT place or whatever.

Also this mining could appeal to libertarians. Russia is banning bitcoin and apparently PRESENTING INFORMATION ABOUT BITCOIN, the bitlicense, unclear Canadian regulations, the empires are striking back. I'm not libertarian but I was still quite pissed when Ebay wouldn't let me buy ASICs because of the country I'm from. I mean, there's got to be a backlash from anybody who likes freedom if the government starts demanding fingerprints to buy hard drives or something.

Simply, I think Burst is just not that well known yet and we could do better at selling it.

Good point!

I think we should try and spark a community driven marketing campaign. How much would it cost to get a Press Release out and spread it like wildfire over Twitter etc?

A press thing atm would kill burst. It is still too hard to start mining. Too much crazy development going on. Just be patient. Wait till burst is just an amazing currency, then the investors will come. But on the other hand, without more miners the distribution is not going well...

Yes, there are only something like 3000 wallets that have burst in them, that's not a lot, and averages way below $100 in burst each. Just wait, burst will be big. No need to even think about price. Just don't buy when it's high. That's all the thinking about price you need to do.

Looks like the next rise may be coming - up to 156 on c-cex now with huge support on Bittrex. Big holders no longer content to sell for these prices and therefore price has to go up.

Buy, mine and hold - you will not regret it.

So far I don't, bought @140, not a lot, but enough.

Smart man. We who buy, mine and hold will be the whales come December when everyone starts buying up coins left right and center.

500,000 or 1 Million Burst may not be much now - but wait till the coin passes 1000 Sat, and then 2000, then 3000 - then you will know what it feels like to be the one with the power to move markets as opposed to trying to ride the waves of others Tongue

My next payday I will buy another BTC (hopefully its still low) and that will go straight into bolstering the buy walls. I suggest others do the same. Very unlikely for anyone to dump more that 50K at these prices so its about as safe as buy walls can get and worst comes to worst you end up with a big bag of BURST at a rock bottom price.

I wasn't talking a mill of 500k...i was talking 200k...Sad I'm really new to crypto

Still going to be worth a fortune when it cracks 2 and 3000 Satoshi man. Just hold em! This thing will do a Blackcoin at some point before Christmas - expect 20 or 30x higher price than we have now. Sure it will be largely controlled by the pumpers (they have had their eye on this thing for a while now, silently accumulating) but you will profit with them.

Its the ones buying at 1500 and above that will be taking the risk - we have it made in the shade Smiley

Crappy time lately for crypto in general. We we're singing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBwS66EBUcY .

Then the OverStock CEO showed. I don't know how he's going to get the regulators to let him start a revolution in finance, but if anybody will do it he will.

Hey, obviously we all want burst to grow, and $1/1burst would be really nice Wink. Unfortunately that would mean a $1 tx fee....that's no good, and we don't want to go on a hard fork later on. Can we not then change the code, so that at say, block 200,000 the tx fee goes to 0.1burst, and then at block 500,000 it drops to 0.01 burst. It could drop more later as well. Could this work?

java today seems to be secure but java is responsible for 91% of all security attacks (stated by cisco http://www.eweek.com/security/java-primary-cause-of-91-percent-of-attacks-cisco.html).

It's obvious from the page you linked that the vast majority of those attacks were due to execution of untrusted code via a browser, not really applicable to BURST or NXT's usage.

i know it is complex to design and code a library which "speaks burst" because many java dependencies and object methods do not exist or cannot simply be ported.
however, only if the java dependency for burst is removed burst can grow really big.
i dont want to say it cannot grow because of java but it can grow really huge without it.
if there is a 0-day java exploit some day (which happens almost annually) the whole burst ecosystem could collapse due to java.
depending on the integration and dependencies in c there is also a risk involved but this is much smaller than offering an attacker the largest plattform (java) which exists as target.

Until some reasonable and articulable problem with the java implementation develops, rewriting just to have it in a more investor-appealing programming language sounds like a massive waste of effort which could go (and is going) to developing features which will actually make BURST useful.
