depending on what you are going to do, if in terms of video editing and the like I think it's better to choose a macbook but if you use it only for browsing and light use better use windows.

I havent used a mcbook before because Im a windows fanatic from the beginning I already tried windows on laptop, desktops installing different cryptocurrency wallets from bitcoin core to the newest digital wallet I have and still working fine no problems encountered like in terms of security, malware etc my own advise if you are using windows to avoid downloading of malicious software that may steal your private keys always install wallet that can be downloaded only from the official sites thats all.

I want to get a macbook as well. I have been using Windows for a while but the security is much less than that of APPLE MACS, so am hoping that one day when I can afford it I will buy one apple 27 IMAC desktop for my home and an IMAC air for travelling around but who knows, I need a ton of money to get these lovely gadgets for both crypto work and play. Every time we go to these computer places with my DAD AND HUBBY, I always look at the 27 inch IMAC and dream of owning it one day.  Grin

I also really hope to be as you say. for now I also still raise money to be able to make me do my activities anywhere. hopefully a goal like you say can be achieved.

I also used Windows 7 laptop. But i had to change it to macbook. And now I really satisfied with it. I don't have any problems with wallets and security on my activity on the cryptomarket.

Hi everyone,

I must changing from laptop and actually i use a Windows HP laptop. Now we know all, security is a big issue in crypto. And off course the change to have a virus or malware is much lower with a mac. So i thinking to taking a MacBook in place a Windows laptop. But there are to points i esitate:

- Is it eassy to switch between a Windows pc a going to a MacBook?
- Are all the applications and wallet released at the same time then for Windows? When i looked for the RPX presale, the wallet to use with Neocoins, get released much soner then for mac. I even think it was a issue to get a macwallet that can be used for the RPX presale.

So is it worth to make to step the change and to go to a macbook? Please dont aswer with your personal feeling (because everybody has a preference..), but with your technical advice, and specialy when you do cryptoinvestment and use wallets and whant to use applications.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Macbook is best in terms of security but many softwares will only supports windows than macbook amd updates are less in macbook than windows. So you can buy windows and keep high quality anti virus will give full security than macbook.
But the important thing you need to know is that you have to store your private keys in pendrive because if we store it in oursystem itslef then the chance of getting hacked is more even in mac or windows.

Both operating system are ok! But of a particular interest is macbook to crypto users! Mac seem to be stronger security wise compare to window. You rarely see or  hear about Mac been hacked. Microsoft on the other hand is full of many complaint.

Having owned a macbook myself, I can testify that the device still works great even after a year of using it. As for wallet releases and application updates, Macs tend to receive updates later than its Windows counterpart, but in terms of security, hands down for the mac especially if you don't commit common, unlooked errors when browsing the web. In terms of transferring the privkeys, there wouldn't be any problem at all since backups made on a windows machine can be recovered by macs most of the time.
