Well, i think magic is what science cannot explain in that moment. Eventually science will understand how it happens and turn it into science.

Time is on our side, yes it is!
We know very little about the universe.  Just seems to be a whole bunch of speculating in my opinion.

Let me rephrase that:  I think magic is meant to be stuff that seems to defy science or physical laws, but it's just illusion and slight of hand.  Grin
But what about that unexplained 'magic'; wouldn't you call things that science can't explain right now magic?

Why dont you use google, research it, there is also machines now that let us go camoflouge, This would have been magical back in the stone age all way to the iron age.
+1
Magic is the word we give to things we can't understand in the present. Even to the bests scientists of the middle-ages, our current civilization would definitely look like divine magic.

Most of Magic exists because science.
This doesn't even make sense. It wouldn't be Magic then.

Haha yeah. I think magic is meant to be stuff that defies science or physical laws, but it's just illusion and slight of hand. Good magic should have you completely baffled by how it was done, and whilst there is always an explanation, I don't think it has to be specifically 'scientific'.

if it can happen, then doesn't that mean it's part of the physical laws? it's more about our understanding of physical laws in relation to what can happen.

I believe magic is like science we do not yet understand
"Measure what is measurable, and make measurable what is not so" - Galileo Galilei
And I agree, what is still mysteries to us can all be explained using science, we just haven't learned how to do so yet!

I'm going to fall back on my default definition again folks: magic is things that are scientifically impossible, occurring. I don't believe I have ever seen any hard evidence of such a thing occurring. If it did, and someone could figure out and conclusively prove how it was accomplished, then it would become science.

I disagree, while I understand where you are coming from and it is in a way true, the thing is you are taking it from a western view on Magic/Alchemy. Magic has different interpretation and types according to different civilizations/regions/religions/.... and there are some type of magic or sorcery that are really incompatible with science or the way we define something scientific no matter how bizzare it is (Quantum mechanics principals are magical in a way when you compare to them to classical physics but while the principals are bizarre scientifically speaking it is pure science as the principals can be explained by math, experiment after experiment prove that those principal works and there is a continuity with previous studies ...)

Go ahead and show me how you walk on the waters or change water in wine.  Grin

I bet it's some kind of illysion or else.

If you're referring to the Bible then... no comments.

Hey, in things like Star Trek there was stuff like the communicator in a shape of a cellphone, and we had it.
So are you expecting me that in the future there is no such thing as walking on the waters?

Something less obvious than this
