If you receive anonymous parcels often enough it is worthwhile using a forwarding service like https://mail-ghost.com/pricing/

There are lots of forwarding services available. I don't live in either of the countries that mail ghost services and use a different forwarding service myself.

That is an interesting service indeed. Do they offer that in the USA?

There are a huge amount of services like that offered in the USA. Some fully anonymous and some pseudo anonymous.

Quite a few of them like mail ghost also have bitcoin payment facilities.

Some will scan mail for you so you can read it online.

The main reason I use forwarding is because it gives me access to US products and the overseas shipping is quite reasonable. They repackage it for me as well if the packaging is not great.

I’d also like to know the regulated US options. I’m frequently asked to serve as a middleman for physical goods deliveries, but don’t want to handle other people’s physical property without being insured to do so. It would be great if there was a reputable business filling this need.

I actually just got a PO Box last week and I definitely don’t remember any options of writing down other aliases to use for the box. I remember that the form (I actually think it was 1093) had space where you could write down a list of people who you are authorizing to come pick up stuff from your box... maybe I could’ve written down “phishead” on that, but I would never have thought that would’ve worked since I’m providing other personal documents like my passport and lease statement to prove identity and place of residence.

My question is, if you’ve already signed and paid for your PO Box, is there a way to edit in your alias possibly? Or would you have to wait until your contract ends and you apply again?

I have had a PO box for over 10 years...and did not know that option existed until they todl me. It was just a simple form really not the one applying for new or renewal po box.

I got a box at a UPS Store.  They said I can have packages sent to the box # without my name.  They also said that there is a law prohibiting them from giving out my personal info to anyone without my written consent.  (I actually had to sign a form acknowledging this law.)   This of course isn't fool-proof, but it's probably good for small-time buyers like me Smiley

Glad to hear that. Its worth every penny

There is the option of having the mail sent to a friend's address who is less reluctant to divulge such information. From there you could simply go and pick it up, that way, both your name and address and kept away from the bitcointalk boogeymen 😊

I'm not sure if ALL USPS PO's allow a secondary name since I had tried to use my forum name and it got rejected (RTS).  From what I've read for my local PO, I could use a registered business name that I own, although I didn't see anything that would allow me to use my user name and PO mailing details.  Some PO's are different and allow aliases, not mine but aliases are allowed for home mailing addresses from my experience as well.

I agree with Krog's issues with Registered tracking, very odd how sometimes it seems like it's on time but it's actually delayed and no employee can find where it is.   Huh

Digi....ask them for a form to add another name to the PO BOX.  Thats all I had to do. They made me aware of it when i experimented withva diff name and the mail was returned. When i asked them why returned they said you need to fill out a form. Bingo!

Is it Form 1093? That's the one that requires any other names to have valid id's - at least in my state. .... Sad

No..that form is to apply for a po box. I dont recall the forms name as they just handed it to me ..i filled out right there and then and signed. Then all they told me was another name will be added to my box. That simple. Ask them to add another name and see what they say.  And no didn't have to show my forum name on an ID.

Pretty sure they'll hand me a paper 1093 - they already told me no aliases or fake names would not work, but I'll give it a try and let you all know

Thanks for the great help everyone!!   Grin   I figured people here would have had some experience with this...  my wife thinks I'm super paranoid LOL.  I tell her that my level of paranoia is the bare minimum for crypto...

You aren’t paranoid. There are members here that have used personal information to extort and harass users of these forums. You are very justified in your thinking.
Definitely can confirm this!!
