I kinda see news, articles, social media posts and things like that in a daily basis, talking about how Bitcoin is going to scam or runaway with people's money and associate it with some bad news to make it look like Bitcoin has something to do with it lol.
Well, articles like these aren't always bad anyway. We need it sometimes so Bitcoin price will drop and eventually make our way in purchasing at a cheaper range.
Nothing much to worry about it though, Bitcoin survived such discrimination, fake news, and all negative stuff since day 1.

The "average Joe", who isn't tech savvy usually thinks that Bitcoin/crypto is a scam. He doesn't know anything about Bitcoin Core/blockchain technology, but he knows it's a scam because he saw in the news that "X amount of people lost their money because of Bitcoin/Crypto scam."
Do you think that the mainstream media are going to waste time and resources into educating the "average Joe" about what Bitcoin actually is? Hell no. The mainstream media is going to keep repeating the good old "Bitcoin/crypto is bad" narrative forever. Bad news is news, good news isn't news. Grin

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
New? I don't think so.
They've been doing this for a long time already. If they aren't saying positive things about it, they are saying negative things. It's either they will say things that aren't helpful towards Bitcoin at all or they will tell negative things towards it.

Manipulation. Money. That's how most of the media is right now. They're being manipulated. I just don't want to say names or organizations, but you knew it already who they are. We who know what's happening to Bitcoin are just ignoring what the media are saying towards cryptocurrency. They can say anything that they want, but they can't brainwash us people who know more than the media when it comes to crypto.

The problem might be those newbies and the ones who are thinking of investing into crypto as they might have doubts in their mind whether they will invest into crypto or not.

Look like mainstream media trying to put fear in people mind and they trying to give fearful statements about crypto even when it is not related to crypto and bitcoin.

See this example, The Winklevoss twins are in a big mess—and it has to do with crypto

This has nothing to do with crypto and they are trying to project that this bad may affect the bitcoin prices.

This things indicates that prices are being suppressed because of these news and they will blast very soon. Get in the train before its too late.
It's too bad as I wasn't able to read the whole article in the link provided due to the fact that it requires a monthly subscription and I'm not ready for that now. But from what I could understand is that these twins are said to be in a mess caused as a result of crypto, because who knows if they might have invested in a shitcoin and it later got dumped, just as in the case of "luna terra", because in such case, they are liable to be held responsible for not making due research before investing. Because it would have been lots better had they invested in Bitcoin to be precise.

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss has a history of blaming everything on somebody else, they previously claimed that they created Facebook and that their idea was stolen.  Roll Eyes

Now, they are lashing out against Barry Silbert and the Securities and Exchange Commission for all the trouble they have. Unfortunately the twins are playing into the hand of the paid mainstream media, by doing this... because these vultures are hungry for Crypto drama and they will jump on the opportunity to make a fuss about anything that can have a negative impact on Crypto currencies.  Roll Eyes

I can't read the article, because you have to pay for a subscription in order to read full content, but most news portals are always trying to defame bitcoin somehow always they have the opportunity of doing so. But to say the truth, this time they must have brought good luck to bitcoin, because as soon as the article was published, bitcoin started recovering its price 2 days after.

Please, Fortune, post more articles claiming how celebrities are in a big mess due to crypto, we would like to see bitcoin hiting 30,000$ this month yet. Cheesy
At this point it is pretty safe to assume this is never going to change, the mainstream media is always going to write articles about how bitcoin is a scam or how anyone that invest in it does not really know what they are doing, but regardless of what they publish bitcoin remains strong, and if anything their attempts to spread lies do nothing more but to raise the awareness among people that may have never heard of bitcoin before, and this is a good thing for us.

it's not strange anymore, news makers are used to that, but what I don't understand is that they really don't like bitcoin or just want to get news that can be hotly discussed.
the point is don't get carried away by the flow of news whose sources are unclear, because they are all in business.
It's better to do your own research, than to read such obscure news.

Nothing's new, glad that some platforms are just neutral than to just be against it. Well actually, this industry has a bad image already for years or eversince I guess because of its volatile market value. To some this is a scam, fraud and other words which resembles that people should not engage in this technology. But no one is forced to do so; this technology are only for those who are interested and those who has knowldge of it. Engaging without knowing a thing will just contribute to cases wherein their expectations are not met. What I mean by common expectation is that, this indistry is believed to generate profit easily which is never true. Well, I hope things would be better in the future for this indistry. FUDs will always be a part of the 'game'.

It is not a surprise anymore.  Mainstream media had been FUD'ing the Bitcoin industry for as long as I remember.  whenever the Bitcoin market has a positive trend, mainstream media always there to be a hindrance of the Bitcoin market uptrend by exaggerating things and making bad news related to cryptocurrency even though it isn't related at all.  The main stream media's wickedness to destroy markets had been known for so long so it wouldn't be a surprise if the main stream media started to bombard the Bitcoin economy with lots of bad news and exaggerated negative stuff to FUD the Bitcoin market.

I watch the news but I don’t believe a word they say, it’s all propaganda to keep the masses in control. See how hard they are blowing up the FTX scandal, they want to make the disgraced SBF the face of crypto. I believe that which I can see in my immediate environment. This article is a lazy attempt to spread FUD, there are people who wouldn’t read the contents and just assume from the headlines that crypto is a mess.

Who controls the mainstream media? Mostly the government or individuals that have very close ties with the government. You can't expect less in their efforts to defame bitcoins and endorse their controlled CBDC. There are just a few media houses that give trustworthy reports these days and unfortunately most of them are not so popular and do not have as much influence as the other media houses that have strong affiliations to the government and are under their control and influence. Their plans will fail in a long run.

That isn't brand new. Ever since that bitcoin and its market has been established, countless times FUD were made and even if the actual news doesn't have something to do with it, they're making their articles relevant.

But as we know when these FUDs are made, I guess that we're seeing the sign that the bull run is soon to come.

It's more worrying when they start to praise the market as the opposite of it might occur. Just always remember that.

yea its nothing new, for my whole Bitcoin life I have been hearing negativity from
the media.

I know the Winklevoss twins but I dont follow them, and I'm certainly not going
to pay to find out what shitcoins they were involved in to cause their trouble.

The way I read that headline is that if it was Bitcoin which caused their trouble the
headline would read that way but it doesnt.

I see that the bad news is much better than the good news because it is a sign that the bear market is over and more low prices are an opportunity for you to buy more before Bitcoin moves to rise again.

Therefore, I will be happy with all this FUD, unless this FUD carries false news or misleading articles. As for biased articles, this is the nature of the central media.
Why do they do this? I am not a fan of conspiracy theories, but I think they know little about Bitcoin and digital currencies, because ignorance is what drives them to write such articles.

I keep telling you guys: it's okay.

We're happy when Superbowl's flashing around all the big bucks on big stars talking up crypto, when we see crypto ads on Wall Street, Times Square, right? And most of the time, none of it has anything to do with crypto (most ads aren't even allowing you to own any coins or interact with blockchains, for example).

Might as well allow the FUD to keep squeezing out the fear.

Sometimes we don't need to bother with all the negative information like that, it will only make our mental health worse.
For people who already know and understand cryptocurrencies, they may not really pay attention to the negative views that arise from that information.
But for people who don't know or don't even know cryptocurrencies, it can exacerbate and add a negative view of cryptocurrencies.
We know that in this world not everyone is able to properly and correctly sort out and digest all the news that is informed.

From the various information reported by all current information media, be it online media or physical media such as newspapers.
Sometimes it seems to me that all the information media is really like a "double-edged sword" trope.
I mean all topics of information that are reported can raise the positive value of the topic or can even bring down it with a negative view of the topic of the news.

I was wondering why most of that article was behind a pay wall but its probabky because they don't have any good articles to put behind one... Their subscriptions also sound like a precursor to them becoming an mlm (pyramid or ponzi scheme) or something too (something crypto seems to be rid of for the most part).

Most articles that mention bitcoin are just tagged to get higher viewership (even good newspapers are normally mostly talking about web3 coins or exchanges/companies in crypto).

I agree with what you said, most information media is sometimes only concerned with getting a large audience.
By trying to take advantage of something that gets the attention of many people like crypto and Bitcoin.
But not really that concerned with what the content of their articles.

All major media houses are run by big corporations and these big corporations are run by bank's money. So it's no wonder that they will try to defame crypto market. We are seeing such attacks since a long time now. So those who are familiar with cryptocurrency in general, they know how to ignore such things. The challenge is with the new people who have not been exposed to cryptocurrency.

But the only silver lining is that their impacts are temporary and the market is slowly gaining immunity against such defaming attempts.

This type of news should means nothing to old crypto investors because we've seen this too many times in the past years, honestly, I have grown too tired of bad news about crypto because it's a buying tool for the manipulators, this is nothing more than pure price manipulation, only crypto newbies should be disturbed by such news.

The Italian scientist Galileo Galilei said 385 years ago that the Earth revolved around the Sun. He was put to death because his ideas were considered wrong by the church. this situation is no different today, no matter how much you do the right thing, as long as these truths are against the interests of some people, they will continue to denigrate it. something inevitable is only delayed, but one day it will definitely happen

I thought the  The Winklevoss twins were old news now they claim to have invented and been the 1st to everything. They might have been telling the truth about Facebook but them being involved in bitcoin is no more news worthy then your average joe. The news are still using their name to try and increase clicks but as you say this has nothing to do with btc and should be ignored and not clicked on so that these news people do not continue posting these types of stories with clickbait titles.
