Why are US citizens not allowed to participate in the ICO? Does it come under a profit based token which can be screwed by SEC?
Just saw that now on their site,5015 ETH raised.Congrats to the team.
This is just to ensure that HERO is not taking any responsibilities which could appear with US law. Technically you can buy them if you are US citizen but since you have to confirm a checkbox that you are not a US citizen it is your responsibility if you break the law.

Congratulations! 5000ETH is already a lot. I think they will raise a punch of ETH at the end of the ICO. Currently there are hard times for ICOs, because alts are bleeding...

Hero is used to payment, what is its difference or advantages compared with OMG, tenx? You know there are too many pay coins now. Is it just to mainly serve people in Asia?
It is not a payment token! HERO creates a betting ecosystem focusing first on the own platform (herosphere.gg) and providing an API for easy implementation of HERO for 3rd parties at a later stage.

As already mentioned above there is a second project with the same name. They also claimed to use the same ticker name for the Token.
To avoid mixing up those two Tokens, HERO decided to rename the Token from HERO to PLAY. The company, however, is still named HERO.
HEROcoin (which use PLAY) creates a betting ecosystem, implemented first on their own platform - herosphere.gg -and provides an API to 3rd parties who are interested to join the ecosystem (basically every betting provider can use the HERO ecosystem and with it PLAY). It is based in Vienna, Austria.
Hero Token - is the second project, using Hero as ticker name and is a financial project based in Asia. They are in no way related to each other.
Unfortunately, this whole thing is a little bit confusing since they appeared at a similar point in time.
I hope I could clear things up a little bit.

What is everyone's thought on Herocoin?
It is a good project because it's a legal project. They did their regulatory homework and they're good to go.
