The JSON is no where near correct.  What is going on?

Yep, something's definitely up.  The JSON stats have reset 3 or 4 times in the last hour.

Question:

Whats wrong with your stats? Do you fake stats or do you just have a JSON/site issue?

Website: Current Round:  06h 33m 03s

JSON: {"round_duration":"00:00:32:08","round_shares":"76959"

 Huh Huh Huh

Our e-mail service provider thought we were spamming when we sent out several thousand e-mail addresses notifying users that their miners were idle.  This has resulted in every e-mail being filtered.  We're talking with our hosting provider right now to get them to unban our server and allow the e-mails to continue.

I have it set up to, but didn't get any e-mails when the pool went down and my miner was idle during the DoS attacks in the past 12 hours. Shouldn't I still have gotten an e-mail?

Edit: Now I just got my first idle notification timestamped at a minute past noon, after I'd already restarted my connection at 12:03 pm. Craziness.

Feature request: e-mail notification when miner efficiency drops below a certain value.  The reason for this is because I've twice had what is either phoenix or my card crap out on me, where the miner would continue to receive shares from BitcoinPool, but not solve them.  When this happens, my efficiency dropped pretty quickly, and I had to reboot my machine to get things back on track.  The faster I could get notified to do this, the better it would be for myself, as well as the pool.

You can set an email to be sent out based on the MH/s the pool sees. If you get your efficiency problem, your card may have a high hash rate but the pool will see a low one due to the low number of solved shares.

Already doing it. Smiley

didn't Google first host their servers in a garage?

Strong recommendation to avoid this pool.  The operators are rude, childish and extremely unprofessional.  Search their previous posts and see for yourself, many examples of swearing and unprofessional conduct.  Avoid!

You must be Mormon for fucks sake.  Roll Eyes

The operators proved that efficiency matters now the most popular miners are efficient and now EVERYONE benifits from it. stop your whining!

It's a free pool, what are you giving away for free?

It's a home operation, not a "real pool" in a data center.

However it's good variety when the bigger ones are down.

Wtf is a "real pool" then?Huh You have no idea what you're talking about....

Enterprise class servers on a dedicated business class fiber line, multiple UPS's, on multiple circuits for redundancy. In 42U racks in a secure location guarded by sharks with lasers and armed security. (I may have exaggerated with the sharks, but the rest is true.) Cool

What you may not realize is that lots of business start at home and expand from there. Many benefits with having hardware in the home compared to trusting someone else in a datacenter that may not be secure. I.E other hosts in same datacenter may not be secure and then the ability to compromise their systems and then eventually others. There are pro's and con's to each, but you may want to rethink what you said.

Plus you don't have to wait for techs to fulfill a ticket to work on your servers if something happens. You can walk out to your servers and fix it yourself.

Just a tech question guys, how much bandwidth do you actually use for pool operation right now (at ~250 GH/s and ~600 users-miners)?

To make things clear, I want to run a pool for Bitcoiners in my country (which seem to be very few at the moment) to promote BTC use, something that we will need very soon around here. I got some servers sitting idle at the moment, and I wonder what kind of line I should get.

I would appreciate any reply.

Keep up the good work.

After researching all the available options, I decided to go with your pool.  Proud to support your homegrown operation.  Rest assured that your sleepless nights are helping out cool people.

those servers look expensive. How did you pay for them?

We got them on an economic downturn discount from a very lovely company that used to produce facebook games.
