Sigh.

And the humor is over.

Just kidding. Props to the thread owner, and Vod and Austin. Everything worked out great... Well, not for the scammer. Not really.

this thread is growing. look guys did you really think i would not have paid....

I apologize for even appearing to doubt you.

It was just odd how you didn't pay right away, got tricked by some scammers the second time, and wanted to do routine things by private message.  That kind of behavior gave fuel to the folks that thought you may be trolling or pulling a fast one.

I sincerely wish you the best!

this thread is growing. look guys did you really think i would not have paid. i wouldn't sent anything to the scammer if it were like that.

its a very stupid way to get scammed, but i was wired into the rise happening on shibe and i sold some to send to vod and austin asap. is it not possible to prevent anyone using a apostrophe in their username.

id lock this thread but im enjoying reading it. il keep it open, i won't be offering a bounty for the new scam, as too small amount. im happy with my 15.5btc profit,

thanks for your help with recovering the 4.5btc

@shadowhax good luck on your pursuit. But now its not your pursuit alone, many people got scammed by that fucking bastard. Even though I cant help you but if you get that bastard fuck him like no one fucked anyone ever. He's really an asshole. Angry Angry Angry

Yes, he is. He has no actual skill. In a way I can respect hacker and people who pull of great bitcoin heist. They has skills. They find backdoor and network vulnerability few ever dream of. This guy just phish and scam and target newbies. He think he safe, probably over in Estonia like I suspects. But no matter who he is or where he is, he is NOT safe.  Smiley

I think I may have past experience with same scammer on IRC...

Maybe two year ago I get scammed. Let my guard down and lose large amount of money to scammer who impersonate trusted user with ` character. Week later, he scam another person for 20,00+ BTC in same Bitcoin IRC. We examine Tor exit nodes and notice similar suspicious activity for several account.

Friend of mine send me information few days and say he notice similar network activity for user by name of "alexfun". I look into this person and network activity and find connections from mobile device coming from Estonia. I talk to him on alt accounts and be friendly with him. Linguistic pattern match Estonian native according to friend of mine. He also mention Estonia and websites from Estonia and Lithuania.

I eventually stop because I found new job and had to relocate and give more time to working. But perhaps I can resume pursuit once again. I would love to find the bastard. I have special plan for if the day I ever meet him face to face.  Grin

This could be same person or copycat phishing attack. Not sure. But perhaps this information is start to finding one scammer or even more.

I can hunt down and destroy them with enough time and resource...

It appears that the user AcoinL.L.C has fallen for the same scam as bitcoinwonders. He sent 1 btc to 1LtwXgFmFPtoA7zH8SLoqC1Q3Ut2baF7xU which belongs to "digicoins`".

They are apparently watching the forum and targeting users with these phishing PMs. Everyone, watch out for this scammer and double check that you are dealing with the correct user.

And yeah both the address are of the same scammer. The same guy created both the scam accounts and earned 0.9998 BTC out of it. Haha. A lucky scammer.
