I don't think he realizes there are trading fees and withdrawal fees and deposit fees.
trading fees of even .2% would more then wipe out his profits.

There is a big risk when trading with IBC company and 700000 its a big amount.. i dont think that there is anybody who use so much money for trading BTC between exchanges there are a better trading and investing oportunities for 700000...

The outstanding swap on bitfinex is around 30M right now.

Can't believe there are that many people that put so much trust with the exchange.
There is likely a lot more on deposits on other bigger exchanges like btce

This is not deposits total. This is just the active swaps! The deposits are likely in the 100+M range.

invest 700000 on bitfinex get 7000$ intrest per week.

And what is the risk for putting 700k into a BVI registered company?

Well it sure is lower than the added ROI. Atleast in my opinion and in the rest of the 30,000,000 USD that are deposited there in swaps.

First of all, what I proposed was NOT trading but using the swap system. Second, sure there is a substantial amount of risk, so is everywhere else, but still the ROI compensates for that risk more than it should be in my opinion.

Just curious what recourse users have in the event that they turn "gox".

In the event I would write-off my investment. The rest would be handled by the insolvency process.

Ummm... In order to make $7k/week from arbitraging on a $1 difference, you would have to be trading a volume of 7k BTC per week. And then you have to take into account the 1.5% fee that most exchanges charge. So in essence, arbitraging for a dollar would be losing you money. Way to go OP. You turned 2 million dollars into 1 million. That's what I'd call success.
This is a huge trading volume. It would work out to be a large portion of overall trading and would be unlikely that it could be pulled off

Yes arbitrage strategy is possible in bitcoin exchanes and you can make more than 7000$ depend on how many exchanges you use(there are alot out there) and how much money you can invest!I am using thise system in a lot of markets and i am very pleased. Also you dont have to pay for it its free alll over in google just search..

Example:

What you can do is to have 5.000$ etc and 8 bitcoins etc on exchange A and the same amount on exchange B and when there is different price (odds, buy&sell)between exchanges you take the oportunity and buy and sell at the same time with no risk this system is sureprofit.

I don't thunk bitfinex pays 1 percent per week. Their rates are closer to 6 percent per year e

they do pay that for USD. for BTC you are right

This thread is created on April.

How is the strategy working out so far?

Still has time to log in. No doubt his method is possible, I know plenty of people who buy low on on site and sell high on another but they're not rich. They make a little extra change and that's about it. Problem is when you get into high volumes of trading that's when regulations kick in.

And what about risk holding 10 BTC for $10 and then seeing BTC price dropping $20. Bam $200.
