If you have a starting capital of $100,000 in BTC, you should do fine, but you need to be smart about it all!!!  If you are looking for some investment strategies and such, please PM me.  I do not make a living on here, but everything I have on here is because I have earned it online.  I did not invest nothing into it at all.
Oh my dear god, if I had that amount of money there's no way in hell I'd be trading altcoins.  For one thing, the markets are generally too thin to do any trading with size.  And the other thing, most importantly, volatility is waaaay too high for me.  You can easily lose 90% of your stake within seconds if the coin is shitty enough--and most of them are.

Trading stocks, bonds, pork bellies, and shitcoins is super risky.  Even experienced traders have trouble making a living at it.  Try it OP, get back to us.

I wouldn't trade low volume alt coins. I usually like the BTC/USD more

With $100,000 as balance for trading purposes you can definitely make a living with that much money. If I had that amount to trade with, I would just need to gain 3% every month, which equals $3000 in profits. But I don't know how your style of living is when it comes to expenses etc. Maybe you need at least $5,000-$10,000 every month. For experienced traders even that is a more than acceptable/achievable monthly profit target.

Hi!

What do you people think about making a living by trading BTC/USD or BTC with other ALT Coins?

Do you think it's possible to make a living with an excellent starting capital? ($100k ~)

I am looking to get at least $5000 per month profit with this capital

Can we have this kind of income as a "sustainable income."

Is anyone making a living trading? What kind of strategy do you like more.

Generally it is advisable to have 1-2 years income in your bank as a "nest egg" in case trading doesn't work out.  You can have sustainable profit on $100k capital if you exercise proper risk management.   Source: I trade full time.

I think yes you can make profit as consistent from trading, but You need system of trading or trading plan to do it. And you need more time too. You can read reference about it on google or you buy book who talking about trading. Good luck

i think that it is possible to earn for a living with starting capital as this, as if you are good trader you know when to buy or sell you you should make lots of money for a living with capital like this

but of course if altcoins you want to buy price will fall down after you buy, you probably won't get any profit or even you will lose your money, so it is about altcoins price too

So let me get this right, You make a profit of over 200k yet you default on a btc loan and got red trusted for it? Something here doesnt quite add up. A loan of only 0.1btc at that.

1) Account you see is a demo, just for test my strategy (but is over 2 month opened)
2) On real account in 2015 i made an average profit of 0.05% daily (400% in one year) but trade with low risk
3) Default loan is not mine, this is a bought account  Tongue
So how you do that can you share your methods publicly so that we an try it if this is true.. you are making fast profit in few days. .but very hard to know if how you do that..

I simply increase my loss risk to 50-60% . Trade on Cable, Eur\usd and USD\JPY. With brexit help all was really easy. Take a look. Now i go to open a new position....

I think it depends in your skills honestly trading is not easy to do but you can make profit fast and low risk but the problem its hard to choose what altcoin is the best to choose.. better to always relay in martketcap and choose top 20 altcoins there.. and i think this one of the tip that you can start and relaying in the marketcap so that you are far in shitscoins.

You need to have a huge amount of bitcoin that you're trading to make a living at it.  You also have to be very good at timing the ups and downs of the bitcoin market.

What would you say a huge amount is to make a living?

You don't necessarily need a *huge* amount, although having a large initial capital will allow you to take low-risk investments/trades and still profit a respectable amount from it. Amounts that you should be looking for varies on what your style of trading is; are you a risky player, or a low-risk, low-reward kind of guy?

Also, I'm not sure if you are comfortable and have experience in trading, but if you're not, I would recommend for you to take a small amount of money and start getting yourself familiar with it; that way, you can learn from your mistakes and not lose much at all.

TL;DR: amount varies on how you trade, and best of luck with trades. Smiley

Hey there, to be honest, my plan is to move to a low-cost of living country and make around 10k per month to spend + more to add to my capital. 20k would be ideal, but that is 25% on my capital which I'm not sure its possible so probably a 10% monthly would be a better aim.

I would like to have mid-risk trades and low-risk trades. My starting capital could be 100k or a little bit more depending on potential. Do you think it's possible to make that amount per month with that money?
In a really low cost country, you wouldn't even need 10k each month, so it would be wiser to just re-invest that profit or invest into something more long term...

I dont even know where you would need to earn 10k a month to live comfortable unless you were wanting to live somewhere like london or newyork. Id be more than delighted if i could even make 2k a month from trading, I could quit the day job and move into full time bitcoin but thats not going to happen anytime soon.

yes some people could make living with their trading activity and seems your basic capital looks very huge for me but very difficult to get stable income in trading because not all day you will earn profit and even for traders expert also have experienced to loss but if you have good knowledge to predictions the prices may be you could reach your profit target but in trading huge capital money doesn't guarantee will earn huge profit too

Living by trading is possible but going all in one asset is really risky. So is important to diversy your portfolio (read someting about Modigliane & Miller). Yes, 100k should be good , but need to be split in not less than 20-30 different asset, on 4-5 different markets.

Hi!
What do you people think about making a living by trading BTC/USD or BTC with other ALT Coins?

it is a very risky thing to do, so I don't think I would ever do it for a living. but it is definitely a possible thing and there are people who are doing it right now and are successful in it.

both markets are good, you can predict btc/usd market better but the changes are smaller.
on the other hand predicting altcoin markets is a bit harder but because of big changes you can make so much more money.

it is possible to earn that much but it will require that much more work and stress. because it is risky you will have to endure a lot of stress with each swing and the bigger the capital the bigger the pressure is going to be.

I am making money with trading but since I don't like the risk, I am not committed to it with big money. but the earning is good.
