Bitcoin correction could well come, personally i do think that one day or another we will see a pretty major correction, but it won't break the $2000 floor.

a price correction doesn't wait around for a couple of months before happening! it happens as soon as possible, when price is high. and it actually happened when price was $2980 and it fell in a couple of steps and down to as low as $2100 and this wild correction is now over.

now it is time for consolidation. and anyone who is waiting for a new correction or calls bitcoin a bubble and things like that, are not familiar with anything.

Watch what happens when a know it all puts their hat into the ring.
It will revert back to where it was less then two years ago back at $650-700 per coin.
This is what happens when you try and wrangle in a wild horse like bitcoin has always been.
You get the rear end of the horse straight to your face. No matter how smart and tech savvy you think you are.
Bitcoin prefers to stay wild and free and not tried to be cornered in the market amoing all the others.

What a fuckwad. He's "calling" for a big bitcoin correction - based on what, his few months looking at crypto and his mad skilz at crypto speculation?
Guess what dumbass, the fact douchebag billionaires like you are finally talking about bitcoin is why it isn't dumping anytime soon.

Bitcoin correction could well come, personally i do think that one day or another we will see a pretty major correction, but it won't break the $2000 floor. However what disturbs me is that he's trying to sell the idea of a bitcoin collapse to people that don't know about bitcoin, spread FUD about bitcoin by using his publicity and thousands of twitter followers. He obviously is quite a progressive guy so not sure why he hates bitcoin so much.

And he seems to have changed his mind about cryptos after all? He is investing in an ICO IIRC, not sure which project though. Why would be invest in an altcoin, when he hates bitcoin?

Don't trust anyone that changes their mind, tells one thing and does another either... Lol.

the only thing you need to know about articles like this is:
why would someone give advice like this?

it is clearly for his own benefit. you should always look past the obvious words and see what is behind them. when someone is taking out his profit to invest in another shitcoin to earn more, obviously he would advertise the shit out of that shitcoin to earn even more. it is just advertisement.

any idiot knows bitcoin is what everyone comes back to. and ever since the bubble of altcoins popped all the money is coming back to bitcoin. apart from a couple that weren't in a bubble and now are getting into in.

and you know, articles like these are more like a gamble. we all know there is chance of Aug 1 drama causing some drop and also we all know there is chance of Aug 1 leading to a bigger rise.
so you flip a coin and write an article. if it comes true you are going to say "i told you so, i am good at this, blah blah"! and if it doesn't come true, you just simply say "bitcoin is unpredictable"!

It's possible but i don't think that he is looking at it rationally.

As others have stated, he seems to be interested in ICOs and think that altcoins will overtake bitcoin in the long run. In my opinion this can't be farther from the truth, as altcoins are for-profit companies that need to provide good results for their angel investors and their founders.

I'm going to use a slightly older pic but here:

And that's when bitcoin dominance was still above 50%! Now it's only 40% ish. It's either that bitcoin is going to go up, altcoins stabilize/go down or bitcoin and altcoins both go down but altcoins go down especially fast. Either way, Mark is wrong in his prediction.

what these sort of people dont understand is that the btc isnt just used as speculation to buy and sell fiat, altho its very nature makes it ideal for that. the exchanges dont control its value, they reflect it. its different for the altcoins altho some of them have value because they are easy to mine

Nothing really cares. There are other influential and big names in the world of cryptocurrency. Who is Cuban anyway in the world like that? He doesn't even able to create a FUD or panic with just his words.

Better he focused on rebuilding his Mavericks roster as he is the one to blame why their championship lineup destroyed.

Lol.  What a troll.  He says one thing and does another thing.  And that 'other thing' will be an even bigger bubble, playing on the ignorance and the emotions of the stupid in the cryptocurrency community.  This space has gone to sh*t.  I wonder which ones will be left after the mania has gone.

If you're looking at this from an idealistic point of view then yes, Mark Cuban is  making a mistake backing ICOs.

But looking at this as a businessman, at a time when people are crazily throwing money at ICOs - he's very smart. Yeah, whatever ICO he backs might disappear in 3-4 years time .. by that time - Mark Cuban probably would've profited already and won't care - he'll probably be in some other business earning more money.

This was how he got rich, getting a business for low and selling it high.

I guess I'm too lazy to google him but nevertheless I don't care what others say or think about Bitcoin, all I care is the current price and the future price.
Nothing else matters that much. for a week now price is some how stable which is a good sign if you ask me, maybe he's mad because he can't simply earn profit by usual pumps and dumps?

That guy pretty much hates bitcoin but seems to think that new coins distributed in the form of ICOs is the future of cryptocurrencies. He even invested in one himself or at least have announced a plan to do so. I don't know his reasoning behind this but he is DEAD WRONG.

If bitcoin does not take off then no other altcoin will. Because bitcoin is the face of cryptocurrencies, and the most decentralized out of all the cryptocurrencies. All the other altcoins have some sort of founder that is actively controlling everything but bitcoin's founder have left long ago.

It's at his loss though, i don't know why he would be so stupid yet have billions of dollars and several successful businesses.

I think that Mark Cuban's case is an interesting one. He thinks that bitcoin is going to crash to the floor but he apparently believes in blockchain technology and he's looking to invest in one of the ICOs coming up very soon if i'm not mistaken.

Now Mark Cuban is probably one of the most accredited and ingenius marketers and investors out there. He has a lot of success with entrepreneurship but i think he is wrong is this matter. Bitcoin is the father of decentralized ledgers., i.e. the blockchain. I don't get why he thinks that for-profit altcoins are better than bitcoin. Sure, they might offer better functionality but you can't beat the real thing. Altcoins are good for making a short term profit but isn't sustainable in the long run, whilst bitcoin is all about the long run and being a store of value. He said that bitcoin price was going to burst out of the bubble as well, but it hasn't evidently. I'm sorry Mr Cuban, you're dead wrong.

Mark Cuban is the typical investor who didn't see Bitcoin's potential long ago, thinks he somehow missed getting in early, and now wants to look at some shit ICO that he can corner like 80% of the 'tokens' market (so if it supposedly soars, he wins big).

An arrogant and stupid attitude from a typical Narcissist investor. I'd wager that whatever shitcoin ICO he puts money into will be a faded memory 3 years from now, meanwhile Bitcoin will still be thriving and at another 3X or 4X by then.

He doesn't get it, Bitcoin is not like some new fintech company that you can become a ground floor investor in only to sell it off when it 'IPOs'. It's like internet Gold 2.0, and it's for everyone now, and into the future.
