I think I found a campaign too when I was looking for merit abusers on one of my thread: Clearly merit farming/trading is happening.

Would you care for the campaign information?  @hilariousetc

@hilariousetc: I am trying to get your attention again... since you are a DT member (if I am not wrong)

I have tagged all of these user with redTrust please see their trust pages. I also left enough evidence to hold my ground. These users are heavily involved with merit abusing.

All connected to this thread [ANN][XAS] Asch | Decentralized Application Platform Based on Side-chain . So, I suspect something wrong with this thread too.

For any other information to open up the scam I am willing to spend my time. just ask me.

Thanks

merit farms.that is something else,i know i am new here, but it will be a good idea if i know how to get merits for my account.what are merits farm and how do they really work.how can i get some merits

You need to read this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177

In a nutshall merit was introduced on Jan 25th with having the motive to save the forum from spamming with low quality posts like  "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE" etc

You can also consider reading the unofficial list of BitcoinTalk org rules from here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

Hope this help.

PS: Do not misuse merits or you will be tagged with Red Trust which is not good for your account.

Not sure if you meant these lot but don't waste your time leaving them negative as they're banned.
Oh, even better. Yes, I meant those. Thanks.

I also found russian farmer

Handled. I ask you again to include the rating that needs to be posted (in the format that I requested) at the end of each post in which you make a connection.

Good work. Tagging all of these will take some time though.

Wow, you deserve a lot of merit for this bit of research! If only this Merit system could be improved to make people actually contribute quality content and not what is happening now with it, no wonder some members are considering removing it.

It worries me that this is the scale and length that people are willing to go to in order to just simply spam any forum and abuse it like this. Some might have assumed that this was the case already, but after reading something like this :

They all belong to a farmer who has been farming hundreds if not thousands of accounts using bots in the Chinese section for years. There's probably some I've missed if anyone want to check but don't bother tagging them because they're all banned.

It gives me a sour feeling knowing that it probably isn't even a dent or a significant amount of abusers. Good work for sure, but it's unfortunate that it's going to take a lot more work like this before any real change occurs.

At least the merit system makes this that much easier to track and resolve; was this one of the intended consequences of the merit system to begin with?

Fucking great work..

the merit system showing some more awesome benefits

It's inevitable. Account farmers are suddenly left with dozens if not hundreds of accounts that are useless without merit so it's gonna be too hard for them to resist giving it to each other and once they do the patterns in their farming become easier to spot. It's funny how many farmers are getting caught after they complain about merit:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.30769477

And just found another: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.30835228

I enjoyed reading both of those threads and laughed a few times.

this is making me chuckle.. fuck it - have some merit, I know you don't need it but that work is well worth it.

maybe some of the newbies should try to get onto your level.. with the right skill set its a great way to add value to the community and earn merit

So I randomly stumbled upon these two posts and wasn't sure why they'd been merited for such poor quality but quickly uncovered a little merit ring that quickly turned into a huge rabbit merit hole.

It's a bit messy but if you go to the bottom you can see all the accounts in question and they've all left merit to each other in some capacity.

Bitcoin does not make the bank disappear, but it may exist as a new payment medium.

Merited by wolf one (2)

I think 100 years from now there should be a lot of people who know bitcoin, when Bitcoin will exist as a global payment method.

Merited by okchain (2), frery (1), yuyuchain (1)

But looking into wolf one he sent merit to these two which are obviously alts:

I've organised them by registration date but as you can see there are many other similarities as there's lost of 'coin's' and 'chains' in their names and most of them are all on the same crapcoin campaign Tubi. I then noticed the campaign was run by adsadsx which fits the pattern of the above as he sent merit to bunsd and casdder and his registration date fits:

They all belong to a farmer who has been farming hundreds if not thousands of accounts using bots in the Chinese section for years. There's probably some I've missed if anyone want to check but don't bother tagging them because they're all banned.
