Visa is the same. I think these platforms understood that the future would be the age of Blokchain and the crypto money. Investments are increasing day by day. However, financial markets, in particular, will have to adapt to the blockchain.

It might be a good news since they are involving blockchain on their technology and it will be a surprise that if one day they will be develop their own kind of currency. Mastercard is a big company and that news is top-notch I guess.

Mastercard which is known around the world is investing into blockchain, has a great possibility that it will collaborate with cryptocurrency because blockchain technology , is been used by many ICOs and other cryptorelated project, so if mastercard will get into crypto then that will be a anothet leap for cryptocurrency world and blockchain technology.

That is a good one there and a step in the right direction from MasterCard developers, because with adoption of blockchain it will give room for more transactions to be made using MasterCard which will at the end result into great income for the company, in fact this will make MasterCard to become the primary card being use for cryptocurrency transactions and you know the world is gradually getting to a point where cryptocurrency will become the dominant currency.

No debts if this goes pass, it will even help the credit card generally. Also, it will create additional patronage to bitcoin.
If the news is reliable, then it is very good. Recently I read that even Elon Musk would like to introde the crypto to buy a Tesla.
All this makes us think of a wonderful future, and people should not be afraid to invest in crypto-currencies

Really? Are you posting this just to increase your post counts?
Mastercard is investing in the blockchain technology only to implement a higher level of security to it's own cards and transactions. They don't want to adopt any cryptocurrencies.Telsa is a big overhyped bubble and it's about to bankrupt soon.I don't want them to get involved into the crypto world.

Certainly, they probably don't want to get behind with the technology as it really gives a better services that is already been proven since it was created (blockchain). Knowing that it keeps on making progress, the attention of some well-known fin-tech is on to this. Hopefully, they can see the brighter side and understand more about the advantage of it.

If the news is reliable then it is very good. But honestly speaking, everything looks very suspicious, since a month ago I read news that Visa and Mastercard payment systems do not support the cryptocurrency market and do not intend to develop in this area.

They are not trying to develop cryptocurrencies per se but rather just the blockchain technology. It's quite common nowadays for financial institutions to tap on the power of blockchain, seeing that its use cases on their services would greatly speed up transactions and possibly improve security on their end. They're not the ones who wanted to employ such technology on their services as there are countless others waiting in queue for R&D about blockchain to put up significant results for their intended use cases.

Still though they are not running from the idea of using the blockchain technology as opposed of just denying it as as they see it as being beneficial to their transactions it is just a matter of time before they tap into the potential of cryptocurrencies and if in the future they intend to integrate it investors might get into it.

Visa's CEO actually very recently said that they would be willing to get in the middle of cryptocurrency payments should the demand be large enough. There's really no ideological reason for them not wanting to be involved in crypto, they simply just don't think they can make money off it yet. Nothing they decide on this issue will be set in stone.

But yeah, try Googling banks and blockchain and read up on the subject. They have quite the love affair. One thing that must be stressed is that blockchains aren't necessarily related to cryptocurrencies.

If that news it true I think is a good news as many project now using Mastercard to their project in crypto maybe it will be big help for every one of us. And it's a nice step for Mastercard that they joined in blockchain.
How can we know that this news is valid or true? Is there any proof about this news? Actually i want only trust something that is announced by the actual team itself.
Well, i can see that many things on masterecard project can be improved with blockchain technology tho.

if i look at news side that has a good effect on bitcoin. with the news, it gives a good effect regardless of whether or not the news is true. but indeed i hope that the news is true, so that it has a real effect

I'm waiting for the day that one of the current financial institutions will compete with Ripple in offering blockchain and database solutions. It boggles my mind that Ripple has managed to gain this much ground.

How much effort is there needed to just fork them and do the exact same thing? It's common within crypto itself, but apparently a whole lot harder to do outside the crypto world.....

Overall, it doesn't surprise me at all that more players are digging into the blockchain industry, especially when you take into consideration that the hype around blockchain technology is still going strong despite crypto being a bad performer.

I was developing a project to help identify users behind an e-wallet (with user's approval), thus making the Blockchain a more safe environment and enable governments and banks to accept it as a standard.
Problem is that a month later I started my project, Master Card already applied for a patent for exactly the same thing! Anyway, I wish good luck to Master Card Smiley
