We already have this feature with limited usage. Go to search message and check box of first two options. You will get all the message with the same subject and view all of them in one page. You can reply individually, but no bulk message. And the option to delete is not available there.

You can also create a bookmark for frequently used filters so that you don't have to re-enter it every time:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=search2;subject_only=1;show_complete=1;search=test

(replace "test" with what you're searching for)

The recipient would request participants to send PMs using a particular subject, such as "xyz" and all messages sent to them using that subject would be matched and grouped into a single page (just like a thread page), where they can all be viewed together.
The user can choose to reply individually or send a bulk message out without having to go through the usernames of all participants.

Messages are arranged by default according to date in descending order. However, you can arrange the messages according to subject alphabetically or numerically in a descending or ascending order by clicking on the subject link. Here you will be able to see messages of a specific subject clustered together thou you will be able to see only 20 of them per page.

You can also use this links to your convenience
Ascending order - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;f=inbox;start=0;sort=subject;
Descending order - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;f=inbox;start=0;sort=subject;desc;

The feature you are requesting will probably never be added on the current forum software.

I don't think we need this, private message is what it is -for an example you don't have messages grouped by subject on social media- the message home view accommodates a large view so you can have a quick read and no which to ignore, to me it's would be overly cluttered if this was implemented

This would be a new feature that would fit into this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-disscutionepochtalk-additon-features-request-5228093
Well, in SMF this will certainly not be implemented. In Epochtalk maybe it is Smiley

Most giveaways on the forum, including the private giveaway option created by theymos, involves the organizer getting multiple private messages from lots of participants.
I've been thinking of a way to make forum messages more streamlined and easy to access, especially when one has to receive lots of them.

My suggestion is an algorithm that matches messages based on the subject attached to it.
It would also allow the user to delete all messages containing that subject if they wish to do so after the contest.
