Considering price increase and coming from a negative I'm counting this one as a win. Still has been a nice summer for miners.
Hopefully rest of summer falls in line like it has so far.
price has pushed up to 235 usd.
maybe the 50 bill mark gets past next time.

There's a lot of "empty space" (i.e. unclaimed spots) for it to land as well. I wouldn't be a bit surprised it's a complete miss this time, just like last time.
I've tried calling my buddies at KNC to see if they wouldn't turn off 10PH or so, so I could win. Strangely enough they haven't returned my call! (That's a huge flippant smiley)

A quick look at those financials from December says KNC may be bankrupt before 2016. Mining, much like pimping, ain't easy.

Agree that even +6% is not a catastrophe, we will just roll back to start of April when the diff was just under 50millions and this will be just a bit higher. Worse is I am not seeing short time hashrate calming, it's making spikes higher and higher without making downward spikes, so probably another +5% are in the waiting for next diff adjustment.
As KnC brings their new facility online this fall things are going to go up and up.
As we've learned from their past performance "this fall" could be sometime in 2016. I wouldn't worry about that just yet.

I read a few articles here and there. They surmised KNC was going to start mining with .07 to .2 watt gear this month.
If KNC can do this in the summer it will put a lot of pressure on marginal farms. Especially if KNC can drive price down under 200$

Price so far is doing good it's on a small upswing. I personally hope we see the price to continue to rise.
Even if KNC replaces all of their old gear and add's some I think eventually it will slow down. I think part of what makes this jump so bad is we had a negative the week before. If you take the -2.5 out of the 5.5 or so positive change right now as it appears. Were talking about around a 3 percent jump still kinda small.
