The media has become so partisan in the last decade that it’s insane.  The blatant manipulation of polls and dissemination of blatantly false information on both sides is abhorrent.  The 2 party system is an utter failure and the US needs a 3rd and even 4th viable party more than ever.  I shouldn’t have to choose between 2 opposite lunatics every election. 

We have freedom of speech... the 1st Amendment:
This amendment has been interpreted to mean freedom of speech without repercussions for what was said, if it was general talk, and was not a direct threat against anyone.

So, the question is, when Trump talked, did he talk as President? Or did he talk personally? If he talked personally, he could say almost anything under the 1st Amendment.

But if he talked as President, the 1st Amendment still applies... except if he broke a contract/agreement, or said something that might endanger government security or the American people. Since what Trump said was just the opposite of this, 1st Amendment freedom of speech applies... lies or no lies.

One doesn't have to look hard to see what's exaggerated and what is twisted. The problem is that people are emotionally invested in their side. So if Trump has an innocent conversation, the other side say he was abusing his power, he releases the conversation, it shows that his words are being twisted, but the people who are already against are blind to see that the whole thing was exaggerated.

"Muslims are criminal" is a statement that is shown to be true by the Koran and Hadiths - http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm. But it is only truth for non-Muslims. Muslims understand that "criminal" is false for them, because the Koran and Hadiths require that they be this way.

So who are Muslims? How do you tell which people are Muslims and which aren't? Isn't it determined by comparing people with the Koran and Hadiths? Which people are obeying the Koran and Hadiths better than any other people? Isn't it ISIS who is most obedient? The peaceful Muslims almost never do the violence required of them in the Koran and Hadiths, as shown at the above linked site. Rather, the peaceful Muslims have turned themselves against the violence ordered by the Koran and Hadiths.

Are you a Muslim if you don't follow the directives of the Koran and Hadiths? Of course not. You can call yourself a Muslim all day long, but if you don't obey the directives of the Koran and Hadiths, you are a hypocritical liar. This means that 99% or more of the people who call themselves "Muslim," are really not Muslim, because they don't obey.

In fact, when ISIS kills peaceful Muslims, they are simply doing what is commanded them by the Koran and Hadiths... killing off the backsliders.

This is why non-Muslims call Muslims criminals.

the problem with "lying" lies int the precision of statments, if you say "muslims are highly criminal", it is true and correct in regions and states that muslims fight against but it is not true and not correct for the islamic state.

therefor a statment like "muslims are criminal" can be correct or a lie at the same time depending on the perspective, i personal have given up (as a german) i know that you can't behave in a way that makes everyone happy without also destryoing yourself.

thats just one example, precision and perspective related interpretation can make everyone a liar, or truth sayer.

Well, he IS a president who was impeached just recently. And all of his past deeds coming up cause of the impeachment, I doubt news of him wouldn't actually arise cause of this. Sure, lots of coverage for him in the media and in the internet, but honestly, even 1% of those being positive or good about him can be considered good already.

Isn't this overkill even for Trump? And this is them basically saying "We killed Trump, What you gonna do about it?" kinda thing.

I don't think that Trump is lying because a lot of times the media is spreading misinformation The media is lying because they know it without knowing it Trump is so good and so confident he will become very famous That is why people must first change their attitude.

Trump and his wild speaking is serving to gradually show the American people how government people are screwing them royally. That's why Dem leaders are so vehemently against Trump. It is also why they are careful to not reveal any more of what they are doing than necessary.

Trump has to say and do a lot of what he does and says very carefully. If he reveals the true, bottom-line, nitty-gritty of how the government and the banks are raking the who nation over the coals, they would find some way to assassinate him. Maybe this is the assassination method (below). Remember, Biden and Pelosi are in the Uhraine via their kids. And behind the scenes, much of the Ukraine is covertly linked with Russia.

It's worth noting that Trump is not any kind of traditional conservative politician. Look at the number of Repubs who were opposed to him (some of them still are).

He is something quite different, and for many people, hard to comprehend.

It would seem that much more difficult then, to apply a moral equivalence argument.

I mean while I'm a fan of Trump, I'm not someone who's going to close my eyes and put my fingers in my ears and say LALALALALALALLALALALALALAL. That's just not fair in the least. Trump lies, and so does the Media. But Trump isn't this Saint who is always truthful and nor is the media.

It's not fair to anyone, and yourself to try to beleive that the Conservative echo chamber (of the liberal echo chamber) is always right without fault.

Both sides are right are certain points, and we have to come to accept that.

The problem with your thinking is, REALITY rules, no matter if and when people tell the truth, and if and when they lie.

The first reality is that everybody dies. Or are the graves in all the cemeteries false media doings?

The reality is that things happen no matter how many people are truthful or not. So, yes. Everything can be doubted. But it will be found out if it is true or false, sooner or later.

Trump's lies now and again, are his method of opposing the Dems who lie even more.

Personally, it's never a media vs reported target question for me: media are untrustworty whatsoever, especially mainstream ones. As Corbyn excellently put it the other day, "we believe in free press... now we pray for press to free itself from its corporate shareholders' agenda".

If you go further in such reasoning everything can be doubted. Does the world which we observe around (or even inside) us exist at all? Or our consciousness is just conjuring everything up? What can we know for sure? Nothing. So whether those hurricanes took place in "reality" depends only on your point of view IMHO
