I don't know if this man is serious about the crypto itself but I find him very interesting as he's one of the defender when there's a FUD before when Dimon stepped in and tells that bitcoin is a fraud.
McAfee is a loser and a fud spreader. At the time Binance was offline, he started spreading fud making it look like they were hacked. If that isn't a nasty practice of him, then I don't know how high your standards are.

What I find even more funny, or pathetic, is that he keeps has been recommending his Twitter followers to buy certain absolute shitcoins. He has even claimed that his account was hacked once, while it wasn't the case.

Like seriously, you're a billionaire already, why all this effort to gain a few thousand bucks off of innocent people and noobs? He's tarnishing his own reputation for pocket change. He is mentally challenged I believe.

I agree. Even though he seems to be a defender of bitcoin, I don't approve of his methods. He's making bitcoin look more like bitconnect than an actual long term venture that is supposed to be revolutionizing the world.

There is a 99.99999% chance that his speculation won't be redeemed, and he probably won't redeem his promises either.

Making outlandish claims about bitcoin's pricing in the future, without any basis is more misleading than anyone else. Even long term bulls like me and many other people will say with certainty that BTC's price will not go to what McAfee claims it will go to.

There was another of these threads awhile back and I did a little back of the napkin calculation on it and surprisingly it is in the realm of possibility. McAfee's scenario calls for complete capitulation of the legacy market's within a year's time, where as I feel it will take several years for that archaic beast to realize the wound's is mortal. While I have been called out on some of my figures(broad money could be 20x more than the number I used) I still think they are relevant. The format is crude for sure but there is a certain elegance to its form I think.

Honestly, knowing that 6.2 btc will be the reward next, it just...kind of implies that my <1BTC will be worth much much more than it currently is, it's not a sure things obviously, but....I can only hope.

It's only logical to assume that. Even if demand stays static until the next halving then the price should in theory increase as there is less sell pressure from the miners. If demand increases at the same time then the price can grow a lot more.

Seriously I was fooled by him before when he said that bitcoin will reach $500,000 -> $1,000,000. I don't know if this man is serious about the crypto itself but I find him very interesting as he's one of the defender when there's a FUD before when Dimon stepped in and tells that bitcoin is a fraud.
Do you guys think he'll come by if someone reaches out to him on Twitter or something?  I heard he's game.
I think he's reachable, have you ever tweeted or contacted him?

ever since i saw his couple of tweets which was pretty suspicious and let to pumps of the altcoins he was advertising, i am convinced that he did all that for publicity.

and he made a lot of money from that publicity also. imagine a pump group that is so much bigger than someone unknown idiot on telegram with some sheep following him.

I think he eventually claimed that his account got hacked. I call bullshit, I think he was really pumping these coins himself, got paid big sums of BTC for doing so, then after he was done, to keep his credibility intact, he claimed that he was "hacked". I haven't checked his twitter in a long time because honestly he isn't that knowledgeable in crypto, so I don't know if he's still pumping ICOs and alts left and right. What I do know is, he hangs out with Ver, Jihan, Craig.. the BCash clan, so I wouldn't consider his opinion to be trusted, he is just jumping on the crypto bandwagon for attention, kinda like Kim Dotcom. They are yet to provide real value, a genuine product, or better yet, a Bitcoin BIP of substance, until then, this guy is just a shill with a lot of followers.

he probably got scared or maybe someone gave him a friendly warning so he started looking for an exit strategy to keep face while getting out of it, so he made that dumb claim that his Twitter account was hacked.

as you may know market manipulation (which is basically what he was doing) is a very illegal thing to do in a lot of different jurisdictions.

I heard some "rumors" about him, how in a particular Asian country he was partaking in a scat fetish with some women over there.

Ooooo...  I wonder what that must have been like.  Imagine spreading someone elses sh*t all over your face.  Ugh!

If he could do that who knows what else he could do.  Maybe he really would eat his own dick.  Lmao!  Grin

I believe if we can have 18 to 20% global adoption bitcoin will be above  $1,000,000 just that from now to 2020 is still a very long time and many development will happen that is going to attract the society to hold bitcoin. Mcafee comments and speculation has built some of us confidence in bitcoin and help in pushing the price forward in 2017 and I believe 2018 will be better.

Idk why media and community is giving too much attention to his useless and inaccurate statements about cryptos.
Just a publicity stunt to be in news all the time, i didn't find any proper analysis of him.
$1M in 2020 means bitcoin need to have a growth rate of about 5000% per year, damn.

He used a very obscure model which predicts 1 million per coin at 20% global adoption.

It's a joke, he is a manipulator on a term of investments adviser, and people follows what he says blindly.

I think it's just an organized pump, and mcafee knows that he won't be able to do that on the regular stock market as it is regulated and he will probably find himself getting arrested, so what he can't do on the regulated market, why won't he be able to do on the unregulated one?

Just a method for mcafee to make money of poor people, nothing different from other things he do.
Soon, if bitcoin won't reach 100K$, he will need to eat his dick on the national TV, that's a thing I want to see, although mcafee is known for not fulfilling promises.

Who is to say that he is not already among as but nobody knows of it? Keep your eyes pealed for the most deluded of comments and posts that exude arrogance and we might just find him. He's actually been fairly good for crypto but he's a whacko, plain and simple. No one in the 'real' world will take him seriously. Each time I see anything about him I do wonder how on earth he engineered and ran such a successful business for so many years. Then again, Trump is president.

Let's the focus on the other thing McAfee said for a change.  Eating his d*ck on national TV.  Lol.  It would be great to have him here in BCT, among the low lifes, and interact with us.  Grin

I think it's just a game of politics because there is no road and mafafee actually can not control the bitcoin movement, it all depends on the demand of bitcoin enthusiasts.

90-99% sure that he was on BCT at one point or another.

Omg that would be fun.  He prolly posts like Shelby, all coked up, sharing his thoughts and tapping on his keyboard all night, making long ass posts.  Lol.

You know anyone here with that same profile?

Yes he will, I've watched an interview on him by one of a well known group of traders on facebook. And he's game to be in that interview giving his own thought about this whole year about fighting against regulations which he actually said that on that video and it's happening now. I know many will not consider him as he's losing credibility through pump and dump ICO's and altcoins that he went through last time. But I'm also interested about that dick thing and I wanted to see bitcoin hitting $1M to the moon.
