Had to get a bit creative (electric car/special fuel plates) and my buddy already owns BITCOIN for VA.  I think the globe is a nice touch, tho Smiley

Too bad custom plates aren't allowed in Europe :S

Sure they are. They are expensive but not unseen in the UK, for example. And in Luxembourg, I once saw an old Jaguar bearing the licence plate JB 007 (this is actually the standard Luxembourgish plate format) - how could that not be vanity? Smiley

Nice, what State is that?

A Fiat as in a play on fiat currencies, very good.

NSW Australia

Yes - and the Fiat was bought with fiat currency unfortunately, but I did ask the seller if he accepted Bitcoin.  He hadn't heard of it but politely said he thought it was interesting.
It was bought somewhat unplanned when I was out of town, and I had to drive a few hundred km back home to get the Fiat fiat rustled together... would have saved me a lot of travelling if he'd accepted Bitcoin!

This post really made me laugh. Thanks mate! Smiley

(And BTC10 more for you if you introduce me to my Aussie girlfriend... Grin )

Massachusetts is the worst for vanity plates. You have only have up to 6 characters and you can't mix letters and numbers. And registration when you have vanity plates costs 3 times as much ($75 per year). So no "BITCOIN" in this state I guess.
Try Finland:
We have the choise of 2-3 letters and 1-3 numbers, in that order, no mixing and applying costs 900 euros (~1200$) even if declined.

You are nuts.// this ROCKS

Do you pay extra charge for custom plates in the US?

It varies by state, but there is usually some one time extra fee.

Cool, thanks, have added it here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1230829 so far just US & Aus represented, surprising that haven't seen some BTC type plates from other countries as yet.
