Looks like medic coin has been busy purging as much information about them that exposes the scam. These posts were from 2018.

Perhaps they are getting ready for the next pump and dump.

Easy answer (not saying this is a ponzi) but google ponzi and the early investors.  They get their money back its the late comers.  Demand for the coin has to keep up with the supply as well with you getting back the coins so quick.  Again im not saying its a ponzi but sounds like he is concerned with the back end investors, dont be so naive and think that the goose always lays a golden egg.

The other thing that worrys me is the pointless bumps every couple hours by the same people that say the same thing.  "This coin is good coin".  About 4 of the members here have about 50+ comments saying the same exact thing.  Its called shill bumping, bitcoin9999 if you want this to look profesional here i would simmer the shill bumpers to a minimum.  It looks sketchy to some as some teams pay people to bump their threads and thats what it can be misconstrued as.  I dont mind seeing a couple nonsense posts from the same person but if there is nothing new to "the message" of the post it becomes spam or shill bumping.  My 2 cents for you.  (Heads up its a lot of other people thinking the same way i am about this)

These are exactly my concerns. Not everyone who participates in a ponzi or pyramid scheme is a intentional scammer. Some schemes are ponzis by accidental design.
People who participate in ponzis and scams often are either fooled into participation or don't have the knowledge to understand the economic principles.

Often people believe that coin price is determined by hype or fud. The coins that survive are the ones that either have sound economic principles or their bubble hasn't burst yet.

The design of the Medic coin will cause hyperinflation. Some coins that have been down this road end up burning coins or doing 1:1000 swaps (like Pac)
Eventually someone will end up losing. People who make their money at the early stages of a ponzi style coin do so at the expense of others losing their money later.

The early adaptors disappear before the problems occur because the price is up by artificial hype. They will have cashed out before the trouble starts.

Typical life cycle of a hyper inflationary coin.
Typical life cycle of a inflationary coin that is pumped and dumped.

I do believe that the team members are real people. What I have been trying to establish is whether those people are just "names" to make it look like a big team, family to spread the distribution of the premine or have actual functions that contribute to the coin. There is no issue with the being family - that is not necessarily a bad thing either. What is troubling is that there is no real information about them on how they are connected and what they are contributing to the coin.

They are family.  We don't want to put our workers up because we are afraid that other people will recruit them.  The family team are moderators and community maerketer as the title said.  I am not sure what else to say about what they do because the title said everything.  Like "Global Moderator" means they moderate our Discord, telegram, facebook, etc.  Community liaison means she goes around and talk to people and business about Medic Coin.  "Dental community Liason" means he talks about MedicCoin to other dental students.

Quote
A premine is a concern - especially one that results in 80% or more of the coins in circulation being the direct result of the premine. It effectively makes the coin like a ponzi or pyramid scheme. It means that the founders and early adaptors make their gain from convincing others to invest. Eventually the scheme peaks and people get left holding worthless crypto.
Honestly, we did not know premine is a concern since we saw so many ICO that had 100% premined and team/developers/products get about 30%.  Actually, in this case the early investors barely got their money back.  So the early adaptors did not do well.

Quote
However - if a premine is used to advance the coin - it is not necesarily a bad thing. But this should be done openly and transparently. Some coins use a "hive" for that purpose.
We do use the premine to list the coin on 6 exchanges and use to payout salary for making MedicWalk proof of sweat app, android wallet, iOS wallet, linux wallet, windows wallet, etc.  We also use it to pay for marketing.  We also use it to pay for our day and night work on bitcointalk, discord, telegram, twitter, sponsor events, etc.  As you know, we use fiat to payout for most of the development because there is no volume to sell Medic Coin.

Quote
Unfortunately scams often run as sucessful projects in the beginning. It is near the end when investors are losing and the founders have already taken all their money that it is 100% evident that it is a scam. Signatum was one of those scams. I warned the people about the coin in September. In October their scamming dev "dissappeared" and by November the police was starting to be involved investigating hacking, scamming and fraud.

It is kinda hard for us to disappear in the USA.  We are doctors and engineers so it is like ruin our careers /reputation over a coin.

Quote
I also understand that English doesn't appear to be your first language - so some of the misleading phrases used may have been accidental.
Yes, sometime we don't know how to put it.  For example, we should put "microloan given inspired by MEDIC Coin" for personal donations.  It is true, we wouldn't give out loans and make donations if it wasn't for MEDIC Coin.  We did not donate to get tax receipt.  We donate to make MEDIC Coin look good.  The end results:  people get benefits from donation and Medic Coin get credits.  From now on we will put "donation is inspired by Medic Coin" to let people know that it wasn't Medic Coin that donate because Medic Coin is not a company.

Quote
It is really important that as a project leader you inform people of the good and the bad. Simply stating "don't invest what you can't afford to lose" is not enough. You have to make sure that the information that people use to invest is as accurately as possible - otherwise it can lead to all sorts of legal issues. https://cryptovest.com/news/davor-coin-fell-apart-while-denying-until-the-last/

We would love to make this more transparent.   We are trying to do that.  Like we said before we did not know that premine was a big deal because we stated that in our ANN thread.

Quote
1) Transparency - blockchain can be used to prove transactions and provide transparency.
Some may have good intentions and have a good heart but you cannot see that on a blockchain.
You can set up a wallet address and deposit x amount of coins for "app development" and publish how each payment is spent.
You can set up a wallet addess and deposit x amount of coins for "doctor subsidies".
You can set up a wallet addess and deposit x amount of coins for "folding@home rewards".
You can set up a wallet addess and deposit x amount of coins for "exchange listings".
You can publish the wallet addresses of the founders / team members and acknowledge their stake of the premine.
How are the team members retated to each other and what crypto / marketing skills or benefits to they bring to the team.

We will make announcement to allocate Medic to those.  We are working on that with our masternode owners.  We spent a lot of money on exchange listings and other stuffs already.

Quote
Currently 80-90% of the wealth or profits made from the coin are for the founders. Are they puting the profits in their pockets or are they using it all or part to build the coin. How much are they putting in their pockets.

We are using that to build products for the coin.  We already have our MedicWalk in beta testing.  We already have proof of folding working and paid out daily.  The volume is so low.  You can see that on all the exchanges the maximum number of MEDIC coin on sale is about 450,000 MEDIC and none of that is our.  When there is no volume, we let the investors sell them.  So basically right now we are working for free and hope we get payout later when more people adopt MEDIC.

Quote
If it hasn't been done - it may be worthwhile doing. List the richlist and what the addreses are for.
We have a richlist link in our explorer.  If we want to hide something, we would have a link to the richlist.

Quote
People with majority holdings can manipulate the price of a coin. So it is important information. When a dev sells their stake in a coin it usually means they are leaving.
Yes, if we sell everything that would crash and everybody would lose money.  The volume is very low.

Quote
2) Inaccurate claims. As an unregistered security and the laws being vague and changing it is really important to ensure that no deceptive claims are made (deceptive does not mean that it is intentional - it just means that the claim may fool people).
Deceptive claims can result in serious legal problems for coin founders later if the coin fails.

We used information on masternodes.pro and masternodes.online to post.  We did not know that was inaccurate.  They charged us money to list there and they told us that there calculations are very accurate.  Can you point out the deceptive claims so we can correct them.

Quote
3) Hyperinflation. Super high returns on coins tend to never end well. It causes Hyperinflation which means that the coin value keeps decreasing very fast. Once a coin reaches a really low value it dies (hyperstake, superturbostake) or requires a coinswap. (Pac coin is an expample of that) https://www.coins-auctioned.com/learn/news/hyperinflation-effects-on-currency

We planned to use about 80 million of the premined coins on MedicWalk, Foldingathome, etc.

Quote
4) Codebase. What coin or coins is Medic coin based on ? Who is the coin developer ? Is the coin developer a contractor or permanently part of the team. Which other coins has the coin developer written code for ?

MEDIC is a fork of Crave.  The coin developers some are contractors and some are salary.

I hope to make this clearer.  Thank you for your critics.

When anyone control 30% of the total supply of a coin then that project is as good as dead.

With the volume so low on exchanges I'd be surprised if there wasn't any back and forth wash trading going on by developers to artificially inflate the demand of the coin, so that they can achieve their ultimate goal of dumping the coin on the open market for a nice profit.

As The Pharmacist said, this is disgusting to use the story of helping the needy but in reality the developers are just trying to have a nice payday.

With all the evidence, it's safe to say that this is a coin to avoid. Even if they turned out to be legit I don't know why you would invest in anything with a 150 million coin premine when the total supply is 500 million.

Meh.
What a pack of total skunks.

It burns my ass that these people are scamming in the name of 1) Medicine, and 2) Helping the poor, both of which are noble causes that should be supported.  My guess is that they're well aware of this and are using the typical scammer tactic of telling investors what they think the investors want to hear, plus they're playing on the greed of idiots who don't know any better.

Props to you OP for calling them out for what they are.  This is no different than the other 100 ICO scams we've seen in the way it's being carried out, but this particular "project" is deplorable.  It's a bunch of filthy gasbags fleecing people who are either trying to make money on the next big project or who want to help the underserved.  These disgusting human beings should be locked up in the hoose-gow for life.

I could not have said it better Pharmacist. I am disgusted that they are using Medicine and Charity to cover up their scam, they seemingly have an army of newbie accounts that are propping up the thread as well.. dismissing everyone that speaks out against them as FUDers. It's sad.

Ive spent the last 2 days getting answers of where their premine went.  5 pages! And the answer to where the premine went to, i got told "check the block explorer".

They claimed to have doctors on board and they were given $10k worth of coin.  Ok great i asked which ones and give me the contact info so i can see how they plan to distribute the medic to their patients.  I was told "dont bother them".  Hmmm okay

So now its clear they mined for 10 days when all the blocks were 100,000 per block (once announced to the public they are now only 199 coins a block).  They ammassed somewhere around 150 million coins.  And you need 200,000 coins for a masternode....so guess who keeps all the masternodes, you got it.  The developers unless you want to buy their coins at an inflated rate on the market.

I literally got no answer about their premine except some deflected answers not about addressing my questions.  And finally was told there is a time for everything and now isnt the time to disclose that information  Cool

I think we all know where this one is headed.  On some masternode stats they show up as one of the most profitable.  There is very low volume on exchanges for this coin so i imagine they are buying and selling their own coins (can not confirm this) to achieve a high per coin cost.  I would hate to see inncocent people get burned but this one looks bad.

I know how you feel. Any answers have to be dragged out of them and most of the time it is just deflection, distraction, partiial answers and being ignored. Questions are just buried in a load of "I love medic coin because by a newbie or Jr account and all of their posts are on the medic coin thread or some other coin that pays bounties for hyping it. The reason I use this format in the accusation thread is so I can add the answers as they become available and so that people can easily see the information without having to read 48 pages of self praise with the occasional question or partial answer in it. Coins have premines but the way this premine was done in combination with high reward masternodes the control and profit being made is purely for the person or group of people that started it.

Block chain can easily be used for proof and transparency. The only reason not to be transparent while asking for people to invest is if you have something to hide.

30% premine with high masternode stake rewards has effectively resulted in an estimated 80-90% premine of current circulating coins.

I have not found an LLC - What is the company name ? How is the $40 million calculated ? What assets does it have ?
Hanson Nguyen stated in the Linkedin profile that MedicCoin is a $40 million company. -  had been changed to community leader, no ceo or anything.  this is not a company.  MedicCoin is not a $40 million company, because it is not a company.

So far it is believed that they spent the following on exchange listings:

It appears over 80% of the coins in circulation are from a premine controlled by a small group of family and friends of Hansen Nguyen

Specific requests were made but only vague answers were given. There appears to be no transparency.

By having a massive premine they also control most of the masternodes and get the majority of the masternode rewards.

It appears that they are using people who are sick or in financial distress (poverty) to promote their coin. Without providing any tangible proof that "the coin" is helping any of those people.
*receipts provided allowing tax benefits were in other peoples names and not medic coin.

Despite asking for tangible proof there is no proof that any donations have been made - by the coin.

Despite asking for tangible proof there is no proof that any doctors or patients have benefitted from the coin.

It is annoying that rather than answering questions in a straightforward manner there is an attempt to drown out any genuine concerns by a small number of shills and sockpuppets

Edit: Finally some answers are forthcoming.

As you know, we use fiat to payout for most of the development because there is no volume to sell Medic Coin

Medic Walk and Folding at Home require medic coins.  We reward them for walking and folding.  So we reserve Medic Coin for those projects.  We donated about $10k in Medic Coin to each physician who signed up to use our EMR so they can help their patients stay compliant with their medications/ treatment plans.  Very good questions.  Thank you for asking.

The donations and charities event were donated from our money.  We believe in philanthropy work.

Thats great! What doctors have recieved medic coin for that program? Very interesting

And how much was given to each one of the team members.  What is the address associated with those accounts?

We are proud to show our merchants page.  http://medicmerchants.com/  .  Remember Medic Coin is only four months old so give us times to grow.

Who is the doctors name or person at those places that have recieved medic coin.  I would like to ask them about their customer distribution and how they plan to handle that.  Thanks

Dont want this to get buried, interested in knowing how the doctors handle this, can you give me some points of contact for those medical professionals that have recieved $10k in medic to give to their clients, thank you

Please don't bother them.  We are not going to give you the number so you can call their offices and bother them.  They are busy seeing patients.  We trust them to do whatever with the funds that we gave them.

No evidence of any of the claims made. Every question is dodged and deceptive answers given.
