I recall the medical project MediBloc, which developed a single ecosystem in the medical field that will have information about the medical history of each person. At the same time, all data will be in complete safety and confidentiality, and access to information will only be available to the patient. This project modernizes the outdated medical system of storing information about patients.

Are there any mainstream coins that support something like cancer research or something else that will benefit humanity or are most just flashy non-issue utility shitcoins?
Yes, of course. There are some projects in the health sector that implement blockchain system like docademic, farmatrust, etc.
But for now I'm really interested with Virtual Rehab Project (VRH). I have researched for it, and I see they are have a bright future on health sector. You know why? because "Virtual Rehab's evidence-based solution leverages the advancements in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technologies for pain management, prevention of substance use disorders, and rehabilitation of repeat offenders. They will also to offer help and to offer incentives through the use of Virtual Rehab's ERC20 $VRH utility token."

In my opinion VRH is one of the tokens that is very useful for humans, their system can change the world and can even be a good inspiration for other projects. Of course there are also some very useful tokens like VRH (so this coin is not the only one). You can look for other source in here

Docademic I remember was vouched by JOHN MCAFEE.

I doubt if any of these med projects are going to be used widely but may after 10 years when the adoption of the crypto is achieved. Docademic is the only that comes in my mind when it comes to medical projects but right now the price of this Docademic is even just $0.05 which by its price its obvious the project hasn't yet been developed.

One side is providing computing power for scientific research
Here great article about https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/20/technology/personaltech/donate-your-computers-spare-time-to-science.html
Other side is charity tokens, but i think there can be a lot of scam among them.

i can't really find any information about regulations in medical crypto's, could anyone give me an idea/vision about it? I think this industry is really big and has potential but with some new project got blocked or stopped because of the laws in different countries.

would be much appreciated if someone could shine a light on that part for me. thanks in advance!

I don't think there would be any specific regulations that medical-based cryptos would have to adhere to outside of normal regulations like KYC and so forth, with the exception of HIPAA laws.  Even then as long as the blockchain contains no patient identifiable data then you are set.  But, then again, I am not a lawyer.  Read up on HIPAA, that should at least point you in the right direction, assuming you are US-based.

They take on too much responsibility, which greatly affects the final result of the project. For all the time I participated in only one such project - HealthNexus. I hope the project will be successful. Although I guess it could be my big mistake

Have you ever read their whitepapers? I am sure that they can be very useful if they are adapted for use in innovative medical centres. Medical funds on the blockchain or the base of medical accounting on the blockchain are our future, which will come very soon. Although now they look very funny.

Are there any mainstream coins...

No. I would hesitate to call Bitcoin 'mainstream', not to mention the lesser known alts and tokens.

...that support something like cancer research or something else that will benefit humanity or are most just flashy non-issue utility shitcoins?

We've seen thousands of ICOs so far and sure, there are few projects related to medical care or research. Not sure about legitimacy of them, could be just a money grab schemes, but here are some examples:

Docademic, ARNA Panacea, RIK Coin, Foldingcoin, Curecoin

Even before the ICO era, there was GridCoin, which you could mine while providing computing power for scientific research.

I think medicine is too law regulated for any ICO projects to become something more than money grab but DYOR.
