Will the Indian government legalize crypto in India? let me know

A great cause for a great future, giving the young and young adults a glimpse of the future through block chain I commend his action by trying to make a point to the government and opening the mind of other people in India. but I doubt that his cause will be long and rough as long as the Indian government refuse the Idea of blockchain and the benefits it can give.

I am hoping that eventually the saga of many Indians dreaming for the approval and legalization of cryptocurrency in India will soon come true. The movement has to metamorphose into an avalanche of support so the more people connecting with this group the better it would be. I am not really from India but I know the beautiful repercussions if the India market can be open for cryptocurrency. There is a need to convey this message to those in the government so that we can allay their fears and misconceptions on this innovation. Let's all help Nischal Shetty in spreading more awareness on many benefits and advantages of cryptocurrency to one's economy and the people.

I guess it’s time for us to stand more appropriate and say a word “The World Needs Crypto” because not only India has this desire of having their people recognizes cryptocurrency instead people of the world now are seeking for its place to have this virtual money’s to be accepted by their governments

It is a matter of time that India will legalize the usage of Bitcoin. They can see that first world countries have no problem with btc or crypto, so what is in them that they can't adapt this change? If they will stay with their position, they will be left behind by this amazing technology.
But the thing is when will this be happening?as India has been wavering their flags ever since to have this cryptocurrency to be legalized and accepted by Indian government

I don't think the government of India would even listen to such pressure group. They are contend on their own way of ruling.
But as I've heard a lot of high level politician and their kids as well some billionares from india have invested and cryptocurrency so they won't be making an outright ban on crypto.
And these guys can go to other countries and have fun with their money while it gets difficult for the normal investor to reedem their coins to cash.

it's about time that somebody from India does this and the best man who can do this, is a man who has a stake in the development of Cryptocurrency in India, I hope he'll get a lot of supports from Bitcoiners from that region and they can create a loud and big voice so they will not be ignored.

I hope so that Indian Government will soon realize that legalization of cryptocurrency is a big help for their financial system.
What he did is right he realizes how bitcoin and all other cryptocurrency will help them and he is a living proof of that crypto may help your life grow at atleast have some ease in everyday life.
If he will still push through his campaign and gather many supporters theres a big chance India will consider legalization of bitcoin

We hope that he can give influence to his people to still use cryptocurrency, and the Indian government will not banning cryptocurrency.
If cryptocurrency can give more benefits to the people, then the Indian government needs to think about it, and they should not ban cryptocurrency.
But still, we don't know what will the Indian government wants to do with cryptocurrency, and we don't know if they are sure to banning cryptocurrency so let's we wait for the next update from them.

I think India is a very populous country and a huge number of it citizens are already involved in cryptocurrency and with this exchange created by an Indian the government would be more obliged to legalize cryptocurrency in the country but this might not be happening anytime soon

The Indian government has long been indecisive about regulation with respect to the cryptocurrency industry. There is a general consensus that cryptocurrency cannot be dismissed as completely illegal. It needs to be legalised with strong riders. A draft bill entitled Banning of Cryptocurrencies and Regulation of Official Digital Currencies Bill 2019 has been circulated to relevant government departments for discussion.

India is a developing country which needs cryptocurrency as assistance but the government doesn't want to take the risks since crypto could be used in negative ways in the said country.
There are still users who still try to engage with crypto transactions but they couldn't access some crypto features in their country.

There are lot of people who uses bitcoin and cryptocurrency in India, and having the government not legalize it will influence in a bad way investors and business who relay on it, the decisions of it to be regulated was suggested a while back but the government refused, and with the reelection of the same people i don't think there is a chance of it being accepted even if there was a huge movement like this guy is trying to do, the only way they could accept it is if the government had new people with vision to the future and know and understand what crypto and bitcoin could do.

I can't say exactly now but there are possibility that it can happen in the future. The world is being globalized and new things are coming in to update old stuffs, so it is possible even with such awareness going on with the youths in India.

C'mmon guys! That was expected somehow simply because he is an exchange owner. I'm not saying that his intentions are pure or whatsoever but I have a strong gut feel that he is doing such stunt in order to get more investors. The more crypto investors he encourage, the more possibilities they use his exchange which is also equivalent to more profits *kaching kaching Grin.

Anyway, don't get me wrong, I'm not judging him at all. Actually, I really like his initiative to to help the whole crypto community grow.

I guess that Blockchain revolution is desperately needed in the country, where in 2014 60% of population had no access to toilets. Maybe now they are going to shit on the blockchain, duno.

There has been some information in India confirming that the national government does not accept Crypto. The trend of globalization and everyone knows Cryptocurrency is spreading. But some countries continue to ban and prevent Crypto's development. India is a country with fast Crypto growth. I hope that in the future, the national government will accept it.
Countries should not be accepted by the government.
But people should be free to use it.

He did the right thing to help develop the cryptocurrency in India but I think things didn't work the way he wanted because India has been banning and stopping their people to support and use crypto services. We all know that India is an independent country and they're not open for adoptions.

This is a great move by the founder of WazirX which is a pretty decent exchange in my opinion, but I doubt anything will come out of this. The primary reason:

- The current ruling government in India never liked crypto and they have returned to power which is why I don't think they will change their stance regarding this matter.

- Majority of the Indians do not even know what a Bitcoin is and are happily dependent on FIAT. They need to be educated as to how crypto can be beneficial in the long term in a simple and easy to understand manner.

see this:

and now see this:

Report: India Considers Complete Ban on Digital Currencies

they do not like cryptos and will not accept cryptos so early. Japan and other countries are struggling to accept cryptos, something very good... while countries like India are focusing on religion and caste system

Yes I also hope that some day soon all of the government and country would accept crypto and blockchain,
It could really help them a lot  if they only accepts it and learn to use it properly blockchain could help them in many ways.
