Wonderful people in that list. Life is how you make it. I feel glad whenever I see these successful people. They are the real definition of inspiration, I will get there one day.
US business magazine Forbes launched a list of the richest people who were able to reap wealth thanks to their investments in the world of digital money (cryptocurrency). This is the first time Forbes has issued a list like this since it was founded in 1917. The valuation of wealth is based on the income that can be earned after trading in assets and shares in a business related to digital currency. The wealth listed by Forbes is an estimated value using digital money prices on January 19, 2018.

Woah that surely is a very big amount of investment, that maybe i can't never make through working all my life.
And here, many people still said bitcoin is not worth it, scam, fake and other things. Too bad they don't know that you can surely be very rich from this.
I think those who're the richest persons will be the one who's really great at trading, but it turns out they do the hold thing? Well that's right though, if we're patient and make every decision carefully, don't just sell anything in panic we can gain more and avoid loss. I'll make this as lesson for the future who knows i can be as rich as them later.

Forbes recently released a list of the world’s richest individuals in terms of cryptocurrency. There are currently 19 people in the world who own an equivalent of more than $350 million in crypto assets. The top owners of cryptocurrency in the world amassed their wealth in a variety of ways, but most are founders of large cryptocurrency projects and cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Others are either individual investors or part of investment groups and some have established very profitable cryptocurrency mining operations. The one thing that the richest in crypto have in common is that they are all the types to “HODL” (hold on for dear life), meaning that they hold on to their cryptocurrency through any downturns in the market and aren’t quick to make crypto-to-crypto or crypto-to-fiat trades.

This is an interesting article, these people are already so rich that they do not need to sell anything so all these are going with the principle HODL, common seller in crypto market is either a small investor or a miner or coin earner for living, those who can hold good coins will surely get their assets multiplied by many times, take example of BTC in 2012 and today's rate, HODL is a nice choice if someone does not require urgent cash.
You are right, I think they have seen the potential of crypto many years ago and they have had a lot of wealth from it. It is the result of business in the cypto and they deserve it.

Most of the names are very familiar so I'm not surprised if they hold a lot of crypto during its early years. However, for consistency, so list should be updated because Matthew Mellon died recently. (http://time.com/money/5243445/who-is-matthew-mellon-crypto-billionaire/).

@tegarp90 - perhaps there's a lot of bigger whales in the water but they wanted to remain anonymous. Those on the list are personalities who love the limelight so I guess they're fine exposing their crypto wealth.

I'm sure there are someone richer than them but they didn't want to exposed.
Because if like that, they will be marked as a hacker target and it's very risky

Mostly, people who are millionaires from cryptocurrecies are the ones that developed their own coins, few investor individuals or probably, a member of a group of individuals who come to together to invest money and resources in cryptocurrency market. That is why you see a million coin come up everyday, designed on ethereum or other strong platforms. But you need to know what works for you and who you are really. It goes a long way to know how what weak point you might want to work on, or what strength you want to invest on. These guys are smart investors, they are not shaky at heart and most importantly, they study the market timely. So before you idolize any of them, better find out what is it you need from your idol, or else your dreams may not come through. Good luck.

They can be used as motivation, inspiration not to give up even when the market is in a good or bad situation, they are all types for "HODL"  (holding on to a good life) where in the fall the price will never affect them and will hold and wait until the right time. and it turned out to make them successful, being the richest person in terms of cryptocurency.

It is a nice compilation of faces, thank you.

And I can see that there is an abbreviation explanation for HODL now:
Quote
“HODL” (hold on for dear life)

if I am not mistaken, originally it was just a typo (please refer to https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-am-hodling-375643)

Cannot see those who made it from passive income only. Great examples that you can reach higher when doing something yourself and not waiting for the gift of heaven.

To reach the stable position in bitcoin, is not as easy as that. It needs a lot of time, effort, and strength. I'm sure those people that including in the list of wealthiest people in crypto also facing heavy problem before they can succed in crypto it can be our source of motivation to hold on in crypto community.

So basically they all the founders of some platform or coin which made them billionaire and millionaire. I guess its no wonder if they are the founders of big firm and getting huge money out of the market. In that way we can just go and list all the Top 100 richest people according to the ranking of the coin itself.  Cheesy
But surely everyone must be having there inspirational story behind the success and HODL is not their strategy because they are founders of those projects and ultimately they will always have those coins sitting around their wallets.  Wink
But its good to see these rich faces as we should be knowing whose the big guy in the industry where we are struggling like hell to earn some bucks for the dear life that we are having.
