Hmm, I took some preliminary steps into getting pool running for this. first thing that I stumpled on is that I kind find external miner for this, Its kinda hard to pool mine with internal miner isn't it?

I'm not sure - I don't know much about pools or external miners. I'm here to help if there's any changes you need for the QT client or memorycoind that you need answered.

Also I'm adding a $100 USD sweetener bounty award from MCF for the first pool. It might require the creation of an external miner. For the bounty, any client code that needs to be run should be open source, and the pool needs to be zero configuration for the user . . so no account setup or anything like that.

I guess it has similarities with CPR, so I might do it at some point. Ill try first to make it work proper with CPR before going for others. scrypt-jane p2pool sources are kinda obsolete code so theres still some work left, altho yacoin could work for mem out of the box. biggest problems with CPR is with very small amount per block. (Im talking bout p2p ones)

Okay, thanks for the consideration. We've just hit an exchange (Bter) so we should have a clearer idea of what a MC block is worth very soon.

How similar is MemoryCoin to YACoin?

I know there is P2Pool source for YACoin.

Hmm, not sure - but that's interesting starting point - thanks.

I am on it.

Give me about 20 minutes.

I didn't notice this was Scrypt-Jane.

I must have not seen it mentioned on the OP.

Very sorry about this, but, I can't make a p2pool for this, yet...

Ok, sorry to hear that. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Update:

The MemoryCoin Foundation lost its grant and administrator has resigned. To allow anyone who had been working on this to complete it and claim the bounty, it will remain open for 48 hours from the date of this posting. After that the bounty will expire.
-----------------

Any pool owners interested in collaborating on a MemoryCoin pool?

I expect most MC miners will prefer to be part of a pool rather than solo mining. On the client side, I'll also be building pool functionality into the MC wallet . . so new users will have zero configuration to do to start mining in a pool.

Edit: Seems it is not as easy as I thought - I've added a $100 bounty - see below.
