However, when we go to our own merit page through the link
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;
and there are deleted posts for which we have been awarded merit, the subject of the threads is still visible.
Is this intentional? It had me confused for a while.
MERIT SUMMARY : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1762404
NOTES: Almost all his merits have received from xandry. How come?
And almost all points for deleted threads, so he was either spamming and each of his posts got later merited by xandry, or he was posting and deleting everything after getting merited so it's impossible to find out what he was merited for and argue whether the post deserved it or not. Either way it looks like abuse.
This is also interesting https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=382413
Maybe xandry could tell us why almost all posts that he's meriting get deleted.
The moderator xandry gives merit for helping in moderating the forum. Russian section of the forum is very big sizes. And we promptly report the posts or threads violate the forum rules. For that sometimes he get merit.
P.S. Sorry for my English.
Russian Bitcointalk staff gives out merit to people who help him detect spammers. Hence a lot of deleted posts on some of the Russian members merit records.
While it isn't the purpose of merit - it does help keep the forum spam free and improve the quality of the posts so in a indirect way assists in the purpose of the merit system.
