I think people should hand out merit to people that actually want to rank up. I see so much merit get wasted on Legendary members and inactive members.
I wonder if satoshi is watching the forum right now or not. The world really needs him for the betterment of cryptos.

Yes, I too would like to give Satoshi a little merit as a token of appreciation and respect in front of him, but my merit is over

As we all know that Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity was never revealed nor confirmed, what we know of him is actually through the beliefs of the early adopters of bitcoin. And according to them, the legend in shadow did create bitcointalk. And mostly, we rely on beliefs when it comes to satoshi nakamoto til date. So i guess if the crypto experts deem bitcointalk forum to be created by Satoshi Nakamoto, then it might probably be the case.

You're right. Satoshi is a great person and he has done a lot for us, but it seems to me that it is better to give merit to active users. It's just irrational to give such a valuable resource to a dead account. IMHO
Well, Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of Bitcoin. And being the founder of this amazing thing, he deserves more than a merit. An award should be given to him for creting this kind of system. But before rewarding him, the account of his in this forum should be checked properly. Although people are thankful for his work.
Yea, let's all waste merits giving it to somebody who will never use this forum again, and will never see that he has been merited, what a perfect use of the merit system. Or, here's a better idea, how about giving them to active users of the community who deserve it? Do people really think Satoshi gives the slightest damn about merit? He is already merited enough having created the literal system that stands to change the world.
It can be anyone impostering as Satoshi but I would definitely want to convey my gratitude towards him one way or another. But, Satoshi deserves much more than just merits. If the world hasn't perceived Bitcoin or blockchain as threats then I am quite sure he would have been nominated for Noble prize by now.
All our Merits will not be enough just so we could say how we are in awe with this man.

Of course as a creator of Bitcoin, it was very brave for him to introduce in the world. And now it is being accepted as digital money. And it its successful coun since it has the highest value.
I understand that for nostalgic or historical purpose one would want to show up in there after giving him some merit, but to be frank.. it is a bit of waste of merit. There's nothing wrong with giving satoshi a small symbolic amount, but giving him 100 points? 100 points of sMerit are so hard to get. He will never come back, these points should be better off given to people that are actively posting and giving this forum newer content.
Personally I always forget that the merit system even exists and always forget to give merit to posts i've liked, but If I was paying to the merit system I wouldn't be giving big amounts to people that haven't posted in 5+ years.

Hi everyone, i have been reading the Satoshi's posts on BTtalk and i think that he never seen the merit system way that exists currently, and i haven't seen how was before that, because of it i searched for the first comment ever, and give to him one of my merits, because if someone here deserves is that person (s), i see a lot of people doing this on their posts just like send Bitcoin to his address, i think he really gave the world something good to use

We should honored this great man Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto for his great creation the bitcoin because a lot of people around the globe has benifeted with his creation. Bitcoin is very popular and many people admired this to use this creation.
I think it is a must because Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of BTT. thiugh he do not reach the current event in this forum, giving him a merit is a big thing to do of the members, why? Because without him, forum of cryptocurrency would not made. I like also to give him a merit but I do not have any extra sendable merit to be given to him.
Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin who has been instrumental in finding blockchain technology. Without it we will not know Bitcoin.

I think this idea is fantastic, but I believe for bit coin will deserve more. It deserve a system which have a the system that both party have financially and mentally happy. But in general it’s a very good idea.
the way to appreciate his work is to help spread the function of bitcoin to the entire world community

Giving Nakamoto a merit here on bitcointalk is a good idea since we are not here today if he did not created bitcoin. This forum will not also exist without him since cryptocurrency and bitcoin will not be born. I will support this idea and I will try to look for Nakamoto's account here in this forum so I can give him a merit.
