Topic: Merit source application of Coolcryptovator. [Updated] (Read 1081 times)

Thanks to theymos and everyone who have supported me on my merit source application. Eventually admin has been considered me as a merit source. Hope now I will  be able to help more forum contributors. Thanks once again to admin for give me that opportunity

I also had to wait long time, several months, but I was eventually accepted as merit source.

I support CoolCryptovator in their quest to become a source, more of them is needed and I think you'd do great things if you were given the chance!

In light of your recent use of merits to support doxing of a very snr member and that endangered him and the boards funds then I think it best the reader strike this endorsement or treat it as a negative sign.

I would consider your removal from merit source more appropriate.

Too many endorsements from too many of those that have politics that we find detrimental to the boards optimal functioning.

Better for theymos to locate other members that can balance the rather unfair and biased politics that are being pushed hard on meta in recent times. Not add more that are closely aligned with them.

Now merit is TRUST, then we need to be very careful to keep a sensible balance of persons that are on either side.  Not have all merit sources that seem to align with the same group.

I approve this merit source application!

All things will be done in due or in the right time. I believe that you can be a merit source one day. So let me help you with it by bumping also this thread of yours. A little way to help for a good users that has extra ordinary posting skills like other legendary users here in the forum.

I don't understand your criticism? You believe strong endorsement (huge merit award and comments) by a person who abuses the trust system by his own admission, and supports an observable liar and scammer, and someone that is implicated in a serious extortion scheme is not a negative thing?  How so?
This makes me untrustworthy because I do not wish for those that are possibly strongly affiliated with such persons given more access to influence the systems of merit and trust?

Also, I don't feel your grasp of English is adequate for you to get certain nuanced or subtle points that the poster may be making. You may therefore not be suitable to be accurately applying merit where it is due.

Sorry, but that, with the dreadful posts you selected (regardless of the subsequent excuses) exposes you as an inappropriate merit source. We have enough of those. Let's have some people that can differentiate between net negative nonsense and real value.

Really I didn't look for high quality post, if always we look for high quality post then good poster/normal poster couldn't upgrade their rank. However, I have updated OP since few users already criticizing. Lets wait for admin respond.

Yeah in case that OP wishes to be a merit source then a good way is to prove its credibility as a merit source. Since  OP was challenge then it is up.to OP now.

We, OP is also a good poster. I have been here in the forum for a couple of months and always having fun or getting lessons from OP's post.

I would have to agree regarding the last few posts cited in the OP.

I would suggest that Coolcryptovator find 5 more posts that are deserving merit to replace the last half of his application.

If a merit source gave merit to any of the last 5 or so posts, people would probably be (rightfully) criticizing him.

You are the people making this forum far too radicalized with your propaganda and pure hate.
The system is not perfect but making this place should not be a war zone where you just accuse anybody who doesn't agree with you as an asslicker does no good.

I would like to voice my legitimate feedback or opposition on the basis of 4 key points. I may retract them if things change in the future.

1. Many of the presented exemplary posts apparently deserving merit are verging on shit posts. The latter ones are garbage and have minimal if not zero value. If those are the best you could select from the entire board then you are not fit as merit source.
2. You are far too desperate, pushy and self congratulatory. I have noticed this thread and his last one bumped and spammed far too often. Believes that legends are his inferiors?
3. Observably an ass kisser and beneficiary of merits that come from the meta cycling club.
4. I could not trust any person that supports Lauda or tmans use of red trust to silence: whistle blowing and presenting observable events demonstrating their previous untrustworthy actions on this board.

The support from Tman pushed me over the edge into opposing openly the application. It suggests to me that the merit will just find themselves circle jerking around to entrench the untrustworthy and devious members that in in DT even more deeply.

Additional merit sources are needed. They should be selected from a group that is in no way so closely affiliated with the current meta board/ DT merit cycling club.

One more good candidate for merit source, and he is waiting to long to receive answer.

After changes made in the trust system the level of your trust is no so obvious... For example I see this values more like        9: -0 / +3

The good thing is that user like OP has already proven its worth in the forum. Created a lot of helpful posts and even made some good replies in that are often helpful. The only problem for now is that there are some users also that are applying to be a merit source that are deserving also and has higher rank compared to OP. Anyway, it is theymos discretion on who among the applicants will be granted to become a merit source.

I think over a period of time OP will become a merit source. I have my prediction and it is 80% chance that OP will become one. Good Luck!

I don't think it's because of the posts/threads you choose. It's mostly likely the lack of time and lower place in the TO-DO list of Theymos.
On random basis he choose a few people so it will come your time in the next wave.

LoyceV has waited quite some time (a few months) before he got elected, and we are talking about an outstanding poster and trusted person so... just wait...

Few of the users become merit source without even putting the application. I just find your re applying weird.
