Can somebody please explain what is the merit system is Bitcointalk forum. On what basis one can get merit and what is the easiest way to get merit. Its very confusing:(
To say in simple terms, you get merit points when others find your answer/post helpful and provide you with merit points. By earning merit points, you slowly raise in forum rank. Good luck!

There is no easiest way to earn merit aside from making yourself a high quality person through your post. How would you do that? Just be active on reading in every section, avoid first yourself of creating post if not necessary in order to keep you from making spam posting. This task is very easy and it will only hard if you want to join in the signature campaign, but remember that ambition will not help you for sure to receive merit. Because you will be tempted to create posts no matter it is constructive or not just to have the exact number of activity to become a Jr member and can join in the campaign.Its very confusing:(
I have great confidence that others on this forum can provide you as much detail as you need on what the Merit System is and how one can acquire merit.
I'm really interested in the comment you made about the Merit System being confusing. Can you talk about this? How is the merit system confusing for you? How could the communication and information available be made more clear or easier to understand for you.
I don't have any say in how the system is structured or communicated but those that do will be able to see your comments, and I think we could all learn from it. There are a lot of people who are new here asking the same question around "what is this?"

Don't think so much about merit.Just do your duty properly.Read more and more for getting knowledge about crypto world. Solve others problem by sharing your opinion. If your opinion is more helpful,Forum member give you merit.It is a automation system.So post high quality content that'll really help others.

You have posted a couple of times in this board so It's impossible that you haven't seen the "Newbies - Read before posting" thread 
In short If you didn't bother searching/looking and reading, yes it would indeed be very confusing.

Merit system is created to eliminate the shitposters and spammers in the fourm because the forum has been flooded with these type of people who doesnt post good quality contents,some of these people are account farmers that is why theymos which is the owner of this forum decided to stop spam in the forum.You wont be given merits until you posts good quality contents,so people whom posting low quality contents from the past will be forced to put an extra effort so that they can have some merits.

You can get Merit by simply posting only things that matter on this forum. If you help other member of the BitcoinTalk community with your advices or in other manners, you will get Merit.
The merit system is still at the begining of it's road so it might take a while until people will get more merit. Most of the people either don't know what is it with it either don't give merit at all.
