Its very encourage able to see you trying to help others bereaved with merits and a need to rank up but, its a lot uncalled to start a merit thread without having enough to go round and yet somehow, you make the thread be about joy alone as it's merit source. Perhaps, you could have invited the community to look out for some good content describing merits from the beginners applications themselves and merit them squarely. That would would but still, you've got to have enough merits on your part and then, state out some criteria about who could apply and who shouldn't to ensure some moderation on the thread.
Congrats on ranking up by the way, your profile isn't boring at all, you've been impressive.

I joined this forum on 2018 and I didn't imagine my self able to help or contribute in any way I can but look what I achieved. I believe that as long as you are trying your best to contribute in this forum by partaking in discussions and other stuffs will surely bear fruit when the time comes. As of now, you have achieved quite a milestone especially there is merit system. The forum did affect my h
journey in crypto as it made me realized the mistakes that I did especially the posting habit before. Congratulations on ranking up.

Not even a year you have achieved an extraordinary history even though it's not only you but I appreciate that you have reached full membership to date. Congratulations.

The crypto space has many important lessons that can add to my insight, before I was also a hunter who only had money in my mind, but after all that I thought again if this continues I will not grow and then look for a space that I think is more useful and more relevant things to look for, until now I still continue to be in the crypto space hoping to add knowledge about so much space.

Being a member of the bitcointalk forum has been a blessing for me.
So far I've learned what to do before investing in a project, how the blockchain works, I have learnt the art of hodling. I'm still learning new things everyday on the forum.
Plus I recently became a full member. Congrats to me. I will be giving merits to newbies and junior members. Submit a post which you think deserves merit. (Only 5 slots available )

Congratulations to you on achieving the milestone of full member here on the forum and nice to see you want to encourage other members and help them by giving out some smerits. This forum is place where you can come as total newbie and if you have the wish to learn something unique then within short span of time you would have abudance of crypto related knowledge. You discuss with others and learn some technical aspects from the experienced members in full detail that is not possible on other platforms. This is best part of this forum and ranking up is just a secondary part required for signature campaign. But if you also become it's active part then soon you will be among top members that's how it works. So all the best to you again for achieving full member rank.

And it's full of members that have enough knowledge and understanding on how things work 😊. Congratulations on your new rank

It affected me positively. I have gained some self-esteem when dealing with crypto, have connected with my local (nationwide) crypto enthusiasts, and had made some crypto in the process. All in all I have been lucky to have heard of it, especially in a day and age where forums have long died out.

Congratulations OP on your success this forum has been an amazing eye opener to me because I get to know how to save and invest wisely, I was able to know different types of wallet and how its been used both offline and online.. but my question about it is why there isn’t any next of Kin during the procedure of registration, also can I use bitcoin for purchases in local store?

This forum was one of the best sources for me to learn more about Bitcoin, blockchain, crypto, etc., apart from participating in signature campaigns, airdrops, bounties, etc. The community here has been amazing, and helping newbies and beginners to get started in their crypto and blockchain journey. This is the forum where my journey officially began a few years ago.

I will be giving merits to newbies and junior members. Submit a post which you think deserves merit.

Why do you want to do this? What is the reason behind this? There are many big members in the forum who have a lot of S Merit. This is fine for them. You don't have any S Merit. So why would you cheat newcomers? According to your BPIP, there is no S Merit

There are some programs for merit. Newcomers can get merit by accepting their merit there

Congrats on your achievement. Have you become a Full member by getting merit from other merit giveaway threads? Don't take it negatively, I am asking because just after becoming a Full member you open a topic about merits. Only 5 merits on your hands which would spend within minutes on a good post. So really doesn't necessary to create a merit thread at all. But I always like to see motivational post which would encourage others to make a good post at least. Same here I have learned many things from the forum about crypto-related. On the other hand, I always try to contribute to the forum and the community gives me a great return and the result is I am Legendary here. Hope you will be Legendary some days. Best of luck.

Since 2017, this forum has given me knowledge about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies although until now I'm still having a hard time learning them technically. The forum is an information base about bitcoin and everything related to it which until now is worthy enough to be considered as an online library about bitcoin. My knowledge of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies so far 90% I got from forum since 2017. Forum give us the freedom to speak anything that is not limited to suggestion, feedback, opinion, speculation and others so that the impact may be quite broad as people for appreciate this technology.

The key here will always be your goal. The more you think about pursuing such goal, the more that you would be passionate about learning new things that is relevant to it.
True, we all need to be optimistic and consistent to achieve certain goals. I think it will be the same in all aspect of life both on the forum and in the real world.

I remember when I first joined this forum, my mindset was just to earn money. As time passed by, I began to appreciate cryptocurrencies more and my focus shifted on learning new things about the crypto-space. I started attending conferences in my country and learning basic trading. I also started reading into the ICOs of altcoins thinking on what coin would be profitable.

The key here will always be your goal. The more you think about pursuing such goal, the more that you would be passionate about learning new things that is relevant to it.

There's more out there than in here, this forum is a limited environment. The forum could be said to be a form of distraction that's if you let it be though. You can see the countless amount for altcoins been launched via bounty campaigns on the forum almost daily, all those are distractions.
As long as you treat this forum as information to research, and not actual factual. Then this is probably the most centralized place on the internet to learn about Bitcoin. Plus, this forum has over 10 years of history to scroll through, including that of Satoshi's posts, and other important figures. So, you kind of get an insight on their attitude, and what they thought were issues back 10 years ago.

There's things to be learned with Altcoins, but most actually prove why Bitcoin works, and others don't. Most altcoins released today are absolutely worthless, and aren't interesting at all. In fact, most are carbon copies with only slight deviations from the other thousand released that week.

Congratulations OP, I'm new to the forum and haven't made much of a contribution yet. I have mostly been reading what high ranking members like yourself have been posting and trying to learn how all this works. So far I have learnt how to sign a message thanks to @OgNasty. I spent more time reading scam accusations and reports and now I can say for a fact that I am invisible to scammers and their tricks thanks to @Coolcryptovator, @Ratimov, @lovesmayfamilis, @igehh and other scam busters in the forum. There are things I still want to learn like understanding blockchain technology, Nfts, how to spot good coins to buy ( the information in trading section is so diverse and often contradicting which leaves me confused)  and so on. I hope you all can assist me in my journey ahead. Thank you. Once again congratulations to you OP

I have been in the forum for the main purpose of learning, learning about cryptocurrency trading and spotting good projects. This forum helps me a lot with it and it takes me to new highs of knowledge in crypto unlike any other tutorials out there. Its been a rough year though with this bearish market but my journey never ends here(even though im at loss right now).

Congrats to you sir and more promotions to come.  Grin

I'm surprised newbies didn't take advantage of this thread to earn some merit. I see no reason hoard merits just for newbies

Don't limit your crypto journey to the forum, this is a nice starting ground but there are far better things out there, congratulations on your new rank.
Yes thank you. I have attended a few hackathon, the most valuable part of the experience was the opportunity to meet with blockchain tech gurus. I'm anticipating a crypto submit in my city. I'm sure it will be great experience for me.

How has the forum affected your journey in the crypto space?

This forum did not affect my journey in the crypto space, but defined it. Prior to my discovery of this forum, I had no idea about Bitcoin, altcoin, blockchain and the rest
Wow that's deep, I can feel the strong conviction you have and I can relate because that's my story.

How has the forum affected your journey in the crypto space?

This forum did not affect my journey in the crypto space, but defined it. Prior to my discovery of this forum, I had no idea about Bitcoin, altcoin, blockchain and the rest, I was technically living in a delusional world of only flat.
Then I was introduced to this forum and cryptocurrencies with it and I've not stopped digging in and learning about it since then.

This forum has also affected my overall internet usage; I am now more privacy conscious. I do not over share online. I check the permission apps require, I read ToS of most platforms, etc. This has improved my overall online safety and made me aware of so many scam techniques used these days.

Congrats for the full member climb there, OP.
To share my tiny and insignificant story, I was all cleared up from my misconception on how Bitcoin isn't entirely illegal. My mindset back then before I reached this forum is that Bitcoin is an illegal coin or something that is used as a currency only in the dark web.

To be honest, I even thought that I would only be able to see this forum through Tor browser and that thought scared me on my first few clicks in here because I was kind of paranoid what would be lying beneath the surface web. Cheesy

First, congrats for your newly position because it's not easy to rank up, so awarding merit to other users or members of the forum is another avenue of upliftment to the forum and junior members and members in particular, this community is the Genesis of  cryptocurrency information via investment  and also in all ramifications of crypto network, whoever that pay attention here will understand the full concept of cryptocurrency.
