3. Make your posts in-depth, but not unnecessarily long.
(With all due respect, op. Maybe you meant "not necessarily". I just noticed a bit of redundancy there. Peace.)

In this case both "not unnecessarily long" and "not necessarily long" are actually viable.

And since I'm in no way an English/grammar expert, I did a bit of research nalang to confirm if I'm right/wrong and it looks like my statement was fine. If I misunderstood what you're trying to say feel free to correct me.

Two formal books that used the same statements. Click on the screenshots to view the link.

You can also add these to the list.

  • Read and Understand.
Karamihan sa mga shitposts, nanggagaling sa mga posters na nagpopost agad-agad without even reading the entirety of the topic/thread.
Most shitposters kasi, topic title lang binabasa; ang resulta, redundant post, or napaka-off topic na reply.
Kaya if you want a high possibility of gaining merits, make sure to read and understand the topic you're responding to first.
  • Reply only on topics that interests you.
There's nothing wrong with learning more, pero kung nagsisimula ka pa 'lang, it's best to post and reply only on topic na kung saan ay may interest ka, sa topic na knowledgeable kana.
This may be a "Bitcoin" forum but there's a ton of other topics in this forum that tackles different niche and interests. Search around.  Wink

I have read other posts na din regarding merits and how to earn such pero I think iba pa din talaga kapag galing sa kapwa Pinoy. Primarily because mas madaling maunawaan yung mensahe na nais iparating.

This is really helpful and if you don't mind guys, I'll just add some of my thoughts. Smiley

1. Know little to nothing about Bitcoin? Go do some research first. . . .
You only need to know enough.
I remember the first time I joined this forum, I was clueless. I knew nothing, not even a single fact, about bitcoin. So I did my research. As op have said, the basics. Step-by-step kumbaga. Kasi, along the way naman, madadagdagan ang mga matutunan mo through your interaction with other forum members.

2. Add your sources. . .
Another important fact! Sources make your post more reliable and believable. Aside from that, kung di naman sa utak mo originally nanggaling yung idea, might as well recognize the author or the website para naman di tayo maakusahan ng plagiarism. Also, learn how to paraphrase. Don't depend solely on copy-paste.

3. Make your posts in-depth, but not unnecessarily long.
(With all due respect, op. Maybe you meant "not necessarily". I just noticed a bit of redundancy there. Peace.)

In other words, brevity. It's not always about being lengthy. It's about the content. Remove the unnecessary and irrelevant statements and just highlight your main point.

4. Expound.
Give reasons why your point is sound. But also make sure that it is logical so that the reader can follow your train of thought. And don't forget #3.

5. Be more "organic".
Yes, parang nakikipag usap lang. After all, we're here to communicate and express, and not to impress.

I also want to share what I've read sa isang post dito sa forum (forgive me if I cannot remember who said it but feel free to remind me guys so I can give credit where credit is due). He said, "if you want to earn merits, don't think about merits." Point is, focus on yourself, on how you post. Improve. Learn more so you can share more. Once you do that, everything will follow. Even merits. So, kalma lang. Smiley

Again, such a helpful topic kabayan!

Let's keep nationaility and race out of the equation. Your post deserves merits? You receive merits. Your post doesn't deserve merits? You don't receive merits. Simple as that.

Most likely not, pero minention ko to dahil dun sa isang reply na nakita ko a few months ago(if I remember correctly). Something something about a banned/accused pinoy member, and ung reply is something like "bakit mo nilalaglag ung kabayan natin?" or something like that. Cheesy

2. Add your sources. As much as possible pag may sinasabi ka sa isang thread or reply, add your sources kung maaari. Having sources simply gives your post more validity.

Allow me to add one more, Be consistent sa pag-post. At least build some kind of reputation dito para makilala ka by continuously engaging in quality discussions.

I am one of that).

Yep. It's not super easy, but it ain't hard either.

  • Don't make generic post/replies - like if may nag ask what bitcoin is then sasabihin mo it is a cryptocurrency and such.
But 1 day, I followed some techniques and strategies to make your post attractive (thanks for the thread made by cabalism and finalshot about tips on making a quality post). And from that, I gradually realize how to attack the eye of the audience.
While having your own "style" is not really 100% necessary, dahil most of all ang importante in the end is ung content, yes, having your own sort of "style" of saying things might help significantly. Kumbaga sa mundo ng libro, gaano man ka-informative at ka-ganda ng knowledge ni binibigay ng libro mo, pero kung pangit ang pagka-sulat, it won't gain as much traction.

Kudos to mk4,

Snip...

Thank you for sharing some tips sir! You are a good model for Filipino users in this community.

As I have seen sa mga merit source and other legendaries, binibigyan talaga nila ng merit yung mga quality post even if you are a newbie or a higher rank.

Kailangan mo din talaga ng research, understanding and time to share quality post in this forum.

In my own case, I did a lot of post, I don't think think that some of them are irrelevant or unuseful even to the newbies. I have shared what I've learned in trading, tips and so far.

But 1 day, I followed some techniques and strategies to make your post attractive (thanks for the thread made by cabalism and finalshot about tips on making a quality post). And from that, I gradually realize how to attack the eye of the audience.

Proudly to say kahit na in small amount, I got 40 merits when I came back since April, 2020. Yes, that is only a small amount of merit compared to others. But, you will be satisfied when you will receive merits because of your post. I am also glad that merit system for me works out. And I am glad to say that I captured the eye of cyrus and suchmoon from one of my post.

But I am eager to continue posting and be a senseful member of this forum.

One tip also I can say, given na kasi sa taas yung iba:

Impression:

Gaya ng sinabi ko, we should have our own style to attack a certain topic. We have to realize that everybody who are posting or making a thread has higher IQ. But once you caught their eye probably, that will be a win-win situation for you. We have also need to take our reputation in this forum because some of the users are watching us. And if they see you that you are a quality poster, they wouldn't hesitate to send you the right numbers you deserve for.

Dumugo ilong ko. Haha.

Kudos to mk4,

Sayang kabayan out of gas na'ko para magbigay. Bigyan sana kita lol  Grin. Kiddin' aside, thanks for taking care of us pa rin to grow up with this simple thread.

Anyway, may mga harsh truths man, take it as inspiration. If you think you're probably not qualified, try to learn the ropes muna. Think long term and don't rush in.
You are really good poster and we can really observed that as you are part of one of the popular Signature campaign and we all know na good poster lang ang natatanggap diyan.

Additional rin siguro 'yong best representative per board, and 'yong capable of gathering users na ma-engage sa thread na gagawin niya?. Dunno but I think incentives 'yon? Though he's a good poster. Here's the link. Am not totally certain ah, peace Grin.

Going back, may gusto rin ako idagdag. I may not be in the place to say this and medyo ironic kung sasabihin ko 'cause I am still on the process pa rin naman of growing up here. But whatever, I wanna say this either way.

  • Don't make generic post/replies - like if may nag ask what bitcoin is then sasabihin mo it is a cryptocurrency and such.

'Di pa naman name-mention 'to right? Or baka may na misinterpret ako from the list above. Ayon lang siguro napansin ko sa karamihan sa users and even I myself. I am not trying to say na mag-stand out over the others (kasi natural na mangyayari 'yon). Put some difference lang and standing out among the others would naturally come.

One last thing to add na rin. Hindi 'to necessarily need para maka-earn ng merit but an advice lang para tumagal ka rito. Have fun lang while staying. Don't ever let the bad feeling of not receiving any merits spoil the fun. That's it!

Stay safe rin kabayan!

The list you make is concise and direct to the point. Marami ang nahihirapan sa mga Pilipino, makakuha ng merit dahil sa totoo lang hindi naman talaga madali makakuha, but as per your guide kung gagawin lang naman talaga nila ang best nila and ippriority ang learning kaysa sa earning hindi malabo na mabilis lang silang makakaproduced ng merit to rank up.

Ive started as hunter upon joining here, and I realized na mas malawak pala talaga ang forum outside sa simpleng airdrop and bounty. So I try to make up sa mga hindi ko alam, like pag attach ng mga image, codes, and etc.

Habang kumikita ng extra sa Bitcointalk, try to start other online(or offline) businesses rin para naman ma-diversify ang income natin at hindi tayo umaasa sa iisang industriya at iisang website.
I agree with this, Dont spread your eggs on one basket ika nga. Take it as bonus na lang yung earning dito aside sa employment or business na we have IRL.

Anyway nice suggestion and thanks for this, sana tumataktak to sa maraming low rank na pilipino and maging inspiration ang mga katulad mo na user dito.

Una sa lahat, I want to make some things clear:

  • I'm against account farming.
Keep the earnings secondary, and keep the passion for Bitcoin first. Look at the potential earnings only as an extra bonus.
Let's keep nationaility and race out of the equation. Your post deserves merits? You receive merits. Your post doesn't deserve merits? You don't receive merits. Simple as that.

1. Know little to nothing about Bitcoin? Go do some research first. In the first place, nasa Bitcointalk forum ka. (over-exaggerated, but you get the point)

You only need to know enough. If you're not even willing to learn the basics, probably go try earning money in some other places instead.

2. Add your sources. As much as possible pag may sinasabi ka sa isang thread or reply, add your sources kung maaari. Having sources simply gives your post more validity.

3. Make your posts in-depth, but not unnecessarily long. Trust me, nahahalata ng karamihan iyon. Kung sapat na ung 2 sentences na sagot, then keep it at 2 sentences! It's the content that matters in the first place, hindi ung length.

4. Expound. May nagtatanong kung anong magandang wallet gamitin? Sagutin niyo ng maayos and give your reasons kung bakit un ang suggestion niyo. Wag ung susuggest niyo lang ung Electrum tapos sasabihin niyo lang "not your keys not your bitcoin". Add more details. But then again, wag ung pasadyang pinahaba lang ung post.

5. Be more "organic".

"Quick" final thoughts.

If you need to try so hard to earn merits, most likely baka hindi ka qualified to earn merits in the first place. Bakit? Simply dahil mataas ang kaalaman nila tungkol sa Bitcoin to the point na magaganda lahat ng sagot nila tungkol sa mga topics kahit walang ka effort effort ang pagsagot nila.

Second, please don't make Bitcointalk your main source of income.

Anyway, may mga harsh truths man, take it as inspiration. If you think you're probably not qualified, try to learn the ropes muna. Think long term and don't rush in.

Habang kumikita ng extra sa Bitcointalk, try to start other online(or offline) businesses rin para naman ma-diversify ang income natin at hindi tayo umaasa sa iisang industriya at iisang website.

Lastly, best of luck sa lahat, and keep safe mga kabayan 🇵🇭.
