This is what I think too. I don't think they will introduce a new token in a bear market. That's why I've been focusing on bounties, like the one from candlelabsdotorg, instead of airdrops. I think metamask airdrop will be the biggest airdrop of 2022. It has not been introduced yet but I have a feeling it will be this year. A lot of speculations on how its gonna be but no one really knew the process or selection they are going to do. Metamask is known to be a big wallet project and surely everyone uses it.

Is there any support for the validity of the rumor about Metamask Airdrop? I have read about this rumor way back months ago so I am interested if this rumor had come to a realization. I hope to see an article that contains the statement of the Metamask developer announcing that they will have an airdrop to Metamask users in due time. If there is none, I think this will stay as a rumor then.
They could resume the airdrop and the proposed date if they want as they are in control of it but I don't think makes sense as people are expecting this much. I believe, pushing their schedule this year gives a positive return to them and may encourage users to remain loyal to metamask which this is might the reason for having this giveaway.

The UNI airdrop some time ago surprised various parties, because the airdrops obtained were quite large. But it is not right if it is done now. The current airdrop means nothing if crypto conditions get worse. We see Bitcoin going back to $10k or $15k in the near future. If Bitcoin continues to drop, of course Alt will experience a drastic decline.

Probably they will handle sybil attacks as seen on other criteria recent airdrops performed. Optimism were able to be deployed and given perfectly to their users with removing such farmers in thr process. Though we I likely to agree with you that this airdrop must be fair and not favored some of those whales who are literally trying to farm airdrops with their number of wallets.

It's no doubt that meta mask has grown substantially to have their own token and if the rumor becomes true then we may be having something to cushion the effect of the bear market as the airdrop promises to be a great success. Meta mask has over 10,000,000 wallet addresses and the users of the platform are on the increase, so there's no doubt that we'll be having a great deal.
It would be great if they made it clear about this program. Many people had heard about the rumors before and used it more often on the metamask in hopes of getting a retroactive association. There is no official announcement yet at this time but there have been some hints about the $Mask airdrop. It's going to be a huge one especially if they launch in a good market condition and everyone who qualifies must be a lucky individual as they will try as much to weed out people that want to game the airdrop with many different criteria.

Its just my guess actually. With a lots of rumors and tweets from some of those guys related to them, it can give you a clue that they are close to launching. Some could get rich on that, especially if the value is quite good and also depends on the amount of money you are reffering as rich guy.No need to create an account for their service, hence if you received airdrop from uni, 1inch, dydx, and other known airdrops, you knew already how this will work.
I am not sure if it will happen soon or not, as I fully believe it will be the biggest airdrop in the history of the crypto market. I think it will soon make an announcement regarding this program, as the popularity of Metamask in this space is so great. Moreover, compared to previous airdrops like UNI and OP, this will probably have a similar or greater reward.

Now is not the best time to give away new tokens. Look at the price of the token for optimism, a very large drop in price, like all coins on the market. If I were the developers, I would wait for a more suitable time, because the capitalization of the project will be low.
