Bitcoin in Niger State💯
With all what these presidential candidate said, will it be possible for him to stand a chance to become the next president of US ?
I think if he does become the president of US bitcoin price will shoot up in the nearest future  to six digits and bitcoin will gain more ground in the world. What are your suggestions on this

One thing I like with the mayor is his believe in the crypto market and how he has promoted Bitcoin investments over time. I think this is working for him.

Francis Suarez had a 400% growth in his own net worth during his first tenure, letting the entire Miami fall in love with cryptocurrency and tempting firms to bring their loud promotional efforts and influencers to the city.

Francis Suarez, the mayor, is a real estate lawyer, a private equity professional, and the happy owner of a $235,000 boat that he purchased after earning substantial profits in Bitcoin investments. While he has spent his time campaigning for president, showcasing the Laser Eyes Robot Bull Statue, and running 5Ks, he has also made a lot of money in this cause.

Despite the market crash of last year, the 45-year-old Republican's net worth has more than doubled to $3.5 million.

While Mayor Francis may have grassroots support and be able to canvass for votes on a consistent basis, I think he does not appear to have the national attention/coverage that Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., also known by his initials RFK Jr., has garnered ahead of their 2024 Presidential bid.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
There’s still no guarantees that if ever he wins, he will continue to boost bitcoin as a currency. You know, politics is a big lie, and everyone’s force to lie to create a fake reputation. But IMHO, Mayor Francis has poor chances to stand out from this election. First, he’s not that famous to be recognized by many citizens. And second, maybe it’s a better thought if he just decide to run in a lower position than beat those veterans in this position. However, that’s just my personal thought, no one’s really know what will be the final result after this presidential race.

It just seems like every politician wants to use Bitcoin as a campaigning tool. Granted, Suarez is pro Bitcoin, but this approach to using Bitcoin in campaigns is getting quite old. Also, if we're him, I'd rather take my interests elsewhere, because even if Trump is muddled in legal battles and all that, he'd still have to contest with the likes of RFK Jr and Rob DeSantis and these dudes have more chances of winning than him. You know, they all have nice and beautiful plans for Bitcoin till they get into power.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt the US will let Bitcoin take supremacy over the dollar, so even if he said he's accepting it as campaign donations, it would end there.

But sad to say, I guess that’s a wrong decision because majority of the people are still anti-bitcoin
Where did you get that type of statistics? A lot of Americans own bitcoin and other cryptos, and a lot of American politicians are fighting to defend the cryptos, and several states are clearly pro-crypto so who says that the majority of people are anti-bitcoin? And why should the be anti-bitcoin? What are the reasons?

I understand that he’s been using bitcoin only to gain national recognition from people. But sad to say, I guess that’s a wrong decision because majority of the people are still anti-bitcoin so instead of gaining votes, it might put  him in a more worst spot in this coming election. That’s why I don’t think Suarez will have high rate winning with this upcoming presidential election, because aside that he’s a new face in the presidential race, his popularity and achievements are nothing compared to Trump and Biden.

While both Biden and Trump aren't fans of Bitcoin, at least the American people and the world as well have heard about it from no less than presidential aspirants. It speaks a lot as to Bitcoin's legitimacy. It, for example, says Bitcoin isn't a Ponzi.

I don't think that's true. There are many bitcoin fans among Trump and Biden supporters. I honestly think Trump is more pro-crypto than Biden too. It is just that Trump likes USD more and that's only natural because he was (and probably will be again) the president of the US. Wouldn't it be strange for a president to support a decentralized project while they have their own currency? In the end the voters don't really care what they think about crypto anyway. Half of the voters are pro-Trump and the other half is pro-Biden and lots of people from both sides are pro-crypto.

So, what's not true, then? There are indeed many Bitcoin fans among both Trump and Biden supporters. Does it make them Bitcoin fans as well?

Supporting a decentralized currency doesn't mean ditching your own national currency. Bitcoin is not there to completely replace fiat, after all. El Salvador's Bukele supports both Bitcoin and the USD as their country's legal tenders. He shows that it can be done however strange it may appear.

But my point was only that no less than the presidentiables in the US are making statements in support of Bitcoin. Whether these presidentiables will be successful or not is beside the point. What's important is that they acknowledge the technology before the country and the world.

Bitcoin friendly Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has announced on Coindesk TV today that he will be accepting donations to his presidential campaign in bitcoin for as little as 0.00034. .....
The more people or parties who have thoughts and decisions like this, the better it will be for Bitcoin. Because after all, there are certainly not a few Bitcoin users. And by facilitating them with these kinds of things it will further help to grow Bitcoin adoption more broadly and make things easier for Bitcoin users.

With all what these presidential candidate said, will it be possible for him to stand a chance to become the next president of US ?
This cannot be ascertained. Funds whether he will always hold his words regarding this Bitcoin in the future, also cannot be guaranteed. Hopefully this statement is not only in order for them to attract more sympathizers from crypto users but because they are truly Bitcoin enthusiasts and lovers who want to develop Bitcoin adoption and acceptance.

Bitcoin friendly Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has announced on Coindesk TV today that he will be accepting donations to his presidential campaign in bitcoin for as little as 0.00034. He said that this is a process of developing technologies that are going to create democratizing opportunities for wealth creation and are not manipulated by a human beign's ulterior motives, political goals e.t.c.
I personally do not trust politicians and whatever they say until they get it done. Many experience with many politicians have taught me that they cannot always be trusted, and prior to elections, these people always find ways to paint themselves as good people with interest of the people, to win the love of people.

Mayor Francis has being criticising Joe Biden administrative on the way he is handling crypto and said that the administrative don't understand crypto. He said that he will ban CBDC. He vowed to make Miami a bitcoin hub and has accepted his salary in bitcoin.
True that the Biden administration don't really understand crypto, but it is not just Biden who is the problem, there is a long list of powerful people in government who even with understanding of cryptocurrency do not just want it. If somehow on the slim chance Mayor Francis have of becoming president he becomes president, It will not easy to do the things he has planned.

The statements of the voters before and after the elections differ greatly, just as the United States is a country of institutions, and issuing a decision to ban or accept Bitcoin does not depend on a man or even seeing a party. There are many lobbies that may be with or against accepting Bitcoin, so the matter will take years, if not decades, before that We see a clear adoption of Bitcoin in the United States, it is more than a statement of a mayor who may be president. I have been hearing for years that Miami will be a center for cryptocurrency, and I do not know how taxes will be calculated then. I hope it will be acceptable.

Though Mayor Francis is a Bitcoiner, he has no chance of winning as president. RFK Jr who is more popular than him had proposed bigger stuff like backing the USD with BTC.

Sadly Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has little chance of winning.

I doubt Mayor Suarez has a good chance to become the next president of the country.

I see the bottle as half full. The next president of the USA will surely not be a bitcoiner, but the fact that certain candidates are bitcoiners gives very good publicity to the subject. I would like to see that in other parts of the world, that in the next presidential election there would be at least one pro bitcoin candidate.

To promise is not to deliver. All politicians, when they strive for power, promise a lot. Francis Suarez chose an interesting strategy for his PR campaign. Times are changing and therefore, politicians are beginning to adapt to the current technological realities. Bitcoin ceases to personify the creation of evil for ponzi schemes and connections with criminal activity in the eyes of the public. Bitcoin is slowly beginning to represent progress and technological innovation, and some politicians have undoubtedly decided to take advantage of this.

Francis Suarez will ban CBDC? Don't make me laugh. He doesn't have enough strength or influence for this, and these are just another loud and empty words.

Presidents don't become only because of the voiced promises. I think you overestimate this possible candidate and take his words too close to heart, and also on faith.

Politics is still the same as a popularity contest that's why Biden and Trump are still the closest in the polls. The rest are just wallflowers trying to get noticed.
So you are saying that Biden and Trump and popular? Among who? Trump has some serious problems right now, he's lucky if he's not going to end up in jail at this point; Biden is probably the most useless president of the last 20-30 years, he is just too old for that kind of job. I don't know who the next president of the USA will be but I really hope we won't see another Biden vs Trump...

Trump does not like Bitcoin or crypto at all. When he was president he sent a bearish tweet that he never liked them at all and warned people to be careful of them.

He only did those NFTs as a cash grab. Basically he got paid by some company to promote the nft and he got a large share of the profits. No idea even if he kept his word and promised those “dinner with trump” as some of those had.

Biden probably has no clue what crypto currency exactly is and he is just staying out of it in my opinion.

This is actually quite bullish and quite surprising — RFK, Suarez, and DeSantis are quite pro (or at least fairly neutral) on Bitcoin; not unlike Biden. Bitcoiners might have a hard time deciding on this one, though they’re mostly learning towards RFK as far as I know.

This was the original news article https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/08/04/miami-mayor-francis-suarez-to-accept-presidential-campaign-donations-in-bitcoin-and-other-crypto/

It looks like Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is a strong technology and blockchain adopter who accepts a salary in Bitcoin, and he was also the pioneer of MiamiCoin (MIA) which seems like a good idea but needed better execution. I'm interested in knowing how far he will go in the Presidential election considering he was the mayor of Miami previously.

He is accepting donations through BitPay which is not very bitcoin friendly. I first heard about this story because shitcoiners on Reddit were celebrating that a presidential candidate was accepting their favorite shitcoin. The bitcoin stuff just seems like pandering. If he was a real bitcoiner he wouldn't be using BitPay.

It's not such a bad idea to try gaining votes from the crypto community but it may just work locally for him, not nationwide. Politics is still the same as a popularity contest that's why Biden and Trump are still the closest in the polls. The rest are just wallflowers trying to get noticed.
So is the fate of most presidential candidates that fund themselves for their campaigns, they've got nothing against those that have the backing of the either of two parties. I feel bad that that's still how we see political campaigns as popularity contest, the incompetent one that talk loud and overpower the smart ones will almost always win but I hope that as we grow as a global nation, we would see more change in that aspect and choose the right leaders that will put the people's interest first before their's.

Pretty nice publicity for bitcoin but I hope that the mainstream media has picked up on that because I don't see how it can really affect bitcoin in PR perspective if it's not shown to mainstream media where there's more people that don't know about bitcoin that watches there, comparing that to bitcoin/cryptocurrency news platforms that's mostly comprised of people that already know about it anyways.

Mayor Suarez has a slim chance of becoming the president when we have candidates like Biden and Trump that are also running the presidential race. It is a good thing that the politicians are talking about bitcoin at least this will make people to believe more on bitcoin. One thing that I know is that politicians can come up with big talk during their campaign just to win more people to their side but once they are elected into office they will do the opposite of their promises that is why this politicians are not to be trusted in whatever that they are saying during their campaigns. Bitcoin will continue to become popular with or without Mayor Suarez to winning the election.

I doubt Mayor Suarez has a good chance to become the next president of the country. This early, it seems it will be a rematch between Biden and Trump.

As far as Bitcoin is concerned, it has at least been getting some attention. Whether the candidates promoting it will win or not, at least it has been brought to the table. Kennedy Jr., Mayor Suarez, Governor DeSantis, and Ramaswamy have all been in support of Bitcoin. They've been vocal about it.

While both Biden and Trump aren't fans of Bitcoin, at least the American people and the world as well have heard about it from no less than presidential aspirants. It speaks a lot as to Bitcoin's legitimacy. It, for example, says Bitcoin isn't a Ponzi.
