Okay, so when you discovered your account was hacked, you informed Michett about it and he gave kpriess negative trusts making the account totally useless to him! Cheesy Cheesy
Nice one

Apparently, there is no real way to prove your identity on this forum as its core is a little archaic.. And no, I don't know Mitchell..

I recently came back to BitcoinTalk and found that my account had been hacked [not sold].. It's not Amusing.

Anyways, if a mod needs proof to close it down, I still have the same old carpet and desk that are shown on my old trade pictures..

KPRIESS HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. DO NOT TRUST IT'S OWNER.

Why did you create "realkpriess" on May 5, and not post anything until October?

I created the account but neglected the situation until now, or at least, that's what I think happened..

I don't need the Forum. I read an article that linked here, and remembered I had an account [which its password had changed], then saw someone was posting on my behalf..
Because it sucks to see a scammer linked to the nickname you use all over the Internet.
You could see the trusted feedback left by the DT members (if you know what that is) which speaks for itself.Don't worry about anyone initiating trades with them.As long as your alias for the internet is concerned, you can always ask them to check the feedbacks.

I already provided pictures and that's the best I can do, if it's not enough then I'm sorry..

I do not. I got out of Bitcoin a while ago.. Sorry.
Just Curious : -
If you got out bitcoin scene a while ago,why you still need to use this forum ? More like your forum account ? Don't worry about people trading with him, since he is covered in all red,no one would bother him for anything.

While I take a stance against the account hackers,I personally believe the only way to prove ownership is through signing messages from an address, everything else is gullible.

It seems like it checks out.

The photobucket site had also uploaded his previous image here: table and carpet
and the pictures seem to match, albeit this time a lot darker than the originals.

Anyway, at this point it seems like realkpriess is in fact the owner of the kpriess account (though I am curious to hear the answer to the question you posed).

Then if you can provide pictures of the table and carpet right now, that might help build your case... Though it's not uncommon to be able to have photoshop skills.

Additionally, theymos has previously said:

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.

You're probably unlikely to have the account returned.

And whoa, it's been a while since this thread was last updated. That's a 9-month break!

How did you lose the private key? (By lose, I mean stopped having access to)

Yes, I read it before I posted here it and I'm not expecting to have it back, it just sucks that people are getting scammed using my nickname..

After I quit Bitcoin, I deleted all traces of it including wallets, accounts, passwords, etc. on my old hard drive, before I destroyed it. But I forgot about this account and well, now we know what happened..

Pictures is the best thing I can do now.. I'm also uploading them from the same Image Host service I used back then..

I recently came back to BitcoinTalk and found that my account had been hacked [not sold].. It's not Amusing.

Anyways, if a mod needs proof to close it, I still have the same old carpet and desk that are shown on my old trade pictures..

Do you also have access to this address?

If you can, please sign a message using it stating that you, in fact, are the real owner of the account.

I am afraid you have a very bad case here........

I have a suggestion to redeem yourself.

I have studied your history, you have sold a lot of mining hardware and mining equipment in the past........

Example here
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.693427

It is reasonable to assume that you have sold the stuff by now.....

HOWEVER

The table and tiles provide you with a (relative) unique signature....

If you can take an exact pictures to show you have a brown wooden table (the exact same one) standing on gray tiles, then would you have a much stronger case.

You can also show a picture of this rather "unique" carpet seen in the background.....

Remember to place a handwritten paper note in the picture with user name + date.

If you can't sign a bitcoin message, then you are not the real owner.

Well, I have forgotten the blockchains password since I do not use it anylonger. Both of my neg trust given are literaly stupid, non sense. Just wanted to clarify things, I am the real and only owner. Anyways thank you.
If you have access the the email account associated with the blockchain.info account you might have an email containing the secret passphrase for all your bitcoin addresses.

Including a stolen database and at least one forced logout.
but he is a super guy, forced logout was for normal users

I feel like many more negative feedbacks coming to my profile as a gift I always receive when I tag/expose someone Smiley

I definitely had forgotten the passowrd but fortunately my account is signed in forever so I still was able to login. I might not have used the exact vocabulary but yea reset, means changed to a new password.
really

you forgotten password then how you managed to change without having old one.
you account was signed in forever, since 2014. I am surprised , many things happened during 2014-2015 including 2-3 times forum downtime but you were still logged in.

Including a stolen database and at least one forced logout.

You're welcome, but 'I am the real owner' is not to be considered as a valid proof.
